Is 8 days too much ?

To answer your question on crowds, we were there for the last week of April 2003. The crowds were very manageable. Our average wait for a ride was 15 minutes. Our longest wait was 45 minutes for Peter Pan. We took advantage of the FP and it worked out great. Enjoy your trip.

We are going for 2 weeks this time. There is so much to do besides WDW parks. Just make sure you have/rent a car so you aren't stuck on the property/at the mercy of the buses.

Cheers :)

We're walking out the door for right now for 9 days. No it is not too long!!!!

I think it will depend on the ages of the people in your party, and how much they are into the whole thing. I know when we went when I was a teen, we were in Orlando for 5 days, 4 at the parks, and 1 for.......shoot, I don't remember. Busch Gardens? I would have loved to do more, but my brothers (at the time they were 13, 10, and 8) were burnt out after 4 days. 8 days wouldn't be too much for me!! But it might be too much for young kids, or people who aren't huge Disney fans (ohhhh, the blasphemy.......)

( sorry if this is repeated)

what I like about a stay that long is you do not get so burnt out...unless you get to go all the time ,4-5 days imo is so short that I feel I have to cram everything in. whereas even 7 days gives me a day out of park plus enough time to see what I want in the parks and even go back for more!,,we do stick to disney and the "big 4 " though since water parks are really not our thing. doing DQ this time but that is on the out of parks day.

My girlfriend and I will be staying at CSR/Silver plan for 7 night from April 20 to 27 and I was just wondering if 8 days is more then enough to see everything… or is it to much ?

The last time I was in Orlando 16 years ago we did MK and EE in 3 days, but with the additions of 2 other parks and 2 water parks I’m thinking 8 days should be ok ?

And what are the crowds like in late April ?

Thanx !!

I don't think 8 days is enough! We always stay 10-12 days and go twice a year. We still haven't done everything. I could stay there for a month and still miss it when I leave.

That is how long we are going for. My wife and I like to spend time exploring hotels, Downtown Disney and stuff like that. So we do not do a length of stay pass, just get the 5 day park hopper and in the middle of the stay go boating for a day and just generally fiddle around exploring stuff using Disney transportation. The resort is huge, plenty of places to go without entering any park.

Plus the kid in me still finds the Monorail and boat transportation rides in themselves. :teeth:

Since you have a package, can you drop your arrival or departure day?? That way you could use one day for the above mentioned activities and enjoying your own resort. I think 7 days in the park will be enough for you and your girlfriend.

Have a great trip.

We're planning a trip for 7 days this Dec. We have two very active 6-year olds, a boy and a girl. I originally planned on staying at the Courtyard DTD because of the cheap rates. However, I changed my mind about the hotel. We're now staying at the Doubletree DTD. We got an excellent rate, $79 night. I couldn't see all four of us together in one room for 7 nights. We're used to our space, being able to get away and shut the door for awhile. I think 7 or 8 days gives you plenty of time to enjoy the parks without feeling you have to rush to get your money's worth. However, do be realistic about your accomodations. I really think the suite with seperate living area and bedroom will do a lot to reduce stress. Yes, its a little more money, but you're going to have a good time. Don't let a few dollars saved ruin the trip for you.

We go to WDW every year and never take a trip that is less then 11 days. We try to make it for at least 15 days but never less than 11. And we have not seen it all yet. There are still place we haven't gone and places we haven't eatin' at yet. So in my mind 8 days is definately not to many. For your first trip in awhile I would say it was just about right. Enough time to do the things you want and to make you want to go back and see some more.

No we just got back from 8 days and we still didn't get to do everything on our list. Rain was part of the problem.
