"I'M STUCK IN DISNEY!!!!!!!!" A Delightfully Unliveable TR ~ NEW TR 9/27!!!!!!!!!!!

You can put the audio trip report on hold, I'm all caught up!

My eyes are awkwardly twitching from the strain of all this reading, but I did it. :thumbsup2

Seriously, your trip reports are always a joy to read and not at all eye strain inducing. You capture the fun and excitement of being in Disney better than anyone. The whole Hanson/'Ohana/Food Drunkenness sequence had me rolling. And now I'm more homesick than ever. I need to start planning my next trip ASAP. I CAN'T DEAL WITH ALL THIS 'WHEN WILL I BE BACK?' UNCERTAINTY.

PS: I haven't been able to take the Oscars (or any awards show really) seriously since Goofy's snub. That was just...there are no words for a snub of that magnitude.

Storybook Circus!!!! Isn't it amazing? I have to be honest, I didn't think I'd like it when I saw it, but I was in love with it! It is so perfectly themed, and just so much fun! So colorful and happy, it's just wonderful! :lovestruc

I loved Big Top souvenirs too! I loved everything about that area! We didn't meet Goofy and Donald, but we did meet Daisy and Minnie, and Minnie was just so sweet, I wanted to take her home with me! She's just so cute I can't handle it!

You're brave for talking to that clown with the sock puppet...I tend to walk in the opposite direction when I see a clown! However, I'm guessing a Disney clown might be pretty awesome!

You would be a perfect Alice or Rapunzel! And I think I recall telling you on Twitter at some point I thought you would be a fantastic Cinderella too, although I don't know the height requirements like you do! You should just try out, you have nothing to lose! :yay:

You would make a wonderful Alice :)!!

We enjoyed Storybook Circus when we were there too, I was very surprised how low the crowds were in that area due to it being NY's week! Unfortunately we didn't get to meet the characters and we didn't visit the merchandise store :(. We will definitely need to do that next time!!

My son loves the Barnstormer, he loved it on our last trip as well so I was very glad they brought it back!! My daughter loved it this time as well :)

Great character pics! Love the random sock puppet/clown nose CM...I wonder what his function was? But who cares really, when the result is those awesome photos?!

Thank you! I've noticed lately they have a lot more streetmosphere at MK. I think maybe he literally is just a person who stands there and talks to people, probably hands out stickers, etc. I LOVED HIM!

You would make the PERFECT Alice!!! I nominate you for that roll!!!! :yay:

Thank you so much!

Priceless!:lmao: The clown job would be the best job ever. Except, I hear from disneyfreak508, Rapunzel's gone rouge and has been heard speaking out of character!:scared1: I say you need to get your bags packed, get down there stat and show her how it's done!!!! The nerve of that imposter!:furious: For you, Rapunzel would be the best job ever!:cloud9:pixiedust:

Thanks for those amazing Storybook Circus pics. It looks like such a fun area! CM's with candy apples?! Oh Disney! I wonder if they have cotton candy-for me it's just another food group.

I know all about that! Let me tell you, that made me MAD! I can't believe anyone would do that. If that was my job I would never ever ever break character! EVER! Even if something crazy happened... I would just deal with it AS Rapunzel. Seriously. She could have EASILY talked about the college program with Jess while staying in character! Ugh, learn some improv skills!

It really is! I love it there so much! OF COURSE THEY HAVE COTTON CANDY! :D

I think that Donald only masquerades as a snake charmer. Couldn't you see the hilarious cartoon of Donald trying to charm a snake? Seriously, he would lose his ever loving mind! There would be lots of quacking and furious shaking of fists.

Those pics of you and Lee-Anne with the random clowns and sock puppets? Disney perfection.

I definitely could imagine that! hahahaha oh I love Donald and his frantic, angry, pessimistic ways!

haha I know. It was a great unexpected moment!

Storybook Circus is INCREDIBLE. The details are amazing there and I am so in love with Dumbo. I know it’s only like a 2 minute ride but it is so beautiful.

The CM outfits in New Fantasyland and Storybook Circus are awesome. I just love them way too much.

The Barnstormer is just…ok. I mean, usually I am going nuts about rollercoasters at Disney—or elevators that fall—but in my opinion, the Barnstormer is not the greatest.

I REALLY hope they make the Princess Hall well themed. If they don’t, I will be up in arms.

Ok, the pictures with you and Goofy and Donald are SO ADORABLE. I love them!

It really is! We didn't get to go on Dumbo. I'm really excited to do that next time though! Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later.

So do I! I would LOVE wearing something like that as a CM. It just makes the job all that more fun.

Well it's not a REAL rollercoaster, you know? It's supposed to be kiddie. So it's boring to me. But I haven't even been on since I was like 12 honestly.

ME TOO.

Aww thank you! It was so much fun!

You can put the audio trip report on hold, I'm all caught up!

WHAT? I'm already halfway through the recording of my McLovin trip report!!! SHEESH!

Congrats!!! thank you for not TL;DRing my report!! :thumbsup2

Thank you so much Kara!! :goodvibes I'm so happy to hear you say that because often I feel like... too overwhelmed to even articulate what I am feeling when it comes to the epicness of Disney, so the fact that you would think I capture it well is QUITE a compliment!

I CAN'T DEAL WITH IT EITHER. I'm not sure when I'm going back and it's really complicated and annoying. Like most things I say, it's a long story. We need to talk. LOL.

I know. There are all these posts on Tumblr about Sad Leo and i'm just like, UM... at least he's nominated! Hello! Goofy didn't get so much as a Golden Globe nomination!:furious:

It really is! When I heard they were changing Toontown I wasn't very thrilled about that but ever since I saw the pictures during soft openings I was on board. And seeing it in person is just... WOW. I love it so much!

We met Daisy and Minnie next, you'll see it in the next update. I agree about Minnie... her outfit for those M&Gs is AMAZING!

Well he wasn't REALLY a clown, he just had the nose on. I mean he wasn't all decked out in the make-up or anything. WHEW.

Thank you so much! A CM told me I looked just like Cinderella when I was at Animal Kingdom, he actually thought I worked at another park, and it was an honor. princess: I wish I could be Cinderella, but Rapunzel is my favorite so that would be my first choice anyway so I feel like it's perfect that she's the shortest princess. I'm technically too short to be Cinderella, but she wasn't that much taller than me when I met her, neither was Snow. I feel like they'd consider me for that only because my skin is so ridiculously white. LOL. Aurora is pretty tall, Belle too, but Aurora is the tallest I think.

You would make a wonderful Alice :)!!

Thank you so much!

I bet everyone was over in New Fantasyland being that it had just opened, so you got lucky! There's always your next trip for the characters & the big top!! Make sure they are at the top of your list, cause the whole thing is honestly SO well done!

Oh yay! It's always been a kid favorite... I'm really glad they didn't remove it!

PHEW!!! I caught up... Finally! :) past trip reports... Preplanning... Videos....photos photos photos... And I'm here... All caught up. YEAH!

The new Storybook Circus area really is awesome! I love all of the bright colors - it's so well done!

I think it's great that Pete was included in the new area too! He's definitely an under-represented character!

ME TOOOOOO! It really is new and shiny looking. It's just wonderful.

Thank you! I swear the sky is bluer in Disney. Maybe it's me.

Yeah... it's barely a coaster. But for someone like Lee-Anne who absolutely hates them I guess it counts as one!

Ahh I know! I love those princess ears! I may buy them next time!

Thank you SO MUCH. I wish I could! I really don't think they would cast me. But it's obviously worth a try (or two. Or five.)

HAHA Somehow it does not surprise me that you are good at talking to socks and wearing mis matched clothing. You just seem like my kinda person I gotta say.

The new Storybook Circus area really is awesome! I love all of the bright colors - it's so well done!

Me toooooo!!! I really hope they start featuring more underused characters in the parks like that! I could go on a very long rant about this but I will refrain (FOR NOW). haha

:cool1:
Loved the update...and your dress super cute

Thank you!!

OCTOBER 22, 2012
Day 1, Part 6 In Which There Are Pirouetting Poodles

After parting from my red-nosed friend, we got in line for Minnie and Daisy!

The wait was a bit longer this time, but we didn't mind at all. We were honestly having a blast! This was one of those moments in the trip where everything was in sync and going perfectly. Ahh I loved it.

8390844068_d0d992ae23_z.jpg

Would you look at that outfit?! I HAVE to borrow it sometime!

First we got to meet Daisy, who's job in the traveling circus was a fortune teller! I was fascinated by fortune tellers when I was a kid. My Halloween costume when I was 4 was a fortune teller, but then I changed it to Nala from the Lion King for our school's Halloween parade. Juuuust some Lia trivia. When I'm a celebrity, you might be on a game show and they might have a question like this. In the event of that happening, you are prepared!

Yeah... you're welcome.

8390229763_033b4b820d_z.jpg

You can't really tell, but Daisy's set was extremely detailed! Like I said, I was really impressed with this whole greeting area and I REALLY hope they continue to decorate them so elaborately!

8391311532_0d5c3fc72a_z.jpg

Next we met Minnie Magnifique! I really don't know what her job in the circus is... she puts on some kind of show with five poodles who have feathers on their heads and can do pirouettes. I bet it's absolutely divine!

8389758047_1076193508_z.jpg

Lee-Anne had these little bow earrings in and she pointed them out to Minnie, saying she had worn them just for her. Minnie clapped and seemed very pleased!

8389757877_cea687421f_z.jpg

I told her she was beautiful and I loved her new dress and she put her hand to her mouth and then fanned her dress out a bit to show it off. So cute! I like meeting her with Mickey, but I'm glad she has her own M&G now! All the women who independent, throw your hands up at me!!!!

We were a ball of energy and giggles after meeting such legendary figures. It was so much fun!

After leaving the sideshow, we headed to the train station to a hitch a ride to Frontierland.

Anyone up for some Bear Wrasslin'?

8390842548_3260be495e_z.jpg

I know I am.

8390842386_1f81d5795b_z.jpg

We sat in the very back of the train and there was a CM behind us. He seemed like a nice man and welcomed us aboard, but then he did something that made me roll my eyes SO HARD.

Lee-Anne and I had actually *just* had a conversation the day before about how much I hate when people comment on how fair my skin is... unless they are being nice. A lot of people say things like "You look like a porcelain doll," or "You're so lucky, take care of that skin and you'll look 40 when you're 50, and 50 when you're 60!" You know, that's nice to hear.

However, some people feel the need to tell me to get a tan. I really don't understand how anyone can think this is acceptable. You wouldn't walk up to someone and say "You should really change your hair color," or "That make-up is too light, you better darken it up." So why is it okay to tell me I need to change my skin color?!

So this CM said to me, "While you're in Florida, try and get some sun!" and then made some other comment I can't remember about how fair I am. I didn't say anything back. Lee-Anne just looked at me and said "Wow."

Usually at this point I snap back with a sarcastic comment, but hey, we were in Disney. Also, I like being fair! I don't think that being tan = looking better than you do with lighter skin. Just like anything else, it looks good on some people and others it doesn't. I'm aware spray tans exist, obviously if I wanted to be tan, I would be. So why would you tell me to get a tan when CLEARLY I DON'T WANT ONE?

Ugh.

People.

Whatever though... I was in the Magic Kingdom. SO I was only annoyed for about 3.8 seconds.

8390842212_4096dba34a_z.jpg

8389756737_a0726727df_z.jpg

After a stop on Main Street, we arrived at our destination: Frontierland!

8390841926_14657ebe92_z.jpg

I had tried to convince Lee-Anne to ride Splash Mountain, but there was just no way she would do it. I told her that it's barely even a thrill ride and the drop is the only even slightly "scary" thing, but she was just totally against it. Le sigh. Disney with no Splash Mountain is like Thanksgiving with no turkey or Friday with no two pizzas!

But I guess if you have no idea what you're missing... it's not a big deal. Hopefully she'll do it one day. Maybe I should try to get her on the Barnstormer first or something. Baby steps!! I mean, it's fine that her preference is no thrill rides. But I just feel bad about all she is missing out on!

Lee-Anne said she was hungry, so we went over to Pecos Bills, where we made a friend!

8390841778_a326bfc1be_z.jpg

She decided that she didn't want anything from that menu and neither did I. Like I said, I was keeping my stomach clear for the Food & Wine incoming later. She was too hungry to wait though, so I asked what kind of food she was in the mood for. She also didn't want to fill up before F&W, so she said she would just go with some fruit or something. I told her we could go to Main Street and get her some, so that's where we headed!

Chip & Dale were out in their Frontierland finest... don't you just love when characters dress area-specific?

8389756071_b0569d8547_z.jpg

Once we reached Liberty Square, the band was out! I'm calling them "the band" because I can't remember the real name. So we'll just go with the band. Not to be confused with The Band!

8390841170_b375b92d19_z.jpg

Sigh... I'm so fabulous. *hair flip*

IMG_1430_zps873c6e20.png

Our destination was Starbucks.

I MEAN... the Main Street Bakery.

WHEW.

Made a little mistake there. Everyone stay calm.

It was decorated with lots of tiny pumpkins that families drew on with sharpies (?)

8390840682_329354588c_z.jpg

Do you think that next year they will have these pumpkins again or only green and white Starbucks" pumpkins? CONSUMERISM :(

8389755487_098b9ea2b5_z.jpg

It was pretty crowded in there, so once she got her fruit, we went to sit outside.

This is one of my favorite places to relax at the Magic Kingdom. You cannot beat that view!

I love that picture of Lee-Anne. I caught her with fruit in her mouth, I think, but she just looks SO happy!

Ok guys, I gotta pee. CATCHA LATER!

Up Next: EPCOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahhhhhh! I love Minnie & Daisy's outfits!!!!! They are sooooooo cute!!! I absolutely hate that we missed Minnie on our last trip :(!!! My daughter would have been in Heaven with all that pink!!!!!!!

:( that Lee Ann wouldn't ride Splash Mountain.......

It's amazing to me what comes out of people's mouth .....and adults at that!! Hello!!! Do you have manners?? My babies(6&3) are VERY fair skinned and if I had a dollar for every comment about "how translucent" they are ....well I could probably taken another trip to Disney! Yeah, I think I will send my children to the tanning bed so they don't offend you anymore with their fair skin.....said NOONE EVER!

Looks like you guys are having the most wonderful time!!! Lovin' the updates!!

It's ok, I'm sure she'll be there for a long time! You can catch her on your next trip. ;)

BOO I know. I hope she'll go on someday!

I know right? UGH that's even more disgusting that people would make those comments about your CHILDREN! Kids should be taught that no matter what your skin looks like you are perfect the way you are, not that they need tans. It's absolutely insane.

We had the best time! Thank you, hopefully I can keep these updates coming :D

Aw man, love the Winnie the Pooh ride queue is totally awesome, sometimes it’s totally awesome to have a little bit of a wait so you can play around in there, so fun!

AW WHAT?! Never noticed that Pinocchio there before, thanks for pointing that out! I’ll keep my eyes open next time! UGH! Baby stuff at Disney is so amazing and adorable! I got my friends daughter a Rapunzel dress and a bunch of baby clothes and they’re all just SO CUTE! Lucky grab on that being the last Pooh!

Ugh, not excited for the princess hall, I’m thinking they’ll do it like DLR, where you’ll get only 3 of the 5 possibilities in there, I do not like playing Princess roulette, also, with Tiana in there we say good bye to Naveen. SAD FACE.

Aahaha I love things that become inside jokes for the entire trip, glad you had a bunch! I’ve started really to love PPF over the course of the trips, I think Disney in a whole has started to mean so much more to me that everything now has those little things that just kill me!

AH! I totes have that hidden Mickey dress! Cute! Hahaha, DO IT! AUDITION! Seriously, most fun auditions I’ve ever been too, and Disney just upped Alice’s “friends” height to 5’2’’t o 5’4’’ with Rapunzel starting at either 5’3 or 5’4’’ You should definitely audition!!

I really, really loved the Storybook Circus souvenir shop, like, it’s awesome, and everything in there is themed so well, totally agree with you that they did really create a circus. I never got to see WDW’s Toontown, but I’m glad the spray area is the same, although I’d love it if they had more of a “mist” than spray, all the kids I saw in there were soaked!!

Totally didn’t notice the prints in the ground, UGH DISNEY WHY, you do things so fantastically! And YES on the FLE CM costumes, they’re all so incredible, I love them! I am really looking forward to the Princesses being somewhere regal (even with the other thoughts I have on fairytale hall) I’m betting it’s going to be absolutely amazing!

Again, AUDITION!! If you plan an audition trip, let me know, maybe I’ll be at that one too!! Heehee. They’re some of the most fun things I’ve ever been too, I mean, it’s Disney, how could it not be?!

Kay, I keep seeing these pictures of you with the blonde hair with the same dress and being all “where did this girl get a picture of me from…oh…right” bahaha, we could be sisters… ahahahahaha…and I get those “tan” comments when I go anywhere, and got called “albino” all through school thanks to the naturally bleach blonde hair I’ve got, the last time I went through customs on the way to Disney he was all “get some sun, you could use it” yeah, thanks. I have to spray tan for dance competitions now, and it actually is really nice, but can be a pain.

Ahahahaha…nice one with the starbucks! I’m really hoping they don’t change it too much, and I REALLY hope there won’t be a Starbucks sign in view of all my castle pics now… *grump*

Excited to read more!!

I like the fact that Minnie has her own area too - it definitely gives it a little girl power! :thumbsup2

What a strange comment for the CM to make! :confused3

Lee-Ann was being so good, just having fruit! To have fruit at Disney to me would clearly = caramel apple! (Hey, it has fruit, right??? :rolleyes1)

AHHH I just love those moments when everything just feels perfect and just falls into place perfectly!

Bahaha I love the random Lia trivia! That is too funny, your little fortune teller obsession! Thank you for preparing us for possible game show scenarios in the future. Much appreciated.

The details look amazing in there! Gah that Disney detail has done it again!
I'm glad that Minnie is being all independent and going with her bad self...

Wow Minnie really has a special way with controlling pink poodles.
But seriously, it is probably a really handy skill to have.... you know... in circus life.

UGH I hate unwanted stranger comments about things like that. Um thanks for your input stranger but it's really uncalled for.

Oh lordy. The skies are SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I Miss them!!!

Oh no! I'm sad you didn't get to ride Splash! Oh well it just means next time you can ride it twice as much to make up for it! You can have another Splash-a-thon and it will be fantastic!

Awh look at your fabulous princess pose! I like that the crowds got out of your way. They know whats up.

Starbucks?? Blasphemy!!! Walt would roll over in his grave!!!!
Haha I'm looking forward to decent coffee in trips to come and I'm pretty sure they are smart enough to make it look as freakin amazing as everything else they change.

In that last photo of Lee-Anne she does look super happy! Ahhhh why can't it be closer and cheaper to go to WDW so we could all be there right now eating fruit and being happy in the sun!

YAY EPCOT!!!!

I love the new Storybook Circus character meet and greet outfits LOVE LOVE LOVE them!

I really wish you could just call up Disney and say “I want to borrow such and such’s costume, pretty please.” That would be awesome. I would be calling up all the time to borrow Minnie’s.

I think Goofy, Donald, Daisy, and Minnie should all do some kind of circus performance like once a month or something. I would pay big money to see that.

Donald in his Frontierland costume is so awesome. Chip & Dale are awesome too. I love the character’s costumes! This is why I need to borrow them.

I LOVE sitting in front of The Plaza looking at the castle. It’s just beautiful.

Hmm I don't know, I think the work on Pete's Silly Sideshow suggests more detail will be put into the Princess Hall, however I will be annoyed if it's princess roulette. If you don't know exactly who you're meeting before you go in, that'll be a disaster for parents who's kids have their heart set on meeting a particular princess. I mean, I was devastated when Rapunzel & Eugene weren't at Town Hall the first night I went to MNSSHP, and I'm an adult. LOL.

I'll most likely audition, but I'm really not expecting anything and I don't think I should move to Orlando either. But if they offered me a job it would be hard not to take! And IDK I went to a Hong Kong Disneyland audition and it wasn't fun. LOL I've probably just been to way too many auditions in my life to find any of them FUN. It was definitely cool to be dancing to Disney music, though! They put on "That's How You Know" from Enchanted. I LOVE that movie so I definitely had a spring in my step but of course I was not cast. BLAH.

OMG I can't believe they called you albino. That's just pathetic to use something like that as an insult toward another person. People are gross, I don't even get it. I would never call someone that. I have to spray tan for work sometimes and it just makes me feel bad because people comment on how great and HEALTHY I look with "a little color"... I'm like, are you implying I look unhealthy normally? What? I mean... despite my regular consumption of burgers and cupcakes... I'm pretty healthy. LOL.

I like to joke about the whole Starbucks thing because people just take it far too seriously, they act as if it's going to be "Starbucks Presents Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom!" or something. I highly doubt there is going to be a big, out of place Starbucks sign on Main Street. I'm sure the logo will be in the window or something, but tastefully done.

Thank you so much!

:rolleyes1)

hahaha GUESS WHAT. When I was #StuckInDisney I actually had carrots and celery with ranch for breakfast at Animal Kingdom. Seriously. I was just so maxed out on food. I couldn't do it anymore. Mickey waffles, tonga toast, and endless other delicious breakfast choices were out there but I was done.

I'm glad someone appreciates the Lia Trivia!! You never know when my stardom will hit so it is just good to be prepared!

HAHA I know. I guess she does have a way with the poodles. It's so random though. I mean, I'd love to have been there when an imagineer pitched that idea.

Seriously! It's one thing if it's a close friend who wants to be honest with you (but even then I'd be like I LIKE MY SKIN THE WAY IT IS THANKS) but a random stranger?? GTFO.

I actually only got to ride Splash once this WHOLE TRIP! But you're right, I will make up with it in Splashathons later!!

LOL well when you're Queen of the Poly, crowds just part in your honor I guess! :princess

I agree... I think Disney knows how to handle it. There's not gonna be a huge eyesore Starbucks sign blocking the castle. They'll handle it appropriately. I mean, if I ran WDW I wouldn't put a Starbucks on Main Street but I'm not UP IN ARMS about it. Disney is still Disney, who cares.

Ahh I wish it was closer and cheaper myself and I'm 1800 miles away! I can't imagine how you feel in Australia!

I love the new Storybook Circus character meet and greet outfits LOVE LOVE LOVE them!

ME TOO! I love when characters are wearing something different from their normal attire.

LOL I know, right?

I'd pay to see that too! Come one, come all!!!!

Me too! I also really love the Tomorrowland costumes on the characters, but I rarely see them anymore.

I know, it's one of my favorite places to just chill out and soak in Disney's amazingness!!!

OMG you get that too.. So annoying!! I have dark hair and brown eyes.I've been told I look like Snow White...:cutie:
