Quick question about 5th generation: My dd9 wants an ipod touch and a radio/alarm clock (iHome) for it. Will the 5th generation work on an iHome since it has a different charger?

I just saw an ad for a 4th gen. 16gb for $195 w/ a $40 gift card at Target. Does anyone know if this is only at the store? I need to order online and am wondering if I can get the same deal.

I asked at Target when I was shopping, and they said they didn't know.

I think you'd have to get one that says its specific for the new Ipods/Iphones

I ended up ordering from BestBuy online since their iPod Touch 5th generation went live. It includes the $50 BestBuy gift card and this was the best deal I found for this one. Now I don't have to deal with BestBuy at midnight tonight (not that I was sold on going)!

Got it for $175 after 5% red card and 5% pharmacy rewards discounts were applied. So, taking off the gift card, my net cost was only $135.

Ordered a black one and a white one 16gb from target with the $40 gc, so I will get $80 in gc total. Looks like I will be getting a lot at target lol.

I was planning on getting in line tonight at 7pm for the 9pm opening. I'm so glad I don't have to do that now!

It will take the $40 off in the check out process. I ordered one this morning, which was much more comfortable in my house than fighting the crowds.

I want one for my DD10. I had the $129 one in my cart at the Apple.com site, but then didn't buy it, but do you think that will be the best deal? I figured if I could get a new one for $20 more I would go that route, but refurbished are good quality right?

We bought a refurbished Ipod touch 8 gb 3 yrs ago from apple. We bought it for our then 7 yr old daughter and we have had no issues whatsoever with it. Hope that helps.

Apple is having their BF sale today = 32G Touch 5 for $268 plus tax with free shipping, and 16G Touch 4 for $178.... the higher Gig ones are on sale also.

I ended up buying mine at BestBuy online to take advantage of the $50 BB giftcard deal. I basically paid full price (minus $5) for the ITouch 5, and the gift card will come in handy for either ITunes gift cards or a video game for DS. This was the best "deal" for me, I think
