If your playing Pokemon I'm judging you...

I think it's a stupid waste of time. My husband, for example, spent 30 min driving around looking for Pokemon on his phone. Um yeah...aren't you NOT supposed to be playing a game while DRIVING?! Don't get me started on all of the people who just walk out in the middle of traffic and don't even look up from their cell phones because they are so focused on catching Pokemon.

I give it a week before somebody is hit by a car and sent to the hospital and the accident victim will blame the gaming company and there will be a lawsuit.

What the heck is this game? I don't know anything about it. I hope it is not dangerous.

You aren't suppose to play the game while driving. Every time you log in it specifically says be mindful of your surroundings while playing. Maybe you drive to a park or mall to play but you shouldn't play while driving.

The one thing I WAS curious about- a local private facility had a Pokémon Gym at it. They have the drive roped off and ALL kinds of signs forbidding people from coming on property.
The signs are new, but I can't swear the weren't there last week.
It did make me wonder - if they just randomly pick places against the establishments desire, it could be a real nightmare .
A local church and post office were also Poké Stops. They might not mind but neither have enough parking as is...and I don't know how many people they want going there after hours..

Stop liking what I don't like!!!

That's being said, my DH has been complaining about Pokemon folks for days now. Not because he doesn't like the game, but because he already plays a game called Ingress. Ingress uses the game engine that the Pokemon Go thing is based on and they have all the same "portals". He's annoyed that there's all these kids cluttering his Ingress haunts.

It was random but they tried to make it places people would naturally be going. You also don't have to be inside the building to activate the poke stop. That seems to be the confusion some players are having. The rules also state to respect private property. Biggest problem is the rules are on the website not the app.

Lol, my neighborhood is crawling with kids looking for Pokémon. My 5 year old isn't a fan of taking the dog for a walk when it is hot...guess who walked for an hour hunting Pokémon today. My dog loves Pokémon Go. I think its fun idea.

The concept to me isn't that much different from geocaching or scavenger hunts which have been around for years.

The phenomenon of people too caught up in their electronic devices to pay attention to their surroundings is also not new. :crutches:

And just to be judgy myself, I hope your avatar picture wasn't taken while driving, because I've heard that is dangerous too.
