If your playing Pokemon I'm judging you...

I think it's a stupid waste of time. My husband, for example, spent 30 min driving around looking for Pokemon on his phone. Um yeah...aren't you NOT supposed to be playing a game while DRIVING?! Don't get me started on all of the people who just walk out in the middle of traffic and don't even look up from their cell phones because they are so focused on catching Pokemon.

.

Well he must be crawling around in his car then since the game doesn't work if you are over 20MPH!

Hey, we do important stuff here!!!!

Spreading the Toby Tyler love one Dis-er at a time.

And why do I laugh everytime I see or read Toby Tyler? EVERY STINKING TIME!!! And not just a tee-hee, a full on laugh. Why?!?!

You think it would get old, but it hasn't. :P

Judge away. I've judged for less.

Personally, I think it's genius. I have sat in on marketing and consumer insights meetings at my company, and it's amazing what people in these creative fields can come up with. I can just imagine someone at Pokemon saying "Ok guys, we need some innovation here - let's think outside the box. What's the #1 reason parents hate video games? It keeps their kids inside, rotting their brains and wasting their muscles away on a screen, right? So, let's do something about that. Let's find a way to get these kids OUTSIDE and exploring their neighborhood/surroundings. How can we do that AND make it fun for them?"

Voila! Pokemon Go!

Maybe people NEEDED something like this as a catalyst to snap them them back to reality so they remember how to properly walk down a street or breathe in that good old-fashioned fresh air. And above all, let's remember that *personal responsibility* for one's own actions, health, safety, and well-being, my dear, is still a "thing".

just sayin....

And if you don't know the difference between "your" and "you're" I'm judging you. And NOT in a good way.

Oh I'm sorry my grammar was not on point last night, it's called a "typo" and it comes from being irritated from sitting in traffic for 2HOURS while police ushered out the idiots who walked into a rotary yesterday to play this game...

Glad I'm not the only one who is judging!!! While I believe my judge was a good cause, (like I think YOU ARE a moron if you walk into the middle of the street to play an app, or need an app to go for a walk), I think YOUR judge was not, but to each his own.

I have to ask again are you 13?

I find it a bit odd that your post was so harsh, containing no explanation why this particular game is so terrible that you felt the need to judge anyone who was playing it, and now you are surprised that you were met with some resistance. Honestly, I could judge why it took 2 hours to clear out a rotary, immediately assuming that all of the drivers stuck there were not able to follow officers' instructions that woudl have cleared it in a timely manner.

Or, I could drift into the land of supposition.....and jump into that little thought that your irritation stemmed from a short inconvenience that ballooned as you posted your vent. Personally, I rarely care what other people do, but I tend to judge those who use words like "moron". I find words like that offensive. I do not like the word "idiot" either. You used both in this post....two of my least favorite words, and when I think about the person who uses both of them in one post, I wonder what other words that person uses in "normal" "casual" conversation to describe people. I bet you a buck there are more.

So now we're judging the judging.... This is fun!!

And I think I understand the rules as well....

You judge someone else = Good.

Someone else judges you = Bad.

Got it!

My judge was "a good" cause. Yours judge was not. What in the world does that even mean? Lol!

I know nothing about this game. But I do know that I have seen tons of children out and about in my neighborhood in the past three days. Kids of all ages. Yes. They are holding their phones up, but they are out walking for hours. I think that is pretty neat.

My DD family is out walking every night. SHe said one of the nicest things is finding a lot of families out as well. I guess that there is a lot in the Center so the little shops there are benefiting as well......you walk and see our local ice Cream shop or the coffee shop....well....... They are enjoying an increase in evening business.

Yeah, that made me laugh too!

Honestly I think its awesome. i haven't seen anyone being unsafe. Then again our area is really quite friendly to pedestrians and there are easy ways to get everywhere.

We even have a few pokestops you couldn't possibly drive to. There is one in the middle of a bike trail. The only people that can drive to that are the emergency workers that have the keys to unlock the gates at the ends of the bike trail (the trail is paved for walking and biking over what used to be a railway line, its wide enough for a car if someone ever breaks a leg on the trail and needs an ambulance but no one else can drive there).

(like I think YOU ARE a moron if you walk into the middle of the street to play an app, or need an app to go for a walk),

I use a FitBit. I actually hate to walk without it. I have increased my activity and am in better shape because of the data the FitBit downloads. My friends and I do competitions. It is a ton of fun.

Just for the record, does that qualify me as a moron?

I could see that. I went to the city next to ours last night with DH to play and they have a lot of little city artists that have an art walk set up. Most of the murals etc are poke stops so its getting people out and seeing them more as well.
