Someone, help my tired brain...I'm looking at Disney tix. I was trying to figure out the cost without calling. Is there a multiplier I can use to see how much tix would be using UR points through the CSR? It always seems to be about 30% off for hotels.

Are there any cons to opening a business card with an SSN as a sole proprietor? I am contemplating my next card 2-3 months down the line after the 2 Sapphires (will be 2/24).

I currently hold 4 business cards (Chase Ink Plus business, SPG business, Barclay Aviator business, Amex Blue Business) that I opened using my ss# as a sole proprietor with a "business". I have opened 2 other business cards (Amex Plat business, Delta Plat business) just for the bonus and have since cancelled in addition to the ones I am currently holding and keeping. DH has done the same but kept the Amex Plat business and has the Citi AA business instead of the Barclay one for the moment. No issues, just more points and perks.

Glad to hear it worked out for both. Hopefully I have the same luck. I can use my laptop for one and then go to the desktop for the other if it works better than incognito.

Thank you, I can't wait to see what happens!

I only have one other Chase card and it is the Disney Visa. It was automatically approved 2+ years ago with a $15,000 CL. I have never charged anything close to that much on that card. Hopefully it doesn't affect my chances. I would be fine dropping it down if it helps the second come through. I have no intentions of keeping the CSP and will product change it to a freedom card after the first year so even the minimum $5,000 CL would suffice.

Glad to hear another double dip was automatically approved. I hope I am lucky enough! I will make sure to see the first approval. When I did the Disney Visa it told me immediately in the web browser. Is that the same process for the CSR if you are automatically approved? Or do you have to wait for an e-mail or something?
It will tell you on the web as soon as you apply either congratulations your approved or we will notify you in 30 days

Oh I need to double check. thx! I sure did have once per household in my head.

Off the top of my head, the only once-per-household bank bonus I'm aware of is Fulton Bank. I'm sure there are more, but I'm not aware of them because they're not available in my area anyway.

I just double-checked and SunTrust is definitely not one of them - neither personal nor business. However, it's worth pointing out the personal bonus has fallen to $300 (from $500), so it might be worthwhile to wait this one out. The promos expire and start again every few months, so maybe it will go back up on the next round.

Asking for Plastiq help with the CiP. We have Wells Fargo mortgage which seems like it will be hard to disguise. Any suggestions. I read the r/dischurner explanation but am having trouble putting it into practice. Do I call to find out which cashier in terms of the “attn cashier name” suggestion?

Also, is there a Plastiq member referral code list?
If you need help pm me as I don’t like posting In detail on here since anyone can see it.
Can’t remember if I put the details on our reddit post but I know I put the name there.

I know there are some MDers, N VAers on board. DCA and IAD are both significantly cheaper than BWI for our trip to FL in Sept. We’ve flown out of IAD before but it was an international flight. Any preference between the two. We would be staying near the airport on Fri night since they are early flights and we live 2 hours from (MD/PA line area). DCA is a tad closer for us. Any opinions between the two? It will save me 15k SW RR. Why, oh why did I check...
If you were willing to get a ride to the airport or renting a car. We found dca going out and bwi coming back to be cheap. Got 39-44 dca to mco. 118 mco bwi the outbound at bwi to mco sane date and time was 89-130 depending on when you booked.
Dulles never had cheaper flights they were similar to dca released prices never saw them drop much.

I know it may or may not be a hard pull since I will already be opening 2 cards with Chase. It also looks like the Chase business cards do not actually get reported on the personal credit report. Is that correct? Would a Chase business account impact my utilization and/or average account age?

I also plan on opening a personal Chase savings and checking account, but I am not sure when the best time is. The current offer I have says it is good through 10/13, but I have been getting them for well over a year. IDK if 2 personal cards, 1 business card, and 2 personal accounts will be too much activity with Chase and potentially raise a red flag.
I think you would be fine doing the CIP after you are almost finished your double dip spends.

as far as I know no cons to opening a business card with your name and SS number...I opened the CIP in May with no issues....

Divide by .015 like speedyfishy said. I looked up my ticket costs on the disney site and decided by .015 and was spot on.

Not caught up here - We spent a relaxing weekend in Maine in a place so remote we didn't have any phone/internet. But I had to share my DP that I finally got approved for the Amex Biz Green after it was reviewed by the executive team! I will probably refer DH to that card today, but I will not be going for the BGR self-referral.

I just called Amex concierge to see if they could get me a reservation for California Grill during the fireworks and a pre park opening breakfast at Garden Grill. My last minute trip is in September and they weren’t showing availability. I’m curious to see if they can get me reservations.

I also requested Club 33 when I’m at Disneyland. Not expecting that lol but I read online that they were able to do it years ago, but it stopped.

All the talk earlier of Amex offers and I just realized I ordered a backpack for DS earlier today and I had an eBag offer on my Amex. I didn’t use my Amex. I don’t know how everyone keeps these straight. I didn’t spend $75 but I could have added something. Lol. Got to spend money to save money.

Got to spend money to save money....I was in White House Black Market a couple of weeks ago pawing through their markdowns. On the way in I spotted a black dress with a small floral on it for maybe $85. So, I'm looking for something around $20 to put me over $100 so I can use my $20 off $100 coupon. I find a top that's just under $20 and head for the cash and the total comes up to $96 without my coupon! Trying to keep this straight - I say hold up - how much was the dress? Oh, it had a discount also, which was good but now I had to spend more money to save my $20. Found another top, which in my mind was 'free' and my total spend dropped below $90 after applying coupon. If I'd been paying attention to the actual cost of the dress which I wanted, I would have spent closer to $80 and saved a bit more instead of buying 3 items. But, I really like all 3 items which helped refresh my summer choices.

Since I have a couple of new cards in hand, I should drop by there this afternoon......

Awesome! I've been thinking about your app. Thanks for following up.

You can never have too many packing cubes.

was gonna use my spg biz to refer DH,and get the extra 20k....any downside to this? do we still get the Af waived first year? also triple checking that it doesn't mess with 5/24... now that the cards are combining or overlapping programs I'm getting concerned over the 5/24 on chase's side of things.... Oh..... if I'm an Au on some of DH's Amex accts, does that count against my 5 amex cards rule? Must I call in to ask this? IDK...thanks ETA...... now I'm getting really crazy here with all this fast moving info...... what if I could get Dh the Marr. Biz NOW,and in a few days refer him to the Amex SPG Biz? is that even realistic? (would they approve this?) We've never had a credit issue in the past, but this is faster than I usually play..... (and still keep his accts clear for the swa CP I need later this year, again, he'll be 4/24 by November) I need to make a decision! I could always go for the Lux myself later on too since I've never had the Marriott product

I actually think I do have too many packing cubes. Lol I bought 5 sets of different colors last year plus I think maybe different sizes. I used them to organize our luggage by days with each of us having our own colored cubes on our trip out west. My kids hated them. I think mostly because they had to share suitcases. I’m the only one who still uses them.

Raise has a 5% off certain brands sale today with code BESTDRESSED

I should really figure out how much in Hotels.com gift cards I need, it's getting too close to keep waiting on an Amazon deal (plus that's not enough anyways)

Before I get off topic, anyone get any good AMEX deals lately? I'm not seeing much for the past few days and I am wondering if it's AMEX or just me not getting targeted.

We looked into this for our upcoming cruise but couldn't find any science behind any of it, so DD and DH passed. I plan on using the patch.

I can't either. Ever. Ugh. Even with town car/limo trips to the airport I politely have to ask them to put their stuff in the trunk so I can sit in the front.

Yikes. I was sick but kept it in, which was tough. I told DH to take care of our DD who was young and very adventurous, and kept having to push my DM away when she kept telling me to eat something and that might make me feel better. She said I actually looked green. Never again. And this was with taking Bonine both the night before and the day of. DD and DH did the amazing night snorkel with manta rays trip in Kona a few years ago and I passed. When they came back they said I had made the right decision.
I'm glad ya'll posted these warnings.... I will def. avoid those tours when in Maui!

Anyone know how long I need to wait between Barclays apps? Approved for Aviator biz on 7/17 and want to get the personal now.
