Got $200 worth of Target gift cards. Hmmm....maybe should have gotten more???
I did do card match but only the blue amex showed up. not sure what tricks are out there to find one.have u tried the cashmatch route? including all the tricks that u can attempted?
Find out when the expiration date is on that Lux. Id keep trying to pull the amex plat until the last minute before the Lux expires... 125k is SPG lux's highest offer to date. I think its worth it, others may not though lol.
Can someone please tell me what happens with the purchase insurance (this is for a laptop) if we purchase it with a Biz Plat and then downgrade the card in a year to a free business card? Do we then lose the benefits? Trying to figure out what card to put the spend on, but the plat still has an MSR to meet.
Not sure in the same boat got the JB biz in October and no sure when/if to pull the trigger on arrival + for DHI really want to apply for the 70K bonus on the Arrival+ but don't want to mess up my chances of getting it by pulling the trigger too soon. I got the AA Biz on 10/26 (my first and only Barclays card) and I am 4/24. Should I wait until it's been 60 days? I'll also be down to 3/24 if I wait, I have a card dropping off on 12/21. I hate that there's no expiration date on the 70K offer!
As a preliminary matter, there is no AF-free downgrade option for the Biz Plat. You can product change it to a Biz Gold or Biz Green, both of which are charge cards and have AFs ($295 and $95, respectively). You can’t downgrade a Biz Plat (charge card) to the BBP (credit card).
I believe if you make the purchase on the Biz Plat, then PC the Biz Plat, you’ll retain the extended warranty protection; but you’ll lose the benefit if you cancel the card.
Thanks so much for your quick response. Might have to just put it on a keeper card, although we've never used the protection from a card so it might be a waste. But the info helps in figuring it out. I have a couple more days to decide.
For the CSR holders who have Calendar year travel credits (rather than the anniversary year), DoC is reporting a change of the reset to be Jan instead of Dec -
CSR changes renewal date of 300 travel credit
Requires what MSR? $5 mil? BRB quitting job to MS full time this year...![]()
edit: sorry, had to do it...![]()
Wait, arriving at park opening isn't the best rope drop plan?Ok - so this is WAY OFF TOPIC but I just have to share this with you guys... I assume some of you here are fans of EasyWDW and Josh (I think he's amazing personally).

I know that we have a number of Disney Touring gurus here in our midst...With people like this still on the prowl, I don't think we have to worry about everybody figuring out our secrets HAHA!
The holidays with no MSR sounds rough tbh but I’m glad you’re trying to find contentment in itI just realized something strange...I am without an MSR right now...and I'm not upset about it. Many of you will probably recall my not-so-humble-brags about not being without an MSR since early 2015. Well that streak appears to be over.
The no URs for Disney hotels issue really through a major wrench in my plans. Instead of redeeming URs for a trip, it suddenly prompted me to need to source $4,500 in Disney GCs. That amount of spend just wasn't in the plan (and as you all know...I always am working the plan, lol).
I'm 3 months away from being <5/24. (Just to pause on that for a moment...As of Oct 2017, I had gotten 34 cards in the previous 24 months in my name...and I somehow have not gotten a card in my name since...13 months sober...LOL!) The plan obviously calls for me to snag a shiny CIP card as soon as I can.
We took that AMEX BCP upgrade offer for my wife and then crushed that MSR with reg. expenses and a slew of Disney GCs. I grabbed a CIU for her 2 weeks ago and then obliterated that MSR with Disney GCs. Of course the AMEX PopUp is a snag as a $5k MSR on a Schwab Plat would be just the medicine that the Dr. prescribed.
At any rate...here I sit, with no MSR...at least for a month, and potentially for 3 months. I'm going to keep earning that sweet 6% cashback on the BCP card. The majority of our expenses right now will either directly be Grocery, at a store I can buy a GC for at the Grocery store, or in some rare cases I'll buy a VGC at the Grocery store and use that. Other random little stuff is going on my wife's Hilton, Delta Biz and BBP cards to try to scare away the PopUp RAT. I can't say I'm super excited about only getting 6% back BUT my wife has gotten 4 Chase cards in the past 8 months and I think the prudent decision is to be calm and patient for 3 months. Slow churning is the life guys...I'm trying to embrace it as best I can![]()
But Josh...I swear I was at the Friendship Boat dock by 8:55am for the 9am opening...how did this possibly backfire???Wait, arriving at park opening isn't the best rope drop plan?![]()
