Question, it's been awhile since I have had a barclays card. Do you have to call to cancel, or do they have a way to do it online?
LOL, Barclays website is awful. If there is a way to cancel online, I've never found it! The last cards we had (Personal and Biz AA cards), we had to call to cancel.

I know we have had several in the past, and I know p2 has never called to cancel a card, maybe things have changed.

I see the Barclays card doesn't really help with a new MSR LOL. It's was 5 years in July since my last Citi AA biz, so likely closed in July 2020, I would be good for a new one now?

This is from DoC for 70k.

This is part of why I'm leaning towards doing the AA card now and hoping the Hawaiian biz goes back up again. This may make more sense for me, at least for now. I think. I can't decide which is why I still haven't apped for one.
This is correct, get the link from DoC.
Thinking about getting Hawaiian too soon, as we would use it for Alaska
I'm only seeing 60k bonus. Where are you seeing 70k? This is for Barclays Aviator Red card, right?
Doc link mentioned above. See if you can call and have them match the sign up bonus. DoC says that they sometimes do.

I know you can cancel the AA Citi card over the phone via the automated machine, without talking to a person. We just did that recently. But Barclays I believe we have called every time. I'd be interested to know if anyone found a way to do this online also!

Ugh. Used a Chase offer for $20 back on YouTube TV (one time). Worked fine. Then switched over to an Amex offer for $20 back, 3 times, and the first charge is pending as 'Google Services'. Wonder if it will credit, google does own youtube.

48 months since you got your last bonus. You should be good to go. If you have a spot, the personal card is at a high of 75K miles.
p2 is a 0/24 I am 3/24, but one will fall off in mid October.
I would love to get for p2, but hate them having to call to cancel. Can't remember how I closed all those in the past, because I know he did not call.
I was originally thinking Citi biz, to keep the x/24 down further, or using one of those for Barclays and then do the Citi biz.

I have a budget cell phone carrier. Visible Wireless. Amex Biz Platinum did not credit for the wireless credit, I enrolled prior to the charge posting. Huge bummer since I really factored that $120 a year into my is it worth the $695 AF decision.

It doesn't surprise me any. The terms specifically call out that prepaid is not an eligible purchase and that resellers are not an eligible purchase. If you're not already aware, credit card cell phone insurance won't cover you either. Learned that one the hard way with my CFF and Total by Verizon.
Unless something has changed within the last 30 days Visible should trigger the credit. DW and I have had Visible for around 2 years and she has 2 Amex biz platinums and we have always gotten the credit. The 22nd of the month is normally when I see my credit. For September that was Sunday and as of now I haven't seen the credit so maybe it did change but we'll see. Normally Visible has triggered the credit.

Back from 2 weeks in California and Oregon. I changed my avatar to Yosemite. It was great. I hit up 4 NPs - Yosemite, Lassen Volcanic, Redwoods and Crater Lake. Up to 31 NPs, 60+ units counting NMs, NHS, ... I had great weather - missing any of the heat waves or snow! I'll have to go back as I skipped Sequoia and Kings Canyon due to fires.

Churning related, I met the MSR on my Venture card (and used the $250 credit on the rental car), thanks to high gas prices in California and putting 2,300 miles on the rental. Used up 3 IHG FNCs.

Would love to hear what NPs you liked best on this trip... all of those are on my list, as we're also trying to make it to all 63 NPs, but they're probably a few years out for us! I know Yosemite is pretty far up on all the lists I've seen of best parks. We've only done 9 parks so far. We'll be hitting up 5 more next month (Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, and Mesa Verde), and several more hopefully next year - New River Gorge, Olympic, Mt. Rainier and North Cascades.

I have been less than enthused about planning travel for next year. Typically I'd have all our trips planned out, most of them booked, etc. but I just have not been able to get into it! The only thing officially on our calendar and booked for next year is a quick weekend trip to Chicago. So I've just been stacking and racking up points, miles, etc.

I think part of the reason is that the big trip we want to take is 2 weeks to Singapore, Vietnam, and Cambodia, and since I lost our regular dog sitter (my mom, she moved away) this past spring, it has been terrible trying to find a replacement! I have a friend of a friend watching our dogs when we go away for a week next month, and then a different friend of a friend watching them in December when we're away for 5 days, but I'm so anxious about both of these trips due to not knowing how the pet sitting aspect is gonna go. I think I won't truly be able to plan our 2 week trip until the year is over and I'm able to reflect on how the new dog sitters worked out, and whether we'll feasibly be able to leave them for that long with a new person. At least with family, I could count on them, guaranteed. Dogs are such a blessing and joy in our life, but such a hassle when you want to travel and don't have family nearby that can help out!

I get that 100%! We have a doodle with epilepsy, so there is only one person we trust to watch him. She is older and in very high demand, so no trips unless she can watch them. The kids could come watch him for a couple of days, but he is lot to handle for an entire week (he has going on 3 years seizure free thank goodness). We have a second dog also, so I get what you are saying.

Needed a new card (as always). Laying low with Chase for a bit longer and AMEX usually doesn't like me. Was at 2/24 - after reading up on some cards, I decided to go for the BOA Premier Elite Card. 75,000 Points with $5,000 spend in 3 months.

$550 Annual Fee. Comes with $150 Annual Lifestyle Credit (Uber, Door Dash, Gyms etc.), $300 Airline Incidental and PP Membership that still includes Restaurants plus you can choose 3 others to get this same Priority Pass Membership and they don't have to be Authorized Users.

Instant Approval. Will give it a go for a year and then reevaluate then.

Happy that it should be working. Even if it starts next month I will still be happy

can the airline incidental be used for united tb like the amx plat? if so, it's intriguing

This is me!! I used to have travel all planned out a year in advance. Now I feel like I am barely interested in planning anything as finding an available house/pet sitter has fallen to me. I had a good friend that house sat for us while we were away and that included watching/feeding our dogs. She isn't available anymore (moved) and trying to find a trustworthy replacement is exhausting. We've bounced around using a few different people but I then am still constantly worried while we're gone. I would love to find someone that I trust enough that I could completely enjoy my vacation. Unfortunately we have no family around us to trade off with.

Does anyone know the expiry date of the current offer? My laptop is at home; I think I have surpassed the 48 months with Citi, but I am not certain and won’t be back until October 4th. Would hate to miss out on the elevated offer — I love AA miles and can always use more.
