In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

Happy St. Pats everyone!! :shamrock:

I have to say that the lack of posting is great for me. I can actually keep up!!

Names: My FIL is David Israel, my DH is David Michael, and my son is David Isaac. The company is DMO which are Mike's initials JIC we did not have a son but really stands for David and Michael. DHs parents always called him Mike to help with the confusion when he was younger and he does not answer to David at all. FIL is now Bumpa and hardly ever called by his name and my son is David. We copied on purpose.

Now Shelby is just named after Carrol Shelby or the Shelby Cobra whichever you prefer. She prefers the Cobra of course!!! She had to do a paper on where her name came from last year. I told her some people just had to write a few boring paragraphs, at least hers was interesting!!!

And yes I am Irish and I also bleed Mustang from my veins.....:upsidedow

Challenge: I think I am going for my last 3 pounds and 30 foot miles a week until April 25. Then my goal is just to complete the full in 4:59.13 which is the average time for women in the US. It sounds reasonable...no....:confused3 I will also do my BF calculation at that time and see where I am. Right now, 26% is acceptable as 25% is average but I would truly like to be down around 22%. When I was bodybuilding, I was 12% :scared1: and that seems like it was eons ago!

Paula: Super WOW!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: You are a superstar girl, celebrate out loud!!!!

Kat, I hope you find a way to do summer hockey. You seem to enjoy it so much. David's hockey ended last week and he is definitely mourning the loss. We are having to find open skate times so he can work on his stops and backward skating.

Nancy, I love babies. They are just the cutest things. Of course, we have cows and then they grow into giant lunkheads that get out in the green fields and seriously do not want to go back....but babies are so cute!!! :cloud9:

Erika, I hope you got some quality sleep last night! I was up Monday a.m. at 2 when Mike left, 3 when David woke up and then 4 when my alarm went off. I have serious dislike for losing REM sleep!! I hope you caught up.

AFM, today is girls to the gym day. I will miss Thursday due to a bleeping staff meeting but another mom is taking them. That leaves them unmonitored. to say the least. I am hoping I still have a membership on Friday. I also have 4 miles with hill sprints. Only 4 of them. I keep telling myself that. I biked yesterday but only 8.47 miles. I have not been on my bike in quite some time and I forgot about the seat!! I am more sore today than I was after 14 miles...:sad2: You definitely have to ease into the bike again. It did feel good to stretch my legs in a different way. Tomorrow is 8 miles and my day off with errands to run. Tight squeeze but I will fit it in somehow. It is also supposed to start raining in the afternoon/evening. We are due for snow showers on Thursday morning. Will this madness never end...:daisy:

So can we talk about Disney again?????

Ok wow thats it for POST!LOL

So Lisa great story about the name shelby. I think if my son would here that he would fall totally in love with her! He is a mustang man and he is only 8. They usually have to wipe them down after he comes with me to the dealership.

Lyz... jefferson county around you? I'm watching the paranormal state and they are in jefferson county Ohio. I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to watching this at night so I dvr it and then watch it in the daylight!
Ok off to weigh myself and then fold laundry and sweep the floors AGAIN!

Liz. It's the High Holy Day. Should I light a candle? :rotfl2:

Busy day. Caught up on some sleep, but not enough. The sap is running, so I am off to go tap some trees and make maple syrup.

Is there anything that you can't do ! I stand in awe of you!

speaking of maple syrup last night while driving home they were boiling at the sugar house down the street and boy did it smell good.

Only if it's a Jameson's candle. ;)

I'm not tracking today. I'll eat sensibly during the day and then enjoy my food tonight. Tomorrow, back on. New week, new points.

I did go to the gym 5 days in a row this week! I'm very impressed with myself.

So, my challenge goals:

Lose weight
Exercise 4-5 x a week
Track 6/7 days
Feel my emotions

There you go.

My mom is really sick, with a very bad cold and the antibiotics aren't working - on them since Friday and not getting better. So that's worrisome. Not life or death, but it sucks and makes the CANCER thing bigger in our heads. Frankly, we try to ignore it I think, and that's not working for me anymore.

Today, though, is a great day! One of the best days of the year! St.Patrick's Day! Off to paint my nails green and I'm going to take Emily and get her - not me - a tiny shamrock shake. I remember how cool it was to get those even if I didn't eat them. Just to have special food. She won't come close to finishing it either, but maybe two sips of a milkshake isn't horrible, right? Like, if I enjoyed all special food in moderation I wouldn't be here. I'd be on the naturally skinny thread. So today I'm going to teach her to celebrate and not make it about finishing the food off. Because it's not deprivation.
It's enjoyment. Green food and then we toss it and move on.

Happy St. Patty's Day!!!

Liz ~ sorry to hear about your Mom.

LisaPR ~ so cool to be named after a car!

Stephanie ~ I hate folding laundry, hate it, hate it

E ~ What??? Only a vampire would have enough time to learn the stuff you know.

Everybody else ~ :wave2:

Gotta go, battery is down to 15 mins now.

Hi gang or should I say Top of the Mornin to you

HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY!!!!

Well, I am sitting here helping my mom get all of the corned beef into the crock pots, the irish soda bread has been baked and I won't be home to enjoy any of it. That is just plain wrong!!!! Oh well, work calls so you have to go right.

Thanks for all of the kudos. I still can't believe I hit my milestone, but I did it. Now it is on to the next fifty right? Had my training session this morning since I won't be here tonight and all went well. We hit the weights pretty hard today so that was fun.

LisaPR - I love the shelby mustang story. That is awesome. People have been named for far less than that so I say go with it.

Liz - have a shot of Jamieson's for me will you????

Gotta run, need to shower and get ready to leave and since they expect me to dress like a grown up business woman today, it is going to take me a little longer.

Have a great day everyone,
Paula

:rotfl: Of course you are!!! (Hi lar ious!)

Liz - xxoo

We don't have any special food or drinks at all today. I know, some of you are picking your teeth off the ground, but, I don't know. Never did anything other than wearing green so you don't get pinched. Oh, I guess a shamrock shake - but I'd get that anytime it was available.

Lyz ~ we don't do anything special here either... hoping that the hospital will have corn beef and cabbage tonight..... but who knows they may have spaghetti! You can NEVER tell with them.

MMMmmm..... Tyler had me buy a pineapple the other day and it has just been sitting on the counter. So I just chopped it up into slices and put them into baggies so they are easy for the kids to handle and for I know what zac is eating! I even weighed it all so each bag has a 5.50 ounces. That 20 grams of carbohydrates! :rotfl2:
Ok off to shower cuz I am not liking the smell of the tanning lotion and sweat from raking! Yes thats right I raked the yard well a portion of it today! Then to work!

Oh, no awe required. It is not like I do this ON MY OWN. :lmao: We do it as a school. With the kids. For weeks and weeks. It is very cool, though. And yummy. And yes, the sugar house smells SO good. I could live in there.

Only if it's a Jameson's candle. ;)

Sorry about your mom! It sucks all around. And the Naturally Skinny thread. HI LAR IOUS!

We don't do anything special either. I am not Irish, so I didn't grow up with any traditions. Jeff and the kids are all Irish, though, so I try to do something. Like I put food coloring in the milk to make it green...and they love having the green milk on their cereal in the morning. But obviously, we don't eat corned beef anyway, so it will just be regular food for us tonight.

I was helping in Cam's class today. And of course all of the kids were wearing their green. All but one. Aidan Murphy! :rotfl2: He has fire engine red hair, too. I just found that to be so funny!

No celebrations here. I actually forgot about it until I read my email.

I don't think we have any Irish... most of my ancestry is German, and D I have no idea? Scottish and Native American, I think.

Anyhow, hope everyone is having a great day. Kickboxing absolutely kicked my behind today. The woman is totally Jillian. 30 day shred is a breeze compared to this woman's class.

You know, you don't have to be Irish to celebrate St Pat's! It's not about being Irish, but celebrating what's great about Ireland - the beautiful green everywhere, the good beer, the rock and roll that saves the world. ;)

Really, it's the spirit of Ireland - such a beautiful country, and seriously the most welcoming people I've ever met.

This it my dad's current fav song, although he did not vote for the PRes, he LOVES this song. Have you seen it?

Funny stuff.

We're all Irish today. Heck, I'm not Irish by blood at ALL, but today I'm from Kildaire, where my sister-in-law hails from. She emailed me to say she wishes she was with us. No divorce yet, but I bet it's a matter of time. Still, I'm going to keep her. Then I really can say I have family in Ireland!

Thanks for the hugs. Need them. Will need more later, I suspect. But I'm going to face it on, and not stuff yet. :thumbsup2

hey all..

Paula- WTG on the loss!! And 50 pounds total!! :worship:

Erika-Your post about the sap running, totally took me back to VT, my family used to tap a few dozen trees and make syrup every spring. We had a little sugar house and everything. Smells so good. Good memories. :goodvibes

Liz- . Please drunk text/post/email. I am about to get my drink on myself.

I am a 1/4 irish. Decked out in green today! Delena has the cutest green capris. My most favorite st patricks shirt was when I was PG and I had one that said "got a little irish in me" with an arrow pointing to my stomach. I was almost 3rd tri, so I had a cute belly by that point.

Boca burgers and beer tonight. :thumbsup2

Challenge stuff for me

Water: 64 oz+ both today and yesterday

Exercise: 75 minutes yesterday (3 mile walk/wog/jog, some hill sprints and scaling the rock wall at the playground!), 35 today weight loss pilates, so 110/1200.

I will probably check back in later once the drinking has commenced! :drinking1 :shamrock: :drinking1 :shamrock:

Watching BL..They have to run a 1/2 marathon!!
