Kat - I love the fact that I am not the only one who uses money as an incentive to go to the gym.... Thanks for validating that one for me...
I started to exercise because without it, I would not lose the weight I need to lose. I hired a trainer because of the accountibility factor. He gets paid whether I am there or not so I am going to get my money's worth thank you. Plus, he will nag me if I don't show.
I exercise now because it feels good and I love the comments that I get from people who haven't seen me in a while. The compliments and stunned looks of disbelief are truly as addictive as drugs I think. I love how that makes me feel and exercise will keep me there.
And for our newbies, exercise for me is cardio twice a week (usually biking, but soon to be walking / wogging) and weight training three days a week.
My name is Paula and I am a gym rat...
