Fun!

Ah. Look at his little face.

I can't wait to get them out of the box and hold them. I suppose I'll have to let Maddi go first. Darn kid.

Okay. I want one now. Does that make me 6?
.
Hopefully - in spirit.

Absolutely.

Thanks for the site E. Omg the zhu's have arrived! I will have to log in to see the pics. They wouldn't download on my phone. At the basketball game with my son. Tip off in a few and he is so excited.
Good game Amiee?
'My post to Cathie just made me think of something that I just naturally do all the time now and I thought I would share. I so often hear people say "But I don't have TIME to workout..." Bullsh*t. Nancy and I are two of the busiest people I know and we both put in some of the longest hours for fitness. Everyone has TIME to do it, you just need to make it a priority.
BUT I realize that it is tough to get in that mind set, so I have lots of tips. There is a lot of down time in a day. For example, I often have to wait at the bus stop for 10-15 minutes in the afternoon (since the bus is never consistent). Sure, I could just stand there (or sit in the car since we have to drive to our bus stop) doing nothing. But that is such a waste. Instead, I use this time to do my squats and lunges. For people who have kids in sports-- When the kids have a game, they usually have to be at the field 30-45 minutes before the game for warm-ups. Most of the moms just sit their in their chairs and chat. I use the time to go for a run. That way I am killing two birds with one stone. When I take Cammie to her piano lesson, I just have to sit there for 30 minutes and wait. Again, I will do a short bonus run or just go for a walk to add some extra miles into my day. On a conference call? I sit on the exercise ball and do some sort of core or leg work. Because why just sit there for an hour? And any time I am walking from one place to another (the parking lot into the mall, for example) I walk FAST. I don't stroll.
Also, I always have a stocked gym bag in my car. Full set of workout clothes, water bottle, sneakers, and socks. That way if I get stuck somewhere, I can at least do *something* instead of wasting that time and then saying "But I didn't have time to work out today because X happened."
On the bold - well I'm not as busy - no kids - but it's just a choice. As simple as that.
I've got the upper hand in that for me my priority is mental health. And I need - absolutely need - to work out for that. So can't give in to "no". Easier than doing it for other reasons.
