A couple more thoughts on the final episode:

Kate said that having a human growing inside of you, attaches you to them forever..... really Kate... how are things with your own Mom.... I also think it is very telling that she talked about having to answer for her parenting styles and making conscious decisions to be like or unlike your own parents... hmmm

I actually think that ALL of the kids were coached or guided in their couch interviews. They all looked over to their left as if someone was there mimicking what they should say.

It is so sad that they told the kids that the vow renewal was to show them that they will never be apart and they will always be there together for the children, then she said that they were "unraveling" and the renewal was a last straw attempt to hang on to the marriage. She then said "that person doesn't exist anymore" which she was referring to Jon but the same could also be said of her.

And I would argue that TLC went out of their way to edit the footage over the years to make Kate look worse than she actually is. Drama = ratings = profit.

Now, now, Kate was quoted as saying, "they are the most real, reality show on tv. What you see is what you get, there are no retakes. If the kids come stumbling through the door, there is no going back and reshooting-they move on and keep going. But she did say, as the kids got older, it was easier to make a plan and go and be somewhere. She admitted when the kids got older, it was scripted more,
