Ooo! I bet you get a lot of kids in that car.
If it gets bad enough, Kate may even have to sell her new Audi TT sports car. Perish the thought!

Hmmm, well looks like it actually pays better than I thought - I imagined it was around $60-$70K per episode, but in 2010 TV Guide showed:
Reality (per year)
Ryan Seacrest (American Idol) $15 million
Joel McHale (The Soup) $2 million
Piers Morgan (America's Got Talent) $2 million
Kate Gosselin (Kate Plus 8) $250,000 per episode
Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi (Jersey Shore) $30,000 per episode

I would be crying (actually hysterically sobbing) to lose those $$$ also.

Well, I hope & pray she did plan for a "rainy day".
As far as the "girls" - I don't have proof, but it seems suspect to me. She's had 2 pregnancies (both with multiples) and even if she didn't nurse, it still affects your chest. I also look at her in the early days & now - they're definitely "perkier" than before. Just in a tshirt, dress, you could take care of that with a good bra. But in a swimsuit? Hmm.
Didn't she have that done when she had the freebie tummy tuck a number of years ago? And wasn't it the plastic surgeon's daughter that broke up the marriage????
... she does have nursing to fall back on, if she can get hired.
No, he said she didn't need it done, and suggested a good bra. It wasn't his daughter that broke up the marriage, it was Kate and Jon. Jon did date and live with her though.
And, if money becomes a problem, she has something she can sell!
So, Kate Gosselin (Kate Plus 8) $250,000 per episode
divided by 9 is $27,777 per person in the household if she divides it equally between her and her kids. OF COURSE, they aren't WORKING so I suppose she feels they aren't entitled to that. I am going to venture a guess that most of that $$ is in her name, and that those kids will see very little of that money in years to come.
I also do not know why her ex Jon has to pay child support. I am all for dad's doing their parts, but she makes way more that he does. I can see him putting money in for college, but the daily expenses should be on her dime.
Don't bet on it. Nursing is one of those careers that is very technological. If you've been away from the field for 8 years you're pretty much stale goods. And that's not even addressing her decidedly bad behavior on TV. What employer is going to look at her show and say, "Wow! We've gotta have this chick! Let's sign her up for $70,000/year." At this point she would have to go back to school and take a nursing refresher to bring her up to speed. And then she'd actually have to get hired. Nursing jobs aren't nearly as plentiful as the non-nurse public seems to believe. It's a very competitive field. And you almost never start off on the day shift. No siree. Most new nurses start on the night shift, which is very difficult for single parents to manage. Her best bet would be to try to find an office nursing slot, but barring that, she may need to expand her horizons. Maybe go into real estate or be a travel agent. Or learn to be a surveyor--that would be an excellent job for her. Work alone, very detail-oriented.
I don't understand how Jon has to pay Kate child support, when she is making more money that he is? Imo Kate is a big hypocrite. Getting paid to appear in People saying "I'm freaking out" but then going out and getting buying a sports car.I'd like to hear how she justifies the car. "Sorry kids, we have to cut down on household expenses, like food. But don't you like my new car. Okay got to go. I'm late for tanning."

The car was bought before the cancelation, and I would not be surprised to see if she sells it. However, the van goes to Jon with the kids, and then back to her when she has them, so she would need to buy another one, since she does have to have a car. She did say it was used and a good deal. I have no idea what a used one would be. It does seem silly to get a two seater..I would think a suv or sedan would have been smarter. She did get a portion of the paycheck, so I hope she used her share to buy it and not the kids. Whether we like it or not, or agree or not that she actually works, she does draw a paycheck.
Support is set up by the courts. Jon can petition to go back to court, if he feels it's too much based on his current job (although it's usually every other year)..but he'll always have to pay a certain amount. It's usually a percentage of each person's paycheck. Is Jon still under contract until next year with TLC? Do you think he's putting out as much money as Kate is in the support? Do
you think he shouldn't have to pay anything?
A new Audi TT is about $50,000. If the one Kate has is actually used, she paid about $40,000. And she actually did trade a SUV for it. The good news is that she can trade that snazzy little black Audi in for a new Ford or Chevy 15 passenger van for only $30,000 and actually haul her kids around in it.
She doesn't need the big van, and use all that gas. She already has one her and Jon share. But a smaller less expensive car for herself would be nice...if money does become a problem. I have no idea of the price of it, she said it was used. I can't even tell the year so would have no idea what she paid, or if it was a good deal. Mostly because I wouldn't care. Like I said, she got it before she (and us) heard the show was canceled, I assume she used her share of the money, and if she can no longer afford it, she can sell it.
I believe that is projected/rumored income as I don't believe that the terms of the contract with TLC are public. That was also back when the show was drawing better numbers.Hmmm, well looks like it actually pays better than I thought - I imagined it was around $60-$70K per episode, but in 2010 TV Guide showed:
