The dog is okay for now and the vet has recommended a cooling diet. I am very conventional/traditional but I'm willing to try anything including Eastern medicine. So she has new dog food (rabbit) and I just made her salmon. I suspect there's an underlying medical condition and I know she's really old. Appreciate all of the encouragement:) You all are the best.
The things we do for our babies! I was making mine chicken and rice because he needed a bland diet when he got diarrhea from the pain meds. Glad she is doing ok! She has a job to do in the upcoming months, training that youngster coming your way (that is adorable too!)

Please help, Marriott point redemption gurus! Is redeeming 168k Bonvoy points for a stay that would cost $1800 a decent value for a redemption? Resort fees and taxes are only $110 for the stay.

Do you have URs? It sounds like you would use less UR at 1.5 than Marriott points.

I do have URs, but I’ve also got these Bonvoy points that I want to try to get some decent value out of. So even if UR might be better, if this is a good Bonvoy redemption (as far as Bonvoy redemptions go), I’d probably use Bonvoy points.

I generally find a Marriott point worth $0.007 and you're looking at getting ~$0.01 so I think that's decent. Are you maximizing by getting the 5th night free? That's something I'm holding out for with my Marriott points.

It looks like Bonvoy points are valued at around .7-1.0 so assuming that the $110 is included in the $1800 so are little over 1.0 which is average.

VERY unfortunately it’s a 4 night trip, which is really all we wanted. We thought about adding a 5th night just because it’s free, but the room type we need for our party size isn’t available that an extra night on either side of the trip.

It's not a bad redemption, but missing out on the 5th night free would bug me. I guess depends on if you might have some other use for them or just want to get them off your balance sheet (so to speak). Keep in mind that resort fees aren't included for Bonvoy redemptions, unlike Hilton or Hyatt.

We were able to secure a reservation for a poly studio in January! This is our first time renting. I’m so excited! We’ve never stayed at a monorail resort before because of budget. I honestly can’t believe we’ll be staying there!
The Poly is one of our home resorts and it’s location can’t be beat. Enjoy!

I’m assuming we won’t be able to swim and the splash pad looks amazing but I don’t even care lol. I LOVE the two bathrooms in the studio. Our plan is to put DS’s pack n play in one of the bathrooms so he gets a nice dark room

I have been looking since May to stay at Poly Nov/Dec and there has been NOTHING! I'm thinking
of switching trip to Jan. With all the changes going on I'm going to keep a close eye on WDW rooms.
Congrats!

Getting ready to cancel my Citi AA card since I don't anticipate any flights this year (the only thing I really used it for was the free checked bag).

The AF hasn't posted yet but this is the end of the 2nd year I have had the card (obtained in July 2019). Do I need to wait for the AF to post, or am I ok to cancel any time? I just kept it this long IN CASE we happened to fly/use the free checked bag again before the fee posted.
