In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

Kat, I LOVE it when you eye up the coworkers. It's so funny and it's so you.

Checking in from MA! Having a great time.

Weight check in - I did weigh in yesterday and I am the same, which is a huge victory after birthday week and stress. Whee!:cool1:

5 miles done. And I sweated all of those toxins from last night out!

Oh, come on! Really? No one....all day? Step away from the....(booze)....(chocolate)...(pizza)...:lmao:

/
BTW, Dieting sucks. Or lifestyle change or whatever you want to call it. Just sayin'.

Liz, hope you are having fun!!

Raining, dreary here. Have tons more to do around the house and am procrastinating every. single. one. Couch and bad TV seems SO much better somehow...

Ugh, worked today. Yuck, don't have another Saturday until late October though.

Slap my mouth and call me Marcia Yockey, because I am now a weathergirl. Today's forecast calls for RAIN, tomorrow RAIN. The last six days of this week RAIN. This is getting so depressing.

FWIW, Marcia was a beloved weathergirl in Evansville. She was zany, wacky, and didn't give two squats about what anybody thought of her. I couldn't wait for Friday night, so that I could stay up to watch her.

I hope somebody on this thread has some sun going on. I really want to get another walk/run in this week.

Sciatica DOES suck. I don't know why he wont carry me around all day either? Im pretty sure our wedding vows said 'To have and to hold, to carry when she can't walk'. :lmao:

Did Grey's Anatomy start for you last night Lisa? We have AGES till it starts again here. Its going to take all my wills not to go on the website!

On the first. :lmao: Not at sciatica of course.

Second - yes, Am I allowed to say that I was bored.;);) Yes, I know that's a sh!tty thing to say. But just think Kelly - now it will have a chance in being better when you see it. Kelly, I just watched the finale again recently - I think that's it in a nutshell. That finale was like a friggin' movie. Did you say it? Did YOU say it? I love you and you have changed my life. Almost killed me. Almost killed me.

And let me tell you Owen - he turns my crank - not really his looks - just a je ne sais quoi. His acting is unfrigginbelievable. As is Sandra Oh.

The math skills? eh - they're optional ;)[/B]

Says Ms. Statistics degree.

Lisa - Awesome job on the loss this week. :worship::worship:

Liz - safe travels and have fun!!!

Nancy - safe travels and enjoy your time with Seth. Please pack the fleece. It is starting to get quite chilly at night up here and he is farther north than me. Thanks for the bike race props. I am looking forward to it and will post a full report Sunday night.

Had a rotten night last night. Jesse was in a foul mood, had to deal with a major bank screw up and had to bake for something here at work. On top of everything else, met a guy for coffee who turned out to be a right @ss and totally put me in a sour mood for the better part of the evening. The only good thing that happened last night was that I finally got my gray hairs covered when I had my hair cut and colored (and yes, I will post pictures this weekend so you can see - the color is a bit darker with some auburn in it. Not sure if I like it yet or not, but it usually takes me a day or two to embrace the new look).

Today is a new day so it will be better.

Make it a good one everyone!

Want to see pics. And I thought Jesse had to bake for work. :lmao::scared1: Obviously tired.

So, I weighed this morning. O. M. G. I really, truly, and utterly suck. The number is so bad that I don't even want to repeat it. Let's just say I have a LONG way to go.

D and I have both committed to a better, healthier lifestyle. First day was yesterday... I am going to go back to tracking on sparkpeople, and am vaguely considering a different program, like WW or JC.

Kat!!!! First of all there are quite a few of us that have had some shock of a gain lately. So you are not alone. You are not.

Second, I'm just going to say it. Cutie said you are all or nothing - why don't you try working on that. You love eating out Kat - I mean I get the feeling you love eating out. I hope you meant that you are limiting it just for now.

And once again I'll say it. All of us have different methods of getting "there" but it is possible not to be rigid - I have no idea how rigid you are planning - I'm just talking. I'm talking because I do remember you saying you wanted not to be. That's my point.

Of course I wish you nothing but :cheer2:

However, I would like to see you live the way you want to live forever.

Okay, shutting up now. So happy to have you back.

Sorry you had a downer of a night, Paula.

But listen, there is something I have been wanting to say for a week or so. You are on the verge of a major milestone. You've been dancing around it for a couple of weeks but not quite getting there.

It's ok to reach the milestone.

You deserve it. You've earned it. Let yourself succeed.

I know that week-ends are the hardest for most of us, so don't let the week-end own you, don't let a bad night like last night get to you....stay on program and keep doing what you have been doing.

I am, daily, so incredibly and impressed and inspired by you. Thank you for that.

Loved this. :lovestruc

Hey everyone...

In a bit of a better mood today. Kind of. Had a couple of good things happen so far so it is pulling me out of my funk a tad. Still really just want to go back to Florida and forget all the crap though lol.

Sooooo rather than be a downer and tell you all the sad stuff, I'll tell you the good stuff.

Found out this morning that one of my close friends got engaged last night. Super excited for her. They still have to discuss the wedding party but unless plans have changed from what she's always said....looks like I'll be a bridesmaid wearing sunflower yellow. Totally not my color, but then again, it's not my day lol. So unless they change the plans, (and they may if he can't find enough groomsmen, which will be ok with me, I'll be happy to make a wedding cake for a best friend :goodvibes) that gives me until March to become semi-decent for pictures. That means kicking up the weight loss to the next notch.

Speaking of which, my other item of good news. On Sept 8th, before I left for vacation, I had lost a total of 4.4 pounds....weighed myself today and down 7.1 total lbs. That means I lost 2.7 over vacation despite all the eating I did with free dining. Pretty dang excited about that one. Almost to ten pounds. Losing the weight has gone so much slower than I really ever wanted it to, but I feel a little proud that at least I am still sticking with it, even when I gain, and keep moving forward, even if it is in steps rather than miles.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Good for you Cathie.

Oh Lisa. You should have been at the funeral I was at on Wed night. Eulogy was very well done (D's brother) but the "message" from the preacher-man (said in the best/worst Southern accent that I can manage)... yeah. He started out with God made woman to serve man, and just went downhill from there. Oh yeah, and the woman whose funeral it was, was divorced. So appropriate.

Weddings = celebration/love. Funerals = grief/comfort in faith. Any other preacher-type message, save for Sunday service. Just my opinion.

And moving to WDW sounds great to me!!

So far, so good... have the detoxication headache, am again eyeing coworkers, cats, etc to judge how much sustenance I could get from them... but still managed to get through an NHL preseason game tonight (gift from BIL) with NO beer nor bad food. I swear they pipe cheesesteak smell INTO the arena, tho!! :headache:

:lmao::rotfl::lmao: on eyeing your food source.

And  on funeral.

Kat, I LOVE it when you eye up the coworkers. It's so funny and it's so you.

Good for you Liz. Good for you in so many ways. I'm forever saying on BL - for crying outloud maintaining is success.

Great to hear you're having fun.

Bopping around Norwood, MA, with my friend Courtney!

Hi Courtney!

It was cloudy today but we just finished days and days and days of sun and seventies. Something like 21 days straight. Seventies are gone - well maybe tomorrow. But boy one felt so blessed with so much sun. I adore Vancouver Amiee but I'm afraid the winters would kill me. No snow. Just constant rain.

Here's to some :goodvibes coming your way soon. :wizard:

Taryn!!! Hope I remembered your name correctly and just didn't make it up!!!:lmao: A big welcome to you.

Hi gang...

Glad to come back from spending the entire day in a board meeting to see some funny posts.

Kat - step away from the cats and the co-workers... breathe - it will be ok

Lisa - Jesse baking - that is freaking hysterical. The boy steams turkey burgers and lives off of them.

Nancy - hope the weekend with Seth is going well

Liz - glad you are having fun in MA

Erika - yeah on the run

I am packing my bag for tomorrow's bike race. Ten miles - in the rain... So not looking forward to that, but what can you do. I am packing my rain coat and all the non cotton gear I can find, but who knows what is going to happen. Wish me luck...

Family jam night! The kids rocked it hard. I laughed. Riley is getting so good on drums--unbelievable. His goal is to be a Jammitor at Epcot. Come to think of it, that is Jeff's goal, too! :lmao: Have I mentioned that the Jammitors know my family by name now? SO funny!

PAULA--you are the real reason I am chiming in tonight. Race vibes headed your way! Sorry for the rain--we are scheduled to get it as well tomorrow. Race hard and race for fun! I will be thinking of you and can't wait for the race report!

BTW, Dieting sucks. Or lifestyle change or whatever you want to call it. Just sayin'.

WORD!!!!! (That's why I scoff at it. Just sayin'.)

Says Ms. Statistics degree.

Lisa! That is EXACTLY what I thought!!!

G'Luck tomorrow Paula!!! Will be thinking of you. Text us when you're done!

I'm not sure I've seen the Jammitors!:scared1:

I slept in, cleaned house. Currently reading a book. A real live bound paper book - so I wasn't being held hostage by chocolate today, although I can fully appreciate why you'd think that.

Lisa, I do hear you. But, not being as rigid, has resulted in a 25 lb gain in the last 6 mos. So, obviously that one didn't work!!

I need to get into my head that the way I need to live forever, if I want to be a reasonable weight, is not the one I have been living.

I do like to eat out, but I also love to cook, so I need to focus on that more. Eating out needs to be a treat, not a habit (for financial AND healthy reasons).

Paula, good luck!!

I think I might be back to posting food for a while, if that's ok?

Brunch: Veggie omelette made w/ egg beaters (100), fiber one/bisquick heart smart blueberry pancakes (155), and potato/zucchini/onion hash (100)
Snack: Popcorn (200)
Dinner: Stuffed pork chop with homeade stuffing (whitewheat bread, turkey stuffing, onions, celery, mushrooms, minced garlic, and seasonings), roasted with potatoes, onions, carrots, and mushrooms, served with steamed broccoli (total: 400)
Snack: 20 raspberries (20) with sugar free dark chocolate mousse cup (60)

Total, ~1050. And TONS of food.

Btw, did I mention Jello has a new line of sugar free chocolate mousse? SOOO good.

Kat--yes, post your food! I agree, you always do SO well when you are posting your food daily.

Lyz--the Jammitors are awesome! Homework: next time you are in Epcot--they are a must. Mkay?

EE and Dawn--thanks for the Halloween suggestions. The kids are still too young to appreciate both Twilight and KISS, so those are out. That is the problem....too old for Disney and too young for other stuff. But PLEASE, keep the ideas coming! I am starting to stress!

As for me being Mrs. Incredible...it isn't her thighs I worry about. It's the belly at the moment. If I can take off 10 pounds between now and Halloween (5 weeks, so it is doable for a normal person. But we all know that I live in Plateauville), then I would definitely consider it.

Night!

Oh no, you were bored whilst watching it?! Im not even sure when it starts again over here, Autumn I think (which over here could mean anything from August-October! :rotfl:)

I watched the finale again - it still gets me every time! The miming 007 on Mer's hand and her screaming, lump in my throat and tears streaming!

I agree with Owen and Sandra Oh's acting - awesome. And I love them as a couple! He does have a certain something about him thats for sure!

I think I might be back to posting food for a while, if that's ok?

I like it when you post your food, it always gives me ideas what I want to eat! I just hope that we don't see your co-workers names on there for lunch.....:rotfl:

Well I have cleaned the house from top to bottom whilst wearing my 'Fit-Flops'! My legs ache now :rotfl:

Have a great day everyone! :upsidedow
