Has anyone traded in their old Apple products? This is on my to-do list in the next week but I'm not sure what I should do to prepare. I have a few MacBooks and a few iPads, all of which are assorted family members (kids mostly). Should I have them log in and reset to factory settings? Will I need to be able to log in to their Apple accounts? Any other tips?

I don't trade in. I usually sell to www.gazelle.com. I thought they had instructions on their website for re-setting devices, but I don't see them. Maybe they included instructions when they sent me the box for shipping the item to them.

One time, I wanted to get a new tablet. I checked https://www.bestbuy.com/trade-in and they were offering a lot for my old iPad. I think it was so old, it had special value. I recall that they gave me a gift card, not cash, but I did it in the store. I gave them the old iPad, they gave me the gift card, and then I went over to the sales floor and found the new tablet that I wanted and used the gift card toward the purchase price.

It's the same offer as on the Amex website. I've had the card for a few years in the past til they upped the fee. The credits make you jump around every month to be able to max them out, so I'd say with the 100k sub I'd get it and only keep for a year, but that's just me. Amex would then hate me for closing it. (pop ups)

Now, if you can spend a lot on groceries 4x isn't bad, but I beat that by using Visa gift cards that I buy with my CIC at 5% while on sale at Staples.

So bottom line is if you want MR's for travel. I prefer earning UR's.
I don't find the grocery thing too exciting since there are other ways to save on that.... is 100k MR worth the effort? I'll go do some more research but I also prefer UR in general

I wonder if SW is done with schedule changes, I don't think there's been one since July. I was hoping to change our spring break flights for free, but looks like I'll have to use more points to change to the flight I need. The only good thing is that prices keep dropping. They had some really good sales for this year recently, so I'm wondering if I should hold off until Jan to make any changes, hoping for a better sale.

I had changes to March flights ISP-MCO about 3-4 weeks ago

I bought tickets on Breeze (booked Nicer tickets) to take DD to visit my mom before DD starts her job. I love that Breeze has a non-stop between Richmond and Fort Myers and the price is decent. I think for the most part my SW days are behind me (although we're using them this weekend to fly to Chicago).

We love Breeze. Super cheap flights. FYI you can book once a week at the airport ticket counter and save quite a bit of money.

I'm tempted to cancel and rebook on Tuesday to save $124. But now that I know, I will definitely see if I can do this going forward. Thanks for the information!

New offer on my Chase SW cards this morning…spend at least $50 at a Home Improvement store and get 10% back up to $15 one time use. Home Depo is close and carries Disney GCs so will buy $150 on each SW card.
Thanks for the tip! Got it on both of our SW bus cards, one of which we're also working on MSR, so it's a double thumbs up there. :-)

Last time my DH and I traded in our iPhones for $800 credit on brand new phones, they tried to claim that something was wrong with one of the phones and they weren’t going to give us the credit for it, nor would they give the phone back to us. We had to fight with them for the credit, and I remember it being stressful and like an “appeals” process, all the while kind of shady too. What they were claiming was wrong was definitely not, and I had to start getting kind of ugly with them. Maybe it’s because we had to ship the phones to them that they tried to pull one over on us, but next time I would 1) make sure to take pics and video of the phone powered and working before shipping it out, and 2) take it to a store to trade in, if possible.

Are there any experts out there for the CSR upgrade/downgrade process? I’m thinking of closing my DH’s CSR, but I was hoping to use the $300 TC first. When I look at his account, I don’t see a counter like I did previously showing the $300 and how much had been spent so far. Does that mean it hasn’t reset yet? The AF hit and the payment is due on 1/13, and the next closing date is 1/16. I sent an SM to ask but they gave very generic answers as far as dates, saying the TC will reset on the 1st statement after the enrollment date (date card was opened). Am I missing something with how the process to double-dip should work? Thanks for any help!

If you go online. Click on this account. There are a few boxes that show up. Click on the one that says "More" and go to Card Benefits. It should show the $300 Travel Credit there. Mine says " Redeemed" as I just used it last month. Should be more info there.

A question and a heads up. Has anyone ever notice Chase offers not being loaded after you have loaded them? Today I noticed all of my Smiths (Kroger) offers were not added anymore and I know for a fact I added them.

Okay, so I'm not going off the deep end. I am sure that offers are not always sticking when added. I'm sure I occasionally make mistakes. But, it had occurred to me a few times that I'd loaded the same offers more than once, like the day before.

The other issue I had was my OD/OM offers. I had 7 and used them for Disney gift cards. One didn't credit so I kept watching for it. Then went into offers and it wasn't added. It's absolutely possible I missed adding it even though I'd spotted it. So, I added it several days before its expiration before paying the charge. Still didn't credit and I let it go.

I don't load every offer. I skip ones I will not ever use such as Safelite windshields. Yes, I've had to replace multiple windshields and I've used them once and they've done a decent job, but I have a shop I prefer.

Nope you aren’t losing it. I also don’t add what I don’t want. But I know I added them because I click to add and copy the terms to keep in my notes. I was really surprised when they weren’t added on any cards anymore. I even had the newest expire date updated on my notes to cross reference.

I've been wondering the same.... mine says 'redeemed' from last Dec 18, and when I click on it,no more info- Now mine was CSP PC 12/23 and I didn't pay AF till spring sometime, but I DEFINITELY want to PC back to CSP....and since it's been a year, I think I have to do that within the next 30 days, right? ETA to avoid the AF? or will AF be charged again in spring? (along with new TC?) this is confusing

I have some things I would like to buy at Costco, like gift cards and a TV. But I also have some AMEX SUB spend I need to do on an AMEX Business Platinum. Any advice? Buy Visa gift cards somewhere else with AMEX and then use those at Costco?
