Jen already knows this but had to tell the rest of you, my DSis Emma phoned last night and announced that her and her family (my 2 baby nephews!!!) will be moving to NYC asap I told the girls a few hours ago lets just say they weren't happy!!!!!

So we had a wicked scare today. At about 12:30 I get a call from Gabby and she said that Chloe is "doing the same thing she did on the way to Arizona". Let me back up for you. On the way to Az, at about the Hoover Dam, Chloe woke up from sleeping, the rt side of her face was numb, she was drooling, and was unable to speak clearly. I pulled over, called DH who is a paramedic and he said it sounds like her face just fell asleep. As soon as it started, it was over. Nothing else until today..........

Gab called told me what happened and the only difference today is that she was fully awake so it couldn't be a nerve thing. I called DH, we met the sitter at the ER, they did a CT scan, it came out clear however her Endo wants us to f/u with a Pediatric Neurologist. Because of her shotty and scary medical history, we can never be too safe. Our endo gave us some names up at Primary Children's Med Center and said that it usually takes 3-4 months to get in. I called and they can see her August 4th. He doesn't feel it's anything serious, at this point, and neither did the ER doc but because she has had so many med issues, it's best to be proactive. I knew knew knew as her mother that the prior incident was not just her face falling asleep. I should have listened to my gut.

The scan was clear, no stroke or tumor. The ER doc called it migraine with neuro deficiency. She had all of the migraine symptoms sans the actual headache. He didn't know what to call it. I thought for sure she was throwing tiny clots. Thankfully, she was not.

So say a little prayer please for my baby.

Jon has had some very similar things go on. Just remember...our little kidlets are troopers...and she will be fine. I know it.

From your mouth to a higher power's ears. How much are our babies supposed to endure? I will let you know as soon as I hear. The funny thing is is that she's playing outside with Josh and Gab, I am ready to go inpatient.

Very interesting and she is constantly going through small growth spurts so it makes sense. Her endo initially thought it was due to a drop in blood sugar but clearly that's not the case. Michael is going to monitor her glucose levels though. I will print the article and bring it with me to the Neurologist. Thank you.

Thanks Bevily. I am so emotionally drained. We ate dinner when all the dust settled and then the kids went outside to play. Chloe appears so totally unaffected by it all. Her tolerance for doctors and such has grown. She did say though: Primary is where I get a Barbie dolls, right? It's says something when she recognizes the medical facilities by the prize they hand out. They came in from outside and put on a movie. She is going to sleep with me tonight though.
