I didn't even see the Welcome Show until my... 8th trip I think? My parents would NEVER get up early to go to the parks. When I finally saw it I couldn't believe what I was missing all those years!

Day 2, Part 2 In Which We're So Close Yet So Far

GUYS.

I was just crying cause I want to be in Disney so bad right now. I made the mistake of listening to the Lion King soundtrack which I obviously can not handle. I wish I was in AK watching FOTLK right now.

I know, I know, I was just there for so many days. BUT IT'S NOT ENOUGH! I JUST WANT TO BOOK MY NEXT TRIP RIGHT NOW I CAN NOT STAND IT HELP.

Just had to get that off my chest. IT HURTS. AAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

Okay. Now back to your regularly scheduled #StuckinDisney12.

Lee-Anne and I made our way up the castle walkway so we could short-cut right through Cinderelly's house and into Fantasyland!

I spotted a little Tinkerbell walking in front of us...

I caught a shot of an empty Liberty Square as we walked on...

Looking out onto Main Street...

And of course the castle stage. Imagine if it was your job to perform in this show every day? I can't even.

EEE!!! WE'RE HERE!

I pointed out the mice from Cinderella in the castle and Lee-Anne was seriously AMAZED by this. It's amazing seeing the reaction of someone who isn't used to Disney's flawless details!

She also freaked over the beautiful mosaics!

I wish I could eat at Cinderella's Royal Table, but I'm never able to plan my trips far enough in advance. That one is on my Bucket List for sure.

It's okay. She'll learn the frump lifestyle eventually.

We went straight to Peter Pan's Flight to get some Fastpasses... and out popped Surprise Fastpasses for Mickey's PhilharMagic!

It was cool, but it's not like you ever need FPs for that. We didn't end up using them, but it was still nice!

Crocodile weather vane! I can hear the ticking now.

BUT FORGET ABOUT THAT.

Um.

Look. What's that over there?

Oh.

It's just the entrance to NEW FANTASYLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could have fallen over and died right there. It just like finally CLICKED that I was in Disney and while I've been gone they completed the most epic expansion ever which is pretty much tailored to my childhood favorites. It's fine.

At this time, New Fantasyland was in Soft Openings. However, this particular week, it was Cast Member Previews ONLY. Unfortunately... I am not a Cast Member. YET.

So, while I knew it wouldn't be open to us, we decided to walk up anyway just to confirm. You could actually walk through the entrance, but not much further.

I love this shot, standing in New Fantasyland looking out into our tried and true Original Fantasyland!

At this point I LOST IT because you could see Eric's Castle. I was actually jumping up and down. It just looked so perfectly EXACTLY like his castle in the movie and I could not believe I was seeing PRINCE ERIC'S CASTLE before my very eyes. Beast's Castle had been there on my last trip, but Eric's wasn't! I was DYING TO GET IN THERE!! AHH!

Unfortunately, they had a sign up that said they were not open at this time and several CMs stationed to stop insane people like myself from just high-tailing it on in there at full speed.

I asked one of the CMs if it would be open at all during the week, especially the 27th, because I heard that the 27th was the one day that CM Previews were NOT going on. She said she wasn't sure.

Remember, at the time I had no idea I would be #StuckInDisney until Nov 1. I didn't know that they'd open New Fantasyland during MNSSHP, and I thought that my only chance would be to see it on the 27th. I was pretty anxious about this, I just felt SO CLOSE to it yet SO FAR! I couldn't imagine leaving without getting to experience it, but I would just have to wait and see...

I love that picture because it says "Dreams Come True" and Grumpy is just like yeah... no.

TALE AS OLD AS TIME Y'ALL.

Days later I would be IN THAT CASTLE putting on a show for Belle... but I didn't know that yet.

I'm so happy to finally be actively planning a Disney trip again. It's been over 2 years since my last one and I've been DYING TO GO BACK.

OH MY GOSH, I'm so excited for New Fantasyland!!! It looks amazing in those preview videos and I want to eat some grey stuff.

I went through all your pictures last night. I LOVE what you did with your ToT shirt! I now realize that I'm seriously lacking in ToT apparell. That needs to be fixed on my Disnemoon.

I'm listening to the Haunted Mansion right now. <3

I can't believe it's been two years! You are gonna appreciate it all the more though since you haven't been back in so long.

It's beyond ridiculously amazing. I could barely handle it. I was freaking out yelling and crying the whole time. I can't WAIT to try the grey stuff! I didn't get to eat at Be Our Guest but I did get to go in and it was insanely beautiful, like the movie magically came to life.

Hello, I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your Mclovin' trip report, I just started the second one, after reading this one and I had to comment. You left to go on not only Walt's Birthday, but also both of my boys' birthday(they turned 4 and 8 that year) we were at MGM that day!! I also have to tell you that the first thing my little guy did on the day he turned 4 was go on your most favorite thing... Tower of Terror!! He loved it, but refused to go on it again!! We are inpatiently waiting to go back sometime around October 2014. I can't wait to read the rest of it to see if we were anywhere at the same time!! By the way, you had me dying repeatedly!! The kids kept asking what was so funny!

haha that is SO true. I cry so much in Disney it's crazy. I just get so over emotional and happy to be there.

I don't think I'm a skilled enough technical dancer to even audition for DAWM, unless I was a character performer. Which would be just amazing. I wish!

Also love your excitement - that is exactly how I feel at Disney. Like you can't walk, you have to run or skip or dance or FLY because walking is for normal locations and Disney is a MAGICAL location and requires special modes of moving from one place to another.

Day 2, Part 3 In Which Ma'assalama

With New Fantasyland out of the question (for now), we headed over to Pooh for our first attraction of the day!

I explained to Lee-Anne that the interactive queue was new and they are slowly adding more of these to rides throughout the parks. We had fun playing with stuff, but the line was moving very fast, so we didn't really need the entertainment at that moment.

I was just trying to take a picture of the Hunny sign, and this guy came and put his head right next to it and smiled really big so that he could be in my picture. I captured this right before he posed, and thanked him sarcastically. THANKS DUDE. Your awkward and frumpy picture will now be immortalized in my TR for all of eternity!

This was the cutest CM ever. He was literally just standing there holding Pooh and making him wave to everyone. This person has a perfect life is what I'm saying.

HEFFALUMPS!

After we got off the ride, Lee-Anne wanted to spend some time shopping here because her family are big Pooh fans and she wanted to bring them back presents.

I spotted this bank that I totally would have bought, but I already have my Stitchy bank that I bought on my 2008 trip. He eats all my money.

I had to go to the bathroom, so I decided to go over to the restrooms by the Village Haus while Lee-Anne finished her shopping.

When I met back up with her, she had purchased pretty much the cutest things ever for her newborn niece.

Christmas Pooh! It was the last one, too. How lucky!

Next, we headed over to It's A Small World.

In the photo above on the left you can see the construction for the Princess Fairytale Hall. RIP Snow White's Scary Adventures!

Do you know that I ALWAYS say to myself that I'm not going to take pictures on Small World cause I have a million dating back to 1995, and yet I ALWAYS do anyway?

Like most of the dark rides, I notice new things every time I go on. This time, I realized there are a ton of random hearts all over. I love it because I think it symbolizes the message that we are all equal and everyone should love each other and stop being such jerks. Don't you agree?

It must be noted that Lee-Anne was singing "It's a small world after all..." in Zazu's accent for basically the entire trip. Most people would find this annoying. I am not one of these people. I would then start singing the lovely bunch of coconuts song and Lee-Anne would join in. This happened approximately 4,000 times. We're the best.

MA'ASSALAMA is the most excellent way to say "goodbye". My mom and I say this all the time, but not as a goodbye greeting. We use it like this: "Just ate at 'Ohana and now ma'assalama! WHEW."

Our FastPass window was now open for Peter Pan's Flight, so we headed across the way and got in the FP line.

I was SO excited, not only because this is one of my favorite attractions, but Lee-Anne is extremely obsessed with everything Peter Pan, and she's never been on this ride!!

HERE WE GOOOOOOOOOOOO!

By the time we went to Neverland and back in a pirate ship, Lee-Anne was pretty much reduced to a crying mess on the ground. I think we can all relate to that, my friends! Everyone has that Disney show/attraction that just makes you melt.

AT LONG LAST, it was time to head over to STORYBOOK CIRCUS!!!!

On the way over, I had to stop and take a picture in front of Mad Tea Party.

According to Disney, I'm the same height as Alice... just saying. I also have blonde hair and blue eyes... just like Alice. JUST SAYING. You know who else looks like that? Rapunzel. She is also the same height as I am. Just SAYING DISNEY SHOULD CAST ME THAT IS ALL. BYE.

Look, Disney, you could do a lot worse.
