Just a note up front that I am posting under a different name to protect the innocent. I'm Episcopal and have been for many years. This controversy has been going on for at least 3 years. 3 Years ago when a gay bishop was consecrated talk has gone on about a split. In our church there was heated debate one Sunday about the consecration of Bishop Robinson and the conservatives wanting to condem and the liberals wanting to embrace it. This woman stood up to speak and what came out of her mouth made me want to fall out of the pew crying (for her ignorance) and laughing (at her nerve). She is Miss Hoity Toity to our family. So she stood up (with a straight face) and says "Well we would NEVER allow our children to EVER be taught by a homosexual! So I can't support having a Bishop who is gay." She went on to say she knew how to pick out gay people. Well here's a huge surprise for her. One maybe two people on the staff are gay!! Guess her gaydar wasn't working that day. I am disgusted by this intolerance. The 2 people in question are hard working ordinary peopl who have shared their God given gifts with us and I wouldn't trade them for the world. As far as the sinnning goes-I don't judge-"It's not my area".

Legally, one is a minor when one is not yet 18. That was my point. I can't say when one stops being a child per se, but I can only have my opinion about it. Some parents think it never comes!
