Actually, we (RNs) do change bedpans. I have a strong dislike for any nurse that thinks they are "too posh to wash or too cool for the poo". I imagine Kate would be one of those, but you never know she cleaned the poo of all those kids. Or maybe her nanny did?

That must vary by hospital.Neither my sister or Mom (RN's) changed bedpans. That was the job of CNA's.
It probably varies by facility and the availability of CNAs. Not all nursing takes place in hospitals though. Visiting nurses in Elder or Hospice care deal with a fair amount of poo.
Kate with her (how shall I put it politely) rather limited empathy, questionable social skills and documented horror of germs and poo would probably be better in an administrative position.
Does she have a BS in nursing? That would give her more opportunities if she doesn't like direct patient care.
