I am not judging anyone for playing BUT I do think it is funny(not really) that people are getting ran over for not paying attention and walking into traffic like idiots and that some are getting robbed cause they are too dumb not to be lured by predators. I don't want anyone to be hurt but I do hope they learn their lesson and pay attention. Sure you get kids and adults off the sofa or bed and outside "exercising". But their face is so paralyzed by their phones to even look up and enjoy it.

I totally agree.

There is really no reason to be staring at the phone. And watching people do it, just annoys me.

And if you wouldn't go somewhere at 3am, why would you go to catch a Pokemon?

Very cute.

The point is that you don't need to walk while catching Pokemon. You can stay in one spot. When you phone buzzes, stop, look at your phone. THEN start walking again, after you can look up.

So this afternoon I was out playing Pokemon Go. I was doing laps around a one block of our downtown. I stopped in the middle of the sidewalk to catch a Pokemon. I was the ONLY person on the entire block so there was no reason for me to step to the side. After catching my Pokemon, I look up and there's a middle aged man coming right at me. He wasn't paying a bit of attention to where he was going because he was reading a piece of paper! I had to quickly take a large side step to the left to get out of his way. When I moved he finally noticed me and muttered an apology as he passed by.

I guess we need to ban paper too.....
