There was a previous thread discussing this: https://www.disboards.com/threads/c...-mnsshp-without-park-ticket-that-day.3952002/Does anyone have any advice on this topic?
I would not arrive more than 15 mins late to an ILL. I hit my GOTG like 45 mins late or something due to an ADR and it flashed blue and the CM stopped me and informed me I was past my window. I had to explain I had a Space 220 res that went late and then they let me through.Thank you, that link answered my question.
Why would you make a LLSP (new name for ILL) at 3 PM if you can't enter the park until 3:55 PM or later? If the ILL time is for 3:00, can you come past your time?
Just curious, how long ago was this? 4 months ago when I was later than that (not on purpose of course) it turned greenI would not arrive more than 15 mins late to an ILL. Are the current rules different for the single and multi pass? It’s been reported here frequently that the grace period for the LLMP is 119 minutes, which we verified to be accurate several times a couple of weeks ago. I’ve never used a LLSP so I can’t verify the grace period on that version. Why would you make a LLSP (new name for ILL) at 3 PM if you can't enter the park until 3:55 PM or later?
Can it be done yes, but it is rude, and disrespectful to guests who are using their LLSP correctly within the normal return window.
As @gottalovepluto indicated the CM gets to decide if you get to pass since the Mickey head at the tapstile will be Blue.

One correction here: Guests returning outside of the grace period are who are at the mercy of the ride attendant. There is a grace period which is for exceptions, not planning to use. People planning on using the grace periods are still at the mercy of CM’s approving a guest to ride. People who plan to use the grace periods are a portion of the challenge we’re hearing about LL return lines are long thus lengthening standby waits too. It throws off the line metrix when guests arrive outside their return window
Did Mickey initially turn green or blue when you returned at 1 pm? There was a comment earlier in this thread about Mickey turning blue at 45 minutes after the reservation window at Guardians.I buy all ILLs for as early as possible. Just this week I had a 9:30am for Guardians and used it around 1:00pm. Never had any kind of issue doing this and I like the flexibility this way.
Dave - I’m not sure how using a lightning lane within the established parameters would be considered rude and disprestectful. Why would you make a LLSP (new name for ILL) at 3 PM if you can't enter the park until 3:55 PM or later?

For the 15 min grace period, yes. But but not necessarily the 119 min grace period discussed above. Not all LLs will turn green for 119 mins after a LL has expired. One correction here: Guests returning outside of the grace period are who are at the mercy of the ride attendant.
Guests returning within the grace period can automatically enter the attraction without question per the design of the system.
Yes, we did recently visit and used about 35 sets of LLMPs for our family of 8.For the 15 min grace period, yes. But but not necessarily the 119 min grace period discussed above. Not all LLs will turn green for 119 mins after a LL has expired.
I believe you recently visited WDW with LLMP? If so, when were you there and how many times did you attempt/enter a queue between +16 and +119 mins after your LL expired? Did your LL ever turn blue or always turn green because we’ve had some reports of the Mickey head turning blue.
For the single pass always green. I'm often 5+ hours late, I would guess about 30 different instances spread out across each available ride.Did Mickey initially turn green or blue when you returned at 1 pm? For Multi pass attractions, the current system design is set to green Mickey for any time less than 2 hours after the reservation window. I just can’t tell if the same grace period is in place for the single pass attractions.
That seems pretty consistent. For the single pass always green. I'm often 5+ hours late, I would guess about 30 different instances spread out across each available ride.
Again, that's just my experience with the Individual Lighning Lane.
