In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

Well. *THAT* didn't take long. Very, very quiet around here. Everyone must be as crazed with life as I am these days.

Liz & Erika - :grouphug: Hope all is going well with your families.

Becca had her chorus concert tonight. It was really fabulous! We've definitely paid our dues with all those years of cute and, at times painful, concerts over the years. It's nice to be rewarded with such a wonderful performance.:goodvibes

And I had a *lovely* session with Erin this morning. The gal I was working out with is not doing this session, so it's just me and the fiesty Irish Southie  OMG. I haven't sweat or swore so much in for.ever. She's so very excited that I'm now training for the 1/2 marathon. She's got "plans" for me. yay? :scared:

Loved reading about Becca's voice Nancy. So envious. I wish I could sing. I figure one would never ever have to go to therapy if you could sing. Just sing it all out. ;)

Down 2.3 for the BL. Last weigh in of this round. Down 15-16 for the BL round since September. Slow near the end but very pleased. And only 5-6 up from my red trench low. :lmao:;) Like I said when I gained - I will never take any loss for granted again. I was so into "oh I'm not there yet" but no more. :lovestruc Every success needs to be held and rocked like a baby.;)

LIZ - So glad your mum is out, hope you are all doing well

ERIKA - So sorry to hear Kelly is in the hospital, hope you are all doing ok

EVERYONE - Hi :flower3:

Someone posted earlier that they are just trying to keep their head above the water - thats me too!. Im full of blah at the minute and don't want to drag you all into my funk, which is really just a load of meaningless ____ and in the grand scheme of things isn't a blip on the radar but its just making me ARGH!

Rant over! :rotfl2:

Hope everyone has a great day :upsidedow

That was a rant? :lmao::goodvibes Oh my dearest Kelly!:lovestruc

I've caught up now and saw the funeral Kelly.

I woke up at four, five, six, seven. Fa la la - la la. Sleeping on bubble foam and sleeping bag over concrete - I'm too old for these have no money sleeps. :3dglasses But it's New York. Can't complain. Well Long Island right now;) - but off to the city!!!!

 to all.

Liz - love to you. So happy to have popped on and seen you there.

Lisa- :woohoo: on the loss! Have fun in NYC!

Kelly - How 'bout that queen? Riding the rails with the common folk!

saw on the news that some parts of Florida got 14" of rain last night/yesterday:eek: Hope Lyz is having good weather!

gym, work, kids, shop....lots to do today!

/
Lisa - Give me dates, girlfriend, and I will come meet you. That's easy peasy for me. I sent you an email! And YES on the loss. Every tiny stinking bit counts.

E - good to talk to you for five seconds yesterday. :goodvibes

Nancy - That was a great way to describe Becca's concert. What's she going to study in college? Does she have any ideas yet?

Liz, glad mom is out of the hospital! Hope she is doing well.

E, so sorry to hear about Kelly.

Kelly, I am so with you on the blah funk. No real reason, just winter.

Hi everyone and thanks for your kind words and thoughts. Kel is better today. I got about 5.5 hours of uninterrupted sleep, so I feel much better too! Today should be a much quieter day. Just waiting on test results, etc. Hopefully no more poking and prodding for Kel--she is d.o.n.e.

Nancy--thank God there's hope! :lmao: Going to the kids' concerts is still in the "brutal" stage for the most part. Riley's are enjoyable now, but the rest...yeesh. :rotfl2: Good to know that Erin is beating the sh*t out of you. :thumbsup2 I was thinking about you and Becca yesterday because Riley needs a shirt for his upcoming concert. But get this...since he is behind the drum set, he gets to wear all black (instead of the black pants, white shirt). So he feels totally badass. :lmao: But OMG, try finding a pure black button down shirt in a young kid size! Just not happening.

Liz--I know! Please let's find time for a real chat soon!

Lyz
--safe travels home! Miss you!

Lisa--NYC! I hope you are loving it. Love the city at Christmas! Thanks for your thoughts about Kelly. You really have to meet her some day. You would get such a kick out of her! And AWESOME job on BL!!!

Kelly--hope you can get your mojo back! So are there any uniquely British Christmas traditions?

Agh. Working on annual reviews. Its very tough this year because we have no stats for performance. Having to be creative.

EE, have fun. We don't do those, yet. Likely on my task list for next year though.

I spent my morning arguing, successfully, for vacation time for one of my employees. He wants to take the last two weeks of the year and some of the folks on another team wanted him to come in next week (even though at least one of them is taking the two weeks).

And, now it is snowing. Bleah.

I'm a badass when necessary. The ones who are in trouble for attendance and quality are going to have tough reviews, but most of mine fall in the middle. So far, it looks like two of my reps are getting promos on top of merit increases. Yay! Collections isn't for everybody so I tke that into consideration. We have a good little team that should be expanding by 10 after March.

Don't you love giving good employees the time off that they prefer, Kat?

I do, yes. I gave the 4 that report to me a little trinket box of chocolates from Trader Joe's too. I am not that great of a boss, I don't think, so I have to make it up somehow!! :)

So, I stopped at Kohl's on the way home because I had $20 in Kohl's cash from the pre-trip purchases... scored these for $12.90 total: http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/lan...roft+and+Barrow+Lenore+Tall+Stretch+Boots.jsp.

I still don't have a Christmas list from BIL and family. Sigh. FB messaged with my SIL (my brother's wife) and agreed to not exchange except I will get some token stuff for their little ones. So all I need now is BIL/SIL (D's brother), 6 and 11 yr old nieces, that I see maybe twice a year, with no direction whatsoever as to what they want...

Kat--for the 6 year old niece, there are lots of options. That is a super easy age and they pretty much like anything. There are lots of cute craft kits if she is the type of kid who like to sit and do a project. Or I can give you a whole list of ideas. For the 11 year old, an iTunes gift card. Yes, really.

Taylor loves those crafty things and iTunes is great for the 11 year old. My reviews are finished and I am heading home. We might go to Santa Claus, IN tonight.

Good evening from Santa Claus, IN! Just what my family needed to get in the spirit. Tomorrow is a spur of the moment trip to Nashville.

Ugh. It was horrid. After I had warmed up on the elliptical the "circuit" party got started. For the introductory round I did 30 seconds of each of the following exercises, with 10 seconds rest in between.

I am exhausted just reading that!!! I so need to keep Erin away from Jesse...

Down 2.3 for the BL.
Go Lisa!!!! Whoo hoo on the loss...

Had to work late tonight. Ugh, so tired now. Jesse kicks my butt tomorrow morning and then it is Christmas prep overdrive for the weekend. Cards, shopping, wrapping, everything needs to get done this weekend since next week is crazy at work. One bright spot, I finally got the folks in the building to see things my way. To quote Erika, I was badass in a meeting this morning.:cool2:

E - glad to hear that Kelly is feeling a bit better

Amiee - have fun tonight.

Lisa - I would love to come down to see you, but have a training session that day so I am stuck at work. Have fun with Liz though.

Kelly - I hear you on the funk. Talk here - it does help.

Off to fall asleep. Talk to you all tomorrow.

Nancy - That was a great way to describe Becca's concert. What's she going to study in college? Does she have any ideas yet?

Well, she has a bit of time to figure things out - she's just a freshman this year. But last time we were in NYC she proclaimed that her life's ambition was to be an orange safety cone in Times Square. So....

But really - she loves music. So, we'll see where it leads her. OH...and (drum roll please....) she has scored herself a MAJOR part in Anything Goes as Hope :dance3:

I'm a badass when necessary.

:lmao: What a fabulous tag that would make:lmao: Or the title for our next volume....

LOVE Nashville. Have fun!

Snow headed our way tomorrow. And I have shopping to do. I'm doomed. :sad2:
