When ever I tell someone I am on Atkins...the first thing out of most people's mouths is something negative. I guess that is just human nature, but I have come up with so many reasons that I LOVE being on Atkins, I REFUSE to mention the few things that I don't really like. In my heart I know that the good out way the bad.

As Jiminy has told us...our journey success depends on our ATTITUDES....
So...I want to know all the "good things" you LOVE about your plan.

I can eat as much as I want of some really great foods.

I can "pick" as I make dinner.

I can go on forever....just wondering if anyone else felt the same way.

I love Weight Watchers because NOTHING is off limits!

I can eat ANYTHING and EVERYTHING I want! I just have to watch the portion sizes.

I just don't think I could do anything as a LIFESTYLE CHANGE that required me to totally give up something. I could do it for a limited time, but not for life!

That's why I love Weight Watchers! I don't like being told I can't have something! That just makes me want it more! heehee

I love weight watchers because I know it is something I can do for the rest of my life. It has taught me how to look for the healthier choices out there and made me think before I eat=)
And it works!!! That's the best part that I love about ww's..it has helped me to get 70lbs off of this body!!!! Wahoooo!!!
 
I love Atkins because I am never ever hungry...well unless I forget my lunch like today :rolleyes: I have so much to choose from and most of my favorite things are on the menu. I also love that I know I can keep this a lifestyle change for the rest of my life :)
 

I love Atkins because it has been the ONLY thing I have tried that has be able to put my blood sugar numbers into the normal range! ANd all blood test results have been absolutely astounding! It is easy to prepare food and I actually enjoy eating what I'm eating. I don't ever really crave anything while on this plan- well, except for the first week or so, but after that it's all good!
BUT- the biggest thing I love about Atkins is all the new friendships I have formed with other Atkins people. Of course, taht is not just limited to Atkins followers- I enjoy all my friendships with people here that are tring to be conscientious about their health.
 
I love Weight Watchers because I like the support from the group meetings and I love my leader!

I like that no food is off limits!

I like learning portion control because I feel like its good for me, but it is HARD!!!

I feel like its something I can stick with forever. I've been doing it 3 1/2 months and I don't have that "I can't wait to get off this diet" feeling.
 
I am using the WW plan. I like it because like others have said, no food is off-limits, I just make the choice in what I eat. It has taught me to get back to the basic portion sizes instead of having such large portions of items.

I feel like I will be able to continue with this life change after I reach goal because it has taught me to change my thinking about eating.

I also feel like you have to incorporate exercise into any plan to get the final results you want to have.

I like a lot of others, if I'm told I can't have something, it just makes me want it that much more.

I love Atkins because it's a good lifestyle change. I feel good when I'm following it! No heartburn, lower blood pressure, lots of energy!

I don't have to worry about watching my portions, as long as I'm eating foods that are healthy! :)
 
Low Carbing --- What do I love most? This will be hard because I love so much about this way of eating!

1.) My IBS symptoms have totally disappeared
2.) I can eat whenever I want - until I've had my fill
3.) I hardly ever have hunger or cravings
4.) I'm eating so much healthier than I've ever eaten and I just feel so darn good!

Well, I've only been on Atkins for 4 days but here is what I love about it and I hope it doesn't change:

I am not feeling hungry ALL the time! I used search through the pantry & fridge constantly. Now, I fill up pretty fast on veggies, meats, eggs,etc. I have gone back to enjoying cooking. I am constantly looking for lo carb recipes to try out. I also have more energy & less mood swings.:p :Pinkbounc :p :bounce: :p :Pinkbounc
 
I love Slim-Fast because I don't have the guilts about what I eat for that one meal- my portion size or carbohydrate content doesn't affect me- with Atkins- if I had one bad day it'd be hard to get back with it- but with 3 young children afoot it's so helpful to have something quick that gives me energy without having to plan it out. It's easier to think about the one meal and how to make it healthy than three meals. I've opted more for spinach salads and fruits lately- or a turkey sandwich with whole wheat bread. But if I want a cheeseburger or a slice of pizza I don't sweat it. Hopefully I'll stick to it another month then try to add in two meals a day and just slimfast one meal and see how that helps- I tend to eat bigger portions at dinner so I've made always cut out that meal for a slimfast and it's working well.

Ultimately, eating smaller portions and fresher veggies is my goal for maintenance.

I don't have an "official plan" that I follow. What do I love about what I am doing?

1) I love making healthy choices (and not so healthy ones on those days) and watching the resulting graph at Fitday

2) I love taking my lunch and spreading it out over the day. I feel like I am eating all day long. Oh, wait. I AM!!!

3) I love the way I feel so tired after my Curves workout.

4) I love that I can actually walk 2 miles (in 31 minutes!) This summer will be a different trip than the 2001 one where everyone had to wait for me to catch up. (The knees don't hurt- I really love that!)

5) I love that I have managed-by grazing healthy and portion control- to earn that gold clippie. I have LOTS more to lose, but already I am a success.

6) I love that I can even THINK of walking the 2005 Marathon. Who'd a thunk it??
 
I love WW b/c like Tammy and Debbie said, nothing is off limits b/c then I just want it more!

I love whipping out my palm pilot and deciding what I'll order at a restaraunt b/c it's a good choice:smooth: that just looks so cool :)

I love finding recipes that are real food and have WW pts! I love my new WW cookbook, just need time to put it to use!
 
OH MOM--- just for the record i don't do WW. I just make better choices and cook my foods healthy now. Just did want to give WW credit for my hard work.LOL
 
What I love most about Atkins is that I am never hungry anymore!! There are days when I actually have to remember to tell myself to eat because I am not craving food like I used to!! :):) I also love it because I can eat like this for the rest of my life...It was a hard adjustment the first week or so, but I just love it now!! :):)
 
Ok How did I inspire this thread???? :confused: :confused: Anyway I like WW because I can incorporate any food and any occasion into the plan. It is flexable enough that I can really enjoy myself yet structured enough to work!!!
 
Through your daily inspriations thread...today was about having a positive attitude..and it got me thinking about all of the things I really like about Atkins...instead of the negitive stuff.
