Easter bunny...tooth fairies...it is amazing that we can keep all these lies straight...

One morning my DS woke up and came into our room VERY VERY sad. I asked what was wrong and he said, "The tooth fairy didn't come". Being the typical mom that I was...I fell asleep before the switcheroo. OMG! I told him maybe he was awake when she came (gave DH the look) and told him to check the other beds b/c she probably left the money under someone else's pillow and would come back another night for the tooth.

:confused3 :confused3

I did the same thing with dd!! Except she has a tendancy to come to our bed in the middle of the night. While I was in the shower, she came in crying because the tooth fairy didn't come....I quickly told her that the tooth fairy didn't think she was home because she wasn't in her bed, and that maybe she would come while she was in the shower. She yelled, "Hurry up Mommy, she's probably on her way right now!!

another forgetful toothfairy skips our house occasionally too...Quick thinking excuse, one morning - "dd, you're room is soo messy, she'd hurt herself trying to come in in the dark"(sometimes truth is a good thing - ) - dd was as equally quick - "but mom - fairies fly" - my reply: - "nope, the ceiling fans were on - she would have been hurt" :rotfl2:

I have another one!

When dd was 7, she complained off and on for a couple of weeks about a headache here, a tummy ache there. Never enough to worry me.

Finally, it got worse, she was getting really cranky and saying her stomach hurt pretty bad, so we went to the doctor. The doctor asked if her throat hurt, and she answered "a little bit". (Never enough to mention to me before that).

The doctor took one look in her throat and said that not only did she have strep, but it was so bad, her throat was so swollen and puss-filled (:crazy2: sorry!) he was afraid it would close up before the usual Amoxicillan would have kicked in. So she had to have a shot of penicillan in her bottom immediately.

Now I know to look in her throat when she has a tummy ache. :sad2:
