We are planning a cruise on the dream in 2011. We are going to fly in the morning before & stay at a WDW resort. We will then leaving for the ship the next day. So we are looking for a fun resort with fun pool area. We will not be going to any parks. There will be 5 adults & 2 children. ANy suggestions?

Also, we just stayed at AKL kidani village dec 1-10. We loved it but wanna see other places too. Thanks in advance

Best pool is at the Beach Club/Yacht Club. You can also see some of the high fireworks from Illuminations from just outside Epcot, and the Boardwalk area is a fun place to hang out.

If you hadn't stayed at AKL, I would have suggested that for the experience.

For just one night, why not try the Grand Floridian, the Polynesian, or the Contemporary? All monorail resorts with great views of Wishes fireworks from the resorts. If the pool is the #1 priority, then the previous poster is right. The BC/YC resort complex has an amazing pool. The Boardwalk is not far behind. Any of the Epcot resorts would be great choices.

The Yacht/Beach Club definitely has the best pool.
The pools at the Wilderness Lodge and Polynesian are gorgeous as well though. Obviously the Animal Kingdom Lodge pool is gorgeous, but you'll already stayed there.

With 7 people you would need 2 rooms or a villa. So for a MK resort either 2 rooms at Poly, GF, CR, or WL or a villa at BLT or WLV.
Epcot resorts all have DVC too. YC/BC villas have Stormalong Bay, no wrong choices here!
