In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

Nancy - Worse. She is asking Santa for a puppy. Actually, several Golden puppies, just like the Air Buddies!

Egads. I told her not yet.

Her homework tonight was to write a letter to Santa. Instead of puppies, which she asked for, she is getting a Vera Bradley, an easel, a butterfly garden, and doll house people and furniture. Poor deprived petless child! Not even a fake hamster!

Dawn - GREAT news! Now you have an awesome reason to eat clean! Where is Lisa PR when we need her???

Oh Nancy! You're out at the concert and Jean Claude is sniffing around for some of your yummy goodies!

Yes Jean Claude has now entered the beautiful state of Connecticut.

Actually, WILLINGTON, CT.

He's getting close Erika - just needed a cat :eek:nap. :lmao:

I think you can all say I've now officially lost it. :3dglasses I've spent days :lmao: tracking electronic rodents with names. :lmao: I feel like I've entered Girl Interrupted and there's no escape.

I'm loving the play by play on the shipping info Lisa! Love it!

Liz - I think Emily has a wonderful list.

Nancy - Yay for Nate! How are your nerves?

Ok I found out that edit is hard. Does anybody know of any free disney ringtone sites?

Yup. www.myxer.com Then click on ringtones. Then in the search box type Disney. You will get hundreds. SOME of them you pay for, but there are TONS of free ones. Right now, I have the following:

--Soarin'
--Epcot Entrance Music (both of these are default ring tones)
--it's a small world is Jeff's ring tone (you know, cause of the last name and all. And our lake house is named small world and it's our license plates, etc.)
--That's My Dad (from Nemo, the musical, is what I use for my dad)
--The monorail "please stand clear of the doors"
--Celebrate You (which is what is being played all through the parks and resorts right now)
--One Little Spark (cause you know I love my Figment!)
--Pixie Dust
--Space Mountain Tunnel Entrance music
--Theme from Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade from AK
--Wishes music
--Illuminations music
--Go with the Flow (also from Nemo, the musical, at AK)

It is time for me to add some new ones, though. Tell me what you find and like! I use some of the ones put up by the following user names: DisneyFreak and DisneyDudet. They are free and music from the parks (as opposed to ring tones from High School Musical, kwim?)

And in case anyone was wondering, yes, you can get Twilight ringtones from that site for free as well. :goodvibes

Jean Claude has officially left Syracuse - destination unknown. And he has told the driver that he has no interest in Schnectady - so no detours. ;)

Onward.

Jean Claude - I am hurt that you didn't want to visit Schenectady. That is my hometown. You could have met the family as well as the elusive Jesse had you just stopped by. Oh well - your loss....:rotfl:

Dawn - get thee to an allergist!!!! You need to find out what is causing the trouble. It could be lactose, it could be eggs or it could be soy. My friend's son was recently diagnosed as lactose intolerant and switched to soy based foods and it got worse. Turns out there is a large percentage of lactose intolerant people are also soy intolerant. Go for the tests instead of trial and error. Your body will thank you.

Nancy - have fun at the concert...

Lyz - how is flat stanley doing?

Hi gang - much of the same going on here. Work, dinner, workout, home, crash. Fun life huh?

So question for you all... my gym has completely tweaked the pricing for my training sessions and I have to change what I have been doing to fit it into my budget. I was doing an hour session three times a week. So now, my options are this - 2 hour sessions per week or 4 half hour sessions per week (I would be doing my warmup on my own so the 30 minutes would be at full working mode). Jesse tells me that the metabolism boosts of the 4 sessions would be good for me. If I drop down to two sessions than I would need to do one session on my own which may also be a good thing. I am confused so - Thoughts?

Starting to feel a bit more in control which is a good thing...

So, the article about my award at the university came out. This is the "People's Choice" type of Award. One of the ways it was measured was by using a rating website (along with yearly student evaluations). Here is an excerpt:

Anderson, a behavioral science professor in the Communication Department received the highest overall rating with a score of 4.6 while Donald Sytsma, professor of psychology, received the lowest with an overall rating of 1.6 in a comparison of professors who received more than 50 votes. Anderson was also rated as the ‘hottest’ professor. Anderson said she doesn’t check the website regularly and was unaware of her own existence on the site until a student told her about it. Sytsma did not respond to a request for comment.

Anderson says her ratings on RateMyProfessor are congruent with the positive student teacher evaluations that she receives at the end of each semester. The reason for these types responses? Anderson said she feels it is attributed to her attempt to have a “positive learning environment, fairness and open-mindedness in the classroom, and remaining student-centered.” The comments on RateMyProfessor.com seem to reflect this, with one student writing that Anderson is “extremely understanding and approachable.”

OMG, Kelly was talking in her sleep and actually said Zhu Zhu! Thank GOD she is getting one!Go

E - awesome recognition. Simply wonderful.:cool1:

I did see an allergy specialist today. They said no dairy for 3 weeks and then come back from Disney for more testing. Trial and error like Kat said. Great info on the soy connection to ask about next visit. What makes me angry is a lot of these issues I have been having for years and they the first thing they look at is bladder/kidney infection and if I have one (which is often) they don't look past that. Or they tend to throw meds at you for pain or symptoms versus looking at cause. The symptoms have gotten way worse in the past year - nothing ever like Thursday night - but again - I am given Gas X type meds and all it was doing was getting me sicker and sicker. I have never been a alternative medicine type of person but my thoughts are changing because if someone had bothered to look at my intake as a culprit amongst the years of crud - this would have been thought about before. I was just not raised with a mentality of whole body medicine and if you were not in a lab coat - what did you know. Relieved to have someone listen and care enough to want to change something not fix it.

***Had Christmas Burn Party tonight - 183 people were there and tons of firefighters and survivors and family members. Very emotional - and very lucky to have such an amazing facility. People were there from the 5 state area and even a woman from Ireland came who was treated here. Baylor is so lucky it was not worse. There was a boy there who was 16 and burned this summer in the same way Baylor was. Except his friend used Racing gas which has a higher octane level - so hotter burn and spreads quicker. Baylor has a 30% burn - this kid was 80%. He spoke and I tell ya - he is more corageous than most adults I have ever met and his attitude could teach the world to be a better and more grateful place.

Hope you all have a great night.

...

No way Paula. :lmao::rotfl::lmao: I'm so confused. I thought you were in Troy? Or you're in Troy now? My sincere bowing down in apologies. You know how I even know Schenectady? Or can spell it? ;) My father. His team used to go every year. And it was such a childhood flow - like a rhyme.

Curling. Or so they claimed.;)

I've never been.

YES to the famly for sure. And of course yes to see the elusive Jesse - I so want a glimpse.

Paula at first I was just with Jesse 100 per cent. Easy choice. I'm sure he/you would be so focused in the half hour. And you already know so much anyway.

But then on the other hand - and I'm just assuming here - Jesse is not for life so the hour on your own might be great.

But in the end - Personally, I would go with the four half hours for a time frame. For sure. It seems like the best to me.

It's after midnight. Could you even follow that? :lmao:

Is this article from the student paper? Curious.

Two things. One poor Doctor Systsma. :sad2:

Two - you know what I love about all this. You. That you posted it to us. Sighing. I so lack confidence. I know quite selfish - I just made your award about me. ;)

Congratulations Erika! :cheer2: So wonderful. So incredibly wonderful and HOT. :lmao::3dglasses

Better than the actual award is that all your focus on how you want students to learn is being felt by them.

OMG, Kelly was talking in her sleep and actually said Zhu Zhu! Thank GOD she is getting one!Go

OMG. :rotfl::lmao::rotfl: OMG. Maybe she's psychic and senses his arrival - that he is close. Too flippin' funny and cute. Sighing. Your children make me sigh. :surfweb:

Thanks, Lisa. But it wasn't confidence that made me post it. I said I would, so I did. I guess I don't even think about stuff like that.

Good Morning!

Liz/EE - Nice to see you both! :flower3:

Dawn - I agree, go get tested!

Erika - Congratulations on your award and the article! Do you get an actual trophy or award? Very cool, congratulations! :cheer2:

I am ON today where water is concerned! Glugging it down like theres no tomorrow. Only downside is that is cold here today, combine that with the water and im running upstairs to the bathroom at work every two minutes! :rotfl:

Have a great day everyone! :upsidedow

Good morning! Yes, it is an UNHOLY hour. But I am up and going! Think ON thoughts!

Thanks, Kelly! I think I get a plaque or something like that. The professor who gets the "other" award gets research money and a stipend and a wine and cheese reception. And Lisa, yes, it was an article in the student paper.

AND!!! Jean Claude should arrive today! :cool1: I am so excited! Hopefully I will have pics for you!

Exhausted. 3 teenage girls, 5 bands....makes for one late night for me. Uncle Kracker, Five for Fighting, Aaron Lewis (Staind), Train, and Shine Down. We didn't get in until after 1:00 and it's up and out for everyone today. I'm far too old for this :rotfl2:

Dawn - get thee to an allergist!!!! You need to find out what is causing the trouble. It could be lactose, it could be eggs or it could be soy.

Yep. My niece was thought to be lactose intolerant. Indeed she is not. Turns out she's allergic to eggs.

Either way you are getting a bit more "independent" time, yes? That's kind of a tricky choice - but I'm thinking that with your current funk (which I hate to call it a funk, because I'm not exactly sure that's the right word....) a change in routine could be just what the Dr. ordered.

Anderson, a behavioral science professor in the Communication Department received the highest overall rating with a score of 4.6 while Donald Sytsma, professor of psychology, received the lowest with an overall rating of 1.6 in a comparison of professors who received more than 50 votes.

Nice for you I suppose, but way to make him fell like a complete @ss. :scared1:

Anderson was also rated as the ‘hottest’ professor.

Of course she is. Haven't you seen her on the jumbotron in her workout gear?;)

The comments on RateMyProfessor.com seem to reflect this, with one student writing that Anderson is “extremely understanding and approachable.”

Very nice. Congrats on the award.:flower3:

Time to get my tired self to the gym. Then I get to leave work a bit early - getting my hair cut & colored...then another concert tonight. Completely different type of event all together. It'll be fun. (ha. Feeling a bit Liz-ish right now) :goodvibes

Nancy--you are SO Liz! :lmao: Wow, never heard of ANY of those bands. But then again, I'm old.

And I know! I mean, honestly, I teach in track pants most of the time!

Thanks, Lisa. But it wasn't confidence that made me post it. I said I would, so I did. I guess I don't even think about stuff like that.

Of course it wasn't. Of course you don't ever think about stuff like that Erika - exactly my point. Why would you? It's me. It just happened to be a moment that I saw something clearly in myself for whatever reason - and without any deep thought either.

AND!!! Jean Claude should arrive today! :cool1: I am so excited! Hopefully I will have pics for you!

Saco, Maine. And loaded on delivery truck at that. His arrival is imminent. Yeah!

That's exactly what I was thinking Nancy. I think it's a good thing for sure. Paula you've been a superstar and its a long haul. Shakeups are good - I know you know this Paula - I'm merely rambling!!

Very nice. Congrats on the award.:flower3:

Ummm. Pictures please and thank you. Of the hair I mean. I know that I don't have a chance in he!! of you posting some. Do know I know that. Laughing.

What kind of concert?
