In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

I think I"m down 4.4. :lmao: I can do simple math.

AWESOME! The loss that is. The math skills? eh - they're optional ;)

Sciatica DOES suck. I don't know why he wont carry me around all day either? Im pretty sure our wedding vows said 'To have and to hold, to carry when she can't walk'. :lmao:

:rotfl: Feel better Kelly!

Just checking in for quick second before I head to school drop off, packing, and driving.

Have a great weekend Liz!

I'm packing up as well. Heading to Vermont for the weekend to see Seth. SO excited! It was 80* and humid here yesterday - total shorts & t-shirt weather. Tomorrow in VT? 50*s :scared1: OY! Time to pull out some of that fleece I think!

I should be able to check in from the hotel...hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Paula - kick some butt on Sunday, k?

LISA! WOW! Goddess crown!

Liz--have fun! Really, let loose and let it all out, kwim? And OMG, you so totally owe me a phone call! :lmao:

Um, did someone say fleece????? :lmao::rotfl2:

Lisa - Awesome job on the loss this week. :worship::worship:

Liz - safe travels and have fun!!!

Nancy - safe travels and enjoy your time with Seth. Please pack the fleece. It is starting to get quite chilly at night up here and he is farther north than me. Thanks for the bike race props. I am looking forward to it and will post a full report Sunday night.

Had a rotten night last night. Jesse was in a foul mood, had to deal with a major bank screw up and had to bake for something here at work. On top of everything else, met a guy for coffee who turned out to be a right @ss and totally put me in a sour mood for the better part of the evening. The only good thing that happened last night was that I finally got my gray hairs covered when I had my hair cut and colored (and yes, I will post pictures this weekend so you can see - the color is a bit darker with some auburn in it. Not sure if I like it yet or not, but it usually takes me a day or two to embrace the new look).

Today is a new day so it will be better.

Make it a good one everyone!

Lisa, that is a totally awesome loss! :cool1:

Just checking in for quick second before I head to school drop off, packing, and driving. Kat, E, I will try to call you both. I know I so owe you at least 5 calls!

DO NOT TALK GREY'S! I didn't watch last night - too much laundry. I need to wash EVERYTHING to go away for two days. :lmao:

I'll try to keep up with the thread this weekend!

Have fun!!! :yay:

Lisa, YAY on the loss!!

I had too much laundry last night as well... I swear it multiplies when I am not looking.

So, I weighed this morning. O. M. G. I really, truly, and utterly suck. The number is so bad that I don't even want to repeat it. Let's just say I have a LONG way to go.

D and I have both committed to a better, healthier lifestyle. First day was yesterday... I am going to go back to tracking on sparkpeople, and am vaguely considering a different program, like WW or JC.

Sorry you had a downer of a night, Paula.

But listen, there is something I have been wanting to say for a week or so. You are on the verge of a major milestone. You've been dancing around it for a couple of weeks but not quite getting there.

It's ok to reach the milestone.

You deserve it. You've earned it. Let yourself succeed.

I know that week-ends are the hardest for most of us, so don't let the week-end own you, don't let a bad night like last night get to you....stay on program and keep doing what you have been doing.

I am, daily, so incredibly and impressed and inspired by you. Thank you for that.

Kat! Welcome back! And I mean that in more ways than one. :goodvibes I missed you.

Erika - thanks so much for writing what you did. You are spot on in so many ways that it is downright freaky. I talked to my JC consultant about many of these things this past week. I liked how she put it - I am .2 pounds away from this milestone and as she put it, you are so close to kissing it - you are puckered up and mere milimeters away from contact so you can't stop now.

Last night sucked, but food wise, I did all right. It was more aggrevating than anything else. It is over and done with. I have a bike race to conquer this weekend and I want to beat my time from my last one.

Thanks again - you are a true friend! :goodvibes

DO NOT TALK GREY'S!

Agreed! In fact, no-one is allowed to talk about it until it starts again over here! :lmao:

I agree with everything you said here Erika, you said it so much better than I ever could! Paula, you rock. And you ARE an inspiration.

Hey everyone...

In a bit of a better mood today. Kind of. Had a couple of good things happen so far so it is pulling me out of my funk a tad. Still really just want to go back to Florida and forget all the crap though lol.

Sooooo rather than be a downer and tell you all the sad stuff, I'll tell you the good stuff.

Found out this morning that one of my close friends got engaged last night. Super excited for her. They still have to discuss the wedding party but unless plans have changed from what she's always said....looks like I'll be a bridesmaid wearing sunflower yellow. Totally not my color, but then again, it's not my day lol. So unless they change the plans, (and they may if he can't find enough groomsmen, which will be ok with me, I'll be happy to make a wedding cake for a best friend :goodvibes) that gives me until March to become semi-decent for pictures. That means kicking up the weight loss to the next notch.

Speaking of which, my other item of good news. On Sept 8th, before I left for vacation, I had lost a total of 4.4 pounds....weighed myself today and down 7.1 total lbs. That means I lost 2.7 over vacation despite all the eating I did with free dining. Pretty dang excited about that one. Almost to ten pounds. Losing the weight has gone so much slower than I really ever wanted it to, but I feel a little proud that at least I am still sticking with it, even when I gain, and keep moving forward, even if it is in steps rather than miles.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Very well-said. I completely agree. :goodvibes

Kat! Welcome back! And I mean that in more ways than one. :goodvibes I missed you.

Thanks!! Here's to hoping I can stick to it this time...

Paula, thanks for the offer to help. I truly appreciate it!!

But, unfortunately, there is only one person that can help me in this, and that is me. Ultimately it is my choice to eat that <insert bad food here> and lay on the couch instead of exercising. I need to get back to a place where I care about my body and want to look and feel good more than I want the fleeting satisfaction of whatever it is I am putting in my mouth.

For right now, my plan is to get back to the basics. Cook and eat my own food, avoid going out. Get back into shape. Get decent sleep, and actually start caring about my job again now that we are out of the woods. Drink more water. Drink less alcohol.

And, I have to weigh. Weekly. I have to stop avoiding the scale because those nasty numbers are what I need to see in order to stay strong.

Thanks to everyone, and I really do appreciate this thread more than you know. Please forgive me for my summer absence. I promise to be more accountable and to actually come here daily and give and receive support.

Cathie - congrats on the loss! That is awesome. I know it can be frustratingly slow at times, but you didn't put the weight on overnight so it is reasonable to think that it won't come off overnight. Slow and steady wins this race.

Kat - I hear ya sista' You can do this. I know you can.

Kelly - thanks for the kind words. Still a bit strange to think that I am inspiring others. Feels a bit wonky to me, but that is my inability to accept compliments coming out more than anything else. Love you for saying what you did.

Off to the dreaded candy store to supplement what I baked last night (frosted brownies). Thankfully, I am passing all of this stuff off to others and don't have to eat any of it. I honestly don't want to eat it so that is a good thing. Now, put a loaf of crunch french bread in front of me right now and I'll rip your arm off to get at it. Gotta love those cravings sometimes...

Hi and a quick fly by!

Getting house ready for tonight and something happened that made me laugh and want to cry.

I bought 2 new fall decorations this year. A pair of tea light goblets from Yankee Candle. Stained glass looking with autumnal scenes.

One broke as Baylor was hauling Tupperware out of the kitchen, stacked too high and it tipped, one piece fell off the top and onto the ledge of the open "window" between the kitchen/living room where they sat. Fell on the floor and shattered.

Then, I moved the one left to the victrola I have, because alone - it looked odd on the ledge. A different Halloween decoration (black tree coming out of a pumkin head) also on the victrola, decided to stop being glued together and as the tree split from the base, it fell on the goblet and that one crashed. Dan was sitting on the table and just shook his head. What are the chances? My life...pretty good. :lmao:

Nancy - hope you are having an awesome time!
Paula - be good to yourself this weekend.
Lyz - love the bangs!
E - Halloween for the kids...why not go as a band like KISS? Your kids love music and it involves costumes. Just a thought.

Hey all. Not much to report. Wasted my day.

KAT!!! Now that your here, you'll be ON - cause that's how you roll - all or nothing.

Later.

Nancy & Liz - hope you both have awesome visits.

Liz & Nancy - hope you both have great trips!

Paula - sorry for your yucky day

Kat - welcome back

E - any more thoughts on costumes?

Amy - the 3rd shift days are almost over right?

Lisa - congrats on your loss!!

Lyz - staying away from the tweezers? Are you feeling better?

Hello to all I have forgotten!

I found out today that my reps get to dress me up as a clown. We are having an Operations Appreciation Week next month and it's a carnival theme. Yes, I will post pictures. :lmao:

STILL have to catch up. But since I've been up since before five - just don't have it in me.

Went to Joel's funeral today. Strange to think he is not here. Simply. Another recruitment session by the minister. And it's too bad I was thoroughly enjoying his eulogy prior to the ongoing "how he's going but you're not going and you know how to go" hint. We know. We know. We know. Someone died here could we get off that for uno memento. I"m a tad tired of that at funerals. Tad tired. Some sinners pointed out at a wedding - not going to heaven at funerals. And I simply don't care. That's got to be bad. ;) Just ignore me. :dance3: Crazy.

Kat. :surfweb: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I almost thought you moved to WDW. :lovestruc

Oh Lisa. You should have been at the funeral I was at on Wed night. Eulogy was very well done (D's brother) but the "message" from the preacher-man (said in the best/worst Southern accent that I can manage)... yeah. He started out with God made woman to serve man, and just went downhill from there. Oh yeah, and the woman whose funeral it was, was divorced. So appropriate.

Weddings = celebration/love. Funerals = grief/comfort in faith. Any other preacher-type message, save for Sunday service. Just my opinion.

And moving to WDW sounds great to me!!

So far, so good... have the detoxication headache, am again eyeing coworkers, cats, etc to judge how much sustenance I could get from them... but still managed to get through an NHL preseason game tonight (gift from BIL) with NO beer nor bad food. I swear they pipe cheesesteak smell INTO the arena, tho!! :headache:
