I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

This trip came about because ever since my friend Jess (DisneyFreak508/Trip Reporter Extraordinare) got accepted to the Disney College Program, she's been asking me to come visit her! Not that she had to ask me twice! So for awhile I have been trying to figure out when to go. What better time than THE WEEK OF MY BIRTHDAY?

April 8th is my birthday, and then THE VERY NEXT MORNING I am leaving for Walt Disney World!

I talked it over with my friends Lee-Anne and Gina, who you know from this TR (Gina hasn't made her appearance yet, she comes in at the end, but she's in the intro!) and they are both in! Lee-Anne will be with me April 9th-13th, and Gina will be joining me later on. We're leaving Disney on April 18th, and then Gina and I are going back to her house for a few days.

I can't even DESCRIBE how excited I am! It's going to be such an amazing birthday knowing THE NEXT DAY I'LL BE IN DISNEY WORLD WITH MY FRIENDS!!!!!

I can not wait to see Jess again after not being in Disney together since December 2011. It is going to be so amazing to see her in her role as a Cast Member!! DISNEY REALLY ISN'T READY FOR US BEING IN THE PARKS TOGETHER AGAIN. PREPARE YOURSELVES.

Lee-Anne definitely caught the Disney bug last time, which I'm thrilled about cause that was my goal! I didn't think she would want to go back *this* soon, but she is more than excited, especially about New Fantasyland because she just missed it last time! I got to go literally hours after she left. I felt a bit guilty, but it's okay because now she will get to experience it with me as her fabulous tour guide!

Gina is a massive Disney fan, but unfortunately has only been to Disney very briefly as a child. As an adult she has really wanted to go... but Disney is expensive and she's a college student and being an adult is hard! She's only going to have like a day and a half in Disney due to her school and work schedule, but it's something! I'm still trying to figure out exactly what we're going to do because with that little amount of time you really need a plan! I think I'm gonna come up with a few different strategies and see which one she likes best!

As for me... I'm just so excited to be back in my peaceful place. A lot of people call Disney their happy place, and I definitely feel the same way, but I think on a bigger level... it's my place of peace. I experience happiness at home/other places, but it's rare I feel the level of contentment and peace I feel while in Disney. So I'm just dying to have that level of MAGICAL ZEN hit me again! And did I mention I WILL BE TEARING UP THE WORLD WITH MY BEST FRIENDS?!?! I mean, does it get better than this? I think not, friends.

One of the more magical elements of this trip is the whole birthday thing! Yes, we will be celebrating the momentous occasion that was my birth. However, everyone else has birthdays around this time! Gina's is March 24, Jess's is May 8, and Lee-Anne's is May 14. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THIS MEANS?!?!?!?!? Birthday celebrations all around! Disney birthday buttons! Free stuff! Confetti! Cards from Mickey Mouse!!!! OH IT'S ALL JUST SO WONDERFUL!

There are of course other great things about this trip. April is my 2nd favorite time to go due to MY BIRTHDAY (duh), the weather (hot, but not unbearable, with nice breezes at night, and not too much rain!) and crowds (not low exactly, but not bad!). There's also the beautiful EPCOT INTERNATIONAL FLOWER AND GARDEN FESTIVAL! Which is, you know, not comparable with Food & Wine, but still magical.

And Mickey Mouse, I know you're reading this, my love. I'll see you in exactly TWO MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 2, Part 8 In Which COURSE BY COURSE! ONE BY ONE! TIL YOU SHOUT!

I love that I happen to be posting this update on the day I found out that they are going to have Food & Drink kiosks at the Flower & Garden Festival!!!

I seriously can't describe how excited I am about this. Disney is always beyond magical, but when those Food & Wine Festival booths aren't around... to me it feels like a little something is missing. So the fact that they are doing this just brings me so much joy! I can't believe we will be there two months from now!

I have to make a Top 10 Things I Want To Try At The Flower & Garden Festival post... but until then here's an update!!!

Ahh yes... Food and Wine. But we can't leave the Art of Disney Store without me showing you my favorite piece!

I cannot fathom for a second being able to create something like that. Thomas Kincade was truly a genius artist!

OKAY ENOUGH OF THAT. Everything in there was so incredible, but knowing that the Food & Wine Festival was going on minutes away from there was too much for me. PEOPLE WERE EATING CHEDDAR CHEESE SOUP! I really couldn't stay in that store too long.

BUT I did have to make one more stop. I needed to get my Chinese soda on!

Just wanted to show Lee-Anne around Club Cool and wet my whistle before engaging in Food & Wine MANIA!

OH THE EXCITEMENT WAS BUILDING AND BUILDING.

Steps away from CHEDDAR CHEESE SOUP!!!!

And soon we were in....

OH HOW I HAD WAITED FOR THIS MOMENT. I was seriously almost crying with excitement. Time to reunite with my beloved Cheddar Cheese Soup!

Lee-Anne asked me where the nearest restroom was and I almost didn't hear her over the hallelujah chorus of angels that were singing around the soup. I directed her to the Canada bathrooms and got in the CHEDDAR CHEESE SOUP LINE!!!!

It's technically the Canada booth line, but look. Cheddar Cheese Soup is the reason the world spins on its axis correctly. Remove the soup and we are all doomed.

OH THE DIVINITY. Taking the first spoonful of this was a fantastic moment. It tasted exactly how I remembered it: mindblowingly flawless. If you've never had Cheddar Cheese Soup (?!??!!?!!????!?!?????????) you're probably like, why is this loon going on and on about SOUP? The answer is: you're not living life the right way and you need to plan an entire trip around either a Le Cellier reservation or the Food & Wine Festival. Or both. Because it is the best thing ever.

The soup was gone instantly - you know how Gaston gobbles 5 dozen eggs every morning to help him get large?!? It was kind of like that.

I ordered my beloved soup and also the Chipotle Chicken Sausage w/ Sweet Corn Polenta and Onion Jam.

Oh, the joy. The utter, utter joy.

I ALSO GOT BEER. One of the funny things about this trip is that I drank a lot (well, a lot for me) of beer which I've never done before. I'm random.

I'm just usually not a beer person, in fact I used to despise it... but then I met someone who insisted I try "good beer" and I was like hey, if you're buyin'!

So I've since warmed up to it. And that moment in Canada I got the "when in Rome" vibe and decided to get the Moosehead Beer.

Can you believe I didn't gobble everything up right away?! Nope, I was making a meal out of it! I headed straight across the way to the Greece kiosk!

I wanted the Griddled Greek Cheese w/ Pistachios and Honey, and that is exactly what I got. I then found a place to sit and proceeded to be in my glory.

This was one of the greatest moments for me! It was like someone hit an ON switch inside of me and I was suddenly BACK, baby! Back at F&W after a horrendous four year absence!

The Chicken Chipotle Sausage w/ Polenta was AMAZING! Just spicy enough, not too overpowering, especially with the creamy sweet polenta as a contrast. YUM!

The Griddled Greek Cheese was absolutely delicious, it was literally just a hunk of cheese with honey and pistachios. YUM. The only thing was, there was a TON of grease and honey at the bottom... so I just picked up the whole thing with a fork and put it in the container that the sausage came in. This way it wasn't laying in grease. I know that sounds nasty, but the flavors were UNREAL! The mix of the cheese with pistachios and honey... WOW! That's why I love F&W, because they mix flavors together that you would never think of. AHH BOTH WERE JUST SO DELICIOUS.

Not as good as the soup, but nothing is. It all tasted UNBELIEVABLY good though, and I was just in absolute heaven. The beer went perfectly with what I was eating and it was so cold and refreshing! I loved it!

Lee-Anne came back said she didn't want anything from the Canada or Greece booths. There were no words to describe what she was missing so we just moved on while I made various noises over how delicious this food was!

And suddenly we were in the United Kingdom.

This picture just kills me. Like... I'm standing in a UK telephone booth holding a beer. What is even going on?

Alice was out greeting. Look at the little princess with her!

Not that I could even THINK about meeting characters at a time like this! Please!

There was an Ireland booth here. At that moment I was still eating a bit of my Canada food but I had already run out of beer so it was time for more of that.

Before 2012, I seriously hadn't had beer since high school and I thought it was gross so I used to like balk at my friends for not drinking something better.

And here I was at Disney, knockin' em back! Go figure.

They had the Lobster Shepherd's Pie as well. Lee-Anne loves lobster, so that's what she picked!

Ok... I don't know anything about beer so I just ordered a random one. I think it was Guinness. As long as it wasn't Bud Light or some crap I was fine (I'M A BEER SNOB NOW APPARENTLY?).

I ended up selecting THE MAGIC BEER!

It was COLOR CHANGING BEER! Now, don't get me wrong, it's not like a fun Disney-created color changing beer. It just naturally does that when it comes out of the tap. First it looks like the lighter color with just a tiny bit of the darker one. As soon as the CM handed it to me I could see it CHANGING COLOR!

I was like WHOA! What up with that, what up with that?! (Hi, SNL fans!)

I... don't really remember what she said besides that it would change fully in a few seconds and I should wait for it.

It was pretty cool to watch it change before our eyes! Here it is fully transformed!

Like I said, I can't remember the name of it. But here's a fun game: just order ALL the beer in Ireland, and you'll not only have a lot of fun, you'll definitely find the color changing one! Yay, drinks all around!

Lee-Anne and I sat down nearby to enjoy our magic foods and beverages, color changing or otherwise.

She said the lobster pie was delicious!

While we were sitting there we had one of our usual ridiculous conversations that resulted me tweeting this:

After eating, we made our way around the lagoon just enjoying the sights and sounds of the Showcase.

At the Belgium stand, Lee-Anne stopped to get a waffle. It looked SOOOO good but I wasn't in full dessert mode yet. I still had to stuff my face with other things first!

@babybritney: If you see two ladies in Epcot screaming about waffles, it's us. Feel free to take pictures.

HAHA. Yes. The waffles were very exciting! Lee-Anne said it was BEYOND DELICIOUS. But I mean... duh.

As for me, I had already polished off the second beer. The heat was kind of bothering me that day, so I really needed to stay hydrated. While the cold beers were extremely refreshing, I thought I should probably slow down on that for awhile, so I went over to the Tangerine Cafe to get some ice water!

It's funny... I had been so distracted by the food I had not flirted with even ONE foreign CM! Can you believe it!!?!?!? If you've never read my TRs before, I am the Notorious B.I.G. when it comes to this. I'm surprised I've never been removed from the premises for ogling and flirting.

A cute Moroccan CM instantly approached me and asked if I needed help. He stopped what he was doing (cleaning) in order to get my water! I just love that Disney service!!

Though he was cute, I was going to just go back to Lee-Anne. But then he started asking me all kinds of questions AND HE JUST GOT EVEN CUTER!

Normally I'm not fond of the third degree, but when you remind me of Aladdin, it's really fine.

One of the things he asked was if I lived in Orlando and he seemed kinda bummed when I said no, probably because like many World Showcase CMs, he wanted to marry me. Too bad I'm already betrothed to Monorail Voice Guy and Taylor Hanson.

@babybritney: Moroccan Cast Members <3 Oh my heart. Oh my my.

I was very happy to have my first flirty foreign CM experience! That was nothing, though. Just WAIT... me being all alone #StuckInDisney lead to some very fun things!! But that's another story for another day!

By the time I got back to Lee-Anne, she was just chillin' in France.

Hula Timon was chillin' in a plant.

He had just eaten some very satisfying grubs, so all of us were pretty happy about our Food & Wine Festival experience so far!

Aladdin and Jasmine were out in Morocco as well.

But like I said, it was no time for character greetings. We had LOTS more Food & Wining to get to, so we were off!

Ahhhh!!! So I've been dying to take my children to Disney for Halloween .....because ...well it would be AWESOME!! Is it bad that now I want to ditch the kids and go to the Food & Wine instead?!?!? Ahhh, the food looks so good and to try all the different wines & beer sounds divine! I'm not a big drinker myself but its sure sounding fabulous! I think the F&W will still be going on while we are there for Halloween, so I could probably do both and my children really like Epcot. Couple of questions for you...can you use snacks from the DDP or just pay cash? And approximately how much is each sample that you buy? Would you think just "snacking" around the F&W would suffice or should we still make a TS?

I CAN NOT believe Lee-Anne didn't try the cheese soup!! Her Lobster looked fab though!
