DD9 just came in the kitchen as I was cleaning the oven.

below is our conversation LOL

"whatchya doing mom?"

"cleaning the oven"

"doesnt it have a clean button?"

"nope"

"they make them without clean buttons?"

"yup"

"wow, I'm glad I'm not you"

I'll be honest, this is the first oven I've ever had without a self cleaner- and I actually had to google how to clean a stupid oven....I can tell you without a doubt- this will be the LAST oven I own without a 'clean button'

This was the conversation DD11 and I had last week before she went to WDW with DH for the weekend. We aren't using our DVC point so they are staying at ASM.

Me-'What are going to do when you get there' (It was going to be about 7pm-ish)

DD- 'I will probably order room service'

Me-'You are staying at All Star Movies. They don't have room service'

DD- ' What do you mean 'They don't have room service''

Me- 'ASM doesn't have room service. You will have to go to the food court to get something to eat.'

DD- ' I am going to have to go somewhere else to get something to eat? I can't call the food court for room service?'

Me- ' Yes, you have to walk to the food court and order your own food'

DD- walks off shaking her head

Talk about spoiled.

Sounds like me when I was 12 or so. signed up for Home Ec and on the 1st day found out that not all the kitchen areas had dishwashers! Now granted this was in the 1950's, but sheesh we had had one at home for years.

I went home & told my mother, who proceeded to inform the teacher that I was to be assigned to a dishwasher equipped kitchen as she saw no reason for me to learn how to do dishes. Loved my mom! Of course the teacher was less than pleased with us. Oh well.
