I have never stayed at the BCV, but hope to one day. It looks like an amazing resort.

So why has it been getting such a bad rap lately.

Well this is my answer to the negative reports. I ask you all to feel free to finish the statement in the subject thread. Tell everyone why you love the BCV. Feel free to include some of the great experiences you have had at BCV.

Maybe this can become a thread that will long be used by those contemplating purchasing or staying at BCV.

Only one rule to this thread - Positive reports only.

If you think this is a good idea, please do one of two things:

a) Respond to this post
b) Start another thread for one of the other great DVC resorts.

Just trying to turn the tide.

** How could I have forgotten Art?

1. SAB is the best pool on property

2. The location -- so close to Epcot and easy walk to BW, great dining, MGM and Fantasia Golf

3. The Theme

I love the BCV because:

1 - Location, location and location

2 - SAB

3 - I do not have to hike to the parking lot

4 - Art is just such a sweetie and it is so nice to be welcomed home by him.

5 - The location of the back elevator.

I love BCV because: It is a beautiful resort! We love the theming! We also love the location (quick walk to Epcot), we love SAB, we love B&C, we love the boat ride to MGM. We have always had a clean room and everyone there has always been very friendly! It is our home resort, and we have been very happy with our decision!

Everything Jack'smom said. It just feels nice to be there. I even like the alligator.

Because I am buying a resale there (anxiously awaiting ROFR). I can't wait to see the place!!!!

I like having my own wing just for DVCers, secluded and away from the rush and bustle of the parks--and yet two parks are a short walk away.

I like the east coast beach theme and color scheme, which I find very relaxing.

I like the sand at SAB and the way it's spread out so you can wander from one area to another.

I like a resort so informal and unpretentious that the walk to the pool takes you right through the lobby.

I love BCV

Stormalong Bay
Beaches and Cream
HANNAHS GRILL
VIEW OF THE BOARDWALK
walk to EPCOT
BOAT TO DISNEY MGM
EPCOT FIREWORKS every night from my balcony
short walk to lobby and general store
SHIP SHAPE
VALET PARKING
CLOSE WALK FROM SELF PARKING
ROOM SERVICE, unusual for a VILLA

Its thumbs up, for all the Great things about this resort, SAB Pool, Location to Epcot, MGM along with all the Great Food available. Friendly surroundings along with a very clean and well kept resort.

Glad to be apart of the DVC Resort, looking forward to being there in just 2 weeks.

We love BCV for all the same reasons that everyone else has said, short walk to Epcot, boat ride to MGM, great view and short distance to Boardwalk, SAB is the ,IMHO, best pool around, B&C. We are from Jersey and very close to the Jersey shore, so we think the themeing is just perfect. We have truley always been Poly people and have always loved it there, always said it was our little spot of Heaven, but BCV is running neck and neck. We love it there.

As soon as we got into our studio room, DH said "I really like the furnishings, this is very nice!" There was nothing about our stay there that either of us would change!

Besides we own at BCV, the SAB, the easy walk to epcot, the boat ride to MGM, Beaches and Cream, watching the fireworks from your balcony, eating and shopping at the boardwalk. the parking lot is so close to the villas, you dont have to valet your car all the time. Art the welcome home gentleman that is in the the entrance saying "lady" "gentleman" with a smile on his face.::yes::

I love BCV because:
(1) The colors of the resort are beautiful.

(2) Check-in staff are super-friendly, as are all other CMs we encountered here.

(3) Stormalong Bay is such an amazing pool! It's actually difficult to classify this as a pool....it's almost like a water park within the resort!

(4) The Jib slide is awesome!

(5) The proximity to Epcot's World Showcase and MGM Studios can't be beat.

(6) Beaches n Cream has AMAZING ice cream! We ate the kitchen sink and a couple of butterscotch sundays during our last stay.

(7) This resort area is beyond beautiful for words when it is lit up at night. Breathtaking.

(8) The layout of the resort is easy to figure out and not too spread apart.

(9) Art the lobby greater is our own personal celebrity at the BC! Hubby's only regret from this trip is that he didn't get to pin trade with Art.

(10) I love the theming -- old-time beach, Cape May-ish reminds me so much of growing up and the years we'd spend at the Jersey Shore. It really takes me back to such a happy time!

I will debate with anyone, the most desirable place to stay at WDW is not grand Floridian, but the Yacht and beach club hotel and beach club villas.

We joined at OKW in '93 and stayed there for many years. Then in July of '02 when BCV open, we booked a stay there for 7 nights on the 2nd week it was open. We just loved the location, SAB, being able to park close to the room, and so close to our favorite place to eat is all of WDW, the Cape May Cafe for the Clam Bake. Well we enjoyed it so much we add 150 points there. Oh, we still go to OKW and VWL, we added there too, but BCV is just a special place for us.

I know this thread is about BVC, but we do enjoy ALL the DVC resorts, it's just BCV is now our favorite "home a way from home".

So many reasons!
1. closest resort to my favorite park-Epcot. I love that I can run back to my room for a sweater if it gets cool, aspirin if I have a headache,-it's so close!
2. Overall beach theme
3. Some of the nicest CMs I've met at Disney-especially Art the Greeter and the nice man from bell services who brought up my luggage once.
4. The rocking chairs on the front/back deck
5. The beach in front/back of the resort, and especially the swings there.
6. Proximity to Beaches and Cream
7. The sandy pool area where I can walk around barefoot

There might be more, but that's enough for now!

Ditto to what everyone else said, plus....

IT'S MY HOME RESORT....love the 11 month window.
