In July,I am taking my 4 kids-8,10,12,and 14 and my daughter's 14 year old friend to Disney World for 5 days. This is our first trip in 7 years and maybe our last as my kids are becoming teenagers and I would like to make it as special as possible without breaking by budget completely.I have budgeted and reserved an Illuminations cruise and a character meal, but I would like some other suggestions as to how I can make this trip one they will always remember.Thanks.

Let them help in the planning of the day's activities. This way they will get to do the things they really want to do. I think a trip to Disney is sooo special in itself that you've already got that one in the bag.

If you're staying on-site you could try an E-ride night. the kids will get a kick out of staying up until 1:00am.

At this age, they'll probably also like one of the water parks (Blizard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon).

While in epcot try eating around the world. My kids love to do this and don't forget to get beavertails in Canada and ask them to sing you the beavertail song! Teppanaki is a fun place to eat with the kids the chef cooks for you at the table where you are sitting and is very entertaining. Order the kids meals. I was even able to do this and it was plenty of food. I've even heard where people split meals at this Restaurant.

Don't forget to look for hidden Mickeys. crushed pennies are fun and if you have time try DQ.

Before your Illuminations cruise ask for Captain Ron he was really good.

I won't count on this being your last trip because as you can see my kids are a lot older then yours and they still want to come.

Ask to ride up front on the monorail.

All the rides are awesome especially TOT and RRC in MGM. Don't miss the millionaire game either or the drawing class in mgm and please stay to see fantasmic.

There is so much at the parks that they will enjoy get a great planning book and have them check out the different rides and shows they want to see. You will find out that planning a trip with them is half the fun. Enjoy yourself and enjoy your kids. Gina:wave2:
