Considering an offsite Disney stay for the first time ever (Swolphin, my go to, is completely full 😢). Suggestions for Hyatt or Marriott properties near property? Two adults - resort time will be minimal, so no bells and whistles needed. Only ā€œmustā€ is an on-site bar or at least somewhere to get a bottle of wine for our room šŸ˜€.

Edited to add: we’ll be exclusively using Uber/Lyft, and early entry benefits would be nice, but not a must have.

I've bought a few bottles in Epcot over the years and carried them back to my rooms. Also, resort gift shops such as at Animal Kingdom have a modest assortment.

Will you have a car, want to use a shuttle or will you do rideshare? I've considered doing the Bohemian in Celebration but my brother found it noisy. Otherwise the area is walkable with food and wine choices. Many, many years ago I stayed at Marriott World Center. I can't really recommend any offsite hotels because of lack of recent experience, but I might be adding a night here or there to get rid of some FNC's in November.

The Amex Verizon offer of $75/$150 is back. Added to DH's Plat and my Green AU card.
I had it too on my Bonvoy biz. Interesting note, the deal has a link to use the offer and goes to Verizon business. Hopefully it triggers for personal payments. I scheduled a payment, fingers crossed it works. Deals like this keep that Bonvoy Biz in my portfolio.

The Target in Flamingo Crossings sells alcohol. The newest Marriott properties there are Fairfield and Residence Inns. I know there is a bar and grill between the Springhill Suites and Townplace Suites there, they are a bit older hotels and showing a little wear. Can’t remember what the Fairfield has, we only stayed one night. No early entry.

Last round I bought gift cards and it worked. Hoping to do the same this time.

Business site or regular? I tried to follow the link from the Amex offer but I couldn't find gift cards.
last time I didn't use a link and it worked fine with the personal site. not sure if there wasn't a link or if I just didn't pay attention. I haven't looked yet with the new offer.

Looking for my next card. My last was a CIU which I applied for on July1, 2022 and just finished the spend.. I’m currently 4/24 until June 2023. I have a CIC which was downgraded from a CIP after 1 year. I also have a United Biz Card which I opened in Feb 2022. I am thinking about a hotel card. Like maybe a Hyatt biz card. I don’t stay in hotels very often, usually Airbnb’s. But if a great offer for a Hyatt card becomes available, will the card help me with an upgrade? Most of my UR points are going towards international airline travel. Or am I better off applying for an Amex biz card. I got an Amex gold in April 2022. I also have an Amex blue cash preferred, Amex every day, and the Delta blue. My preferred airlines are SW and United since they fly nonstop from Houston to Frankfurt, Germany where my daughter is stationed. This is my third trip here since November. I also have a SW priority and a CP through December 2023. Thanks for any help! 😊

The Hyatt biz card comes with Discoverist status, which doesn't get you much. The card is good to help work towards Globalist status with spend. The current SUB comes with double elite nights, so you could get to Globalist with 30 nights. But it doesn't sound like you stay at Hyatts enough to make that worthwhile.

You could just get another CIU or CIC. Or if you want MRs, the biz gold and biz plat SUBs are high too.

I would wait until 10/1 then apply for a CIC. You can never have enough Ink Business cards.

Are you Ravens fan also? It was a painful loss yesterday.

YES! lol what a ship show defense dropped the ball.
While I can sympathize, nobody can lose as spectacularly as the Browns. A missed extra point, then two touchdowns given up in the last 2 minutes!

I maintained my hometown team loyalty even while living in Pittsburgh for 35 years, although I have given up on them after they signed Watson. Still hard to see such incompetence.
