I Need Cheering Up-Waitlisted!!! BOO!

I booked DAILY and got all but a couple of nights on an extra studio BCV and a 2BR BCV for mom and family October 1-7. Went on waitlist. Within days, I was please to find (online) that my reservation was completely fulfilled

Where online can you see if your reservation waitlist has cleared or not? I looked on the DVC site, and I don't see that option anywhere.

We too are waiting for some nights of a week's stay to clear at BCV. Sigh!

After you log in on the DVC home page, http://dvc.disney.go.com/dvc/member/memberHome.
Run cursor over My DVC in upper left hand corner, then click on points, then go down the page and click use year, or something like that, and it will show you all your reservation that you have in the system. It is not working right now, or I would tell step by step how to do it, but it was working early today. Hope this helps.

I called member services today and am also wait listed for BCV (we are booked at BWV, not complaining) for our trip in May. The CM told me that those room we're all waitlisted on start becoming available 31 days from the reserved date. That's when people need to cancel so they don't get hit with the big painful penalities. Hope that makes you feel better. Explained alot to me.

Don't give up hope. When we initially booked last May for f&w none of our days were available. We waitlisted and within two weeks we had strung together most of the days. The next few months completed our reservation.
As long as you have some reservations (without unneccessary switching) you have a place to stay...it can only get better from here !!

There is also a cruise I believe that is wrapped around that same time period as the F&W fest, DVC cruise I believe, (snip) This is an exceptionally busy week (snip)

You're correct, NYBlue1, the 2006 DVC Members' Cruise departs October 22nd, returning on October 26th. Probably lots of people extending their vacation with time at the resorts either before, after, or bracketing the cruise.
We're booked at SSR and on the waitlist for BWV.
