You guys really inspire me. This past year, I've been losing weight through calorie counting - I lost 50 pounds in my 50th year lol - but I need to add in exercise. I've been afraid to try the peloton app even though I could get it free through our CSR, but what can it hurt. I never thought about trying yoga though. It's now on my to-do list!
Get it! It's Peloton in name but it's all different classes other than spinning. It's one of the few things that the cards have promoted that I've felt truly sold itself to me. I will probably keep paying for it when the promo is over. And for people with kids, they have family brain break sessions, family stretching, cardio, in 5 - 15 minute sessions.

Has anyone had trouble with the Door Dash pass charge? I took advantage of the free offer and was charged $4.99. I sent Chase a message and they said it should come off but it hasn't. Just wondering if I should wait or keep bugging them.

Question on the new amex gold uber credit. I currently have DH's platinum card hooked up to uber. Is there any way to combine the two uber credits from both cards on one uber account?

Yes, just add the second card as a payment method to the Uber account you want the credit on and it will automatically update with the credit.
Great, but will I be able to use both credits on one charge? ETA: I guess I can split the charge to 2 cards?

My Amex Motley Fool Credit posted. And I believe it hit my URs too. So WOOOOO! I got in on the deal :)

I am over 1/2 way to my IHG spend. Why is $2-3k so easy but $5k (for the Marriott) had me freaking out? And that was over the holidays, LOL. I hit it, thanks to my mom buying my new fridge and having me do all her xmas shopping too. I need to see if I'm still able to pull up the Platinum offer. Maybe the Amex gods no longer hate me. I hate that I lost the triple dip on it. And all the offers I wanted to push through in Dec.

My points pointed on my Amex account, so that means they should post to my Marriott account when my statement closes later this month. I need to get some things booked before the 40% promotion ends.
Hopefully they post to P2 account soon then. Mine posted quickly, before I even realized I hit the MSR. Luckily we don't have a specific use for those points anymore, but I get nervous with AMEX sometimes...

Congrats on your progress! And may I say you are so lucky to have a Mom that lets you control her spend to use on MSR's!

I'm the opposite kind of 68 year old Mom - I want the adult kids spend, and occasionally get it! (of course a lot of it goes right back to them as gifts!).

My BBP $25 back offer from a >$500 medical bill paid 1/23 finally posted this morning. It’s so aggravating when there’s a delay. I just keep thinking, should I wait to put other big charges on there, particularly when there’s a fee to charge to a card? Right now I have real estate taxes due with a 2.5% fee. I wouldn’t be using a credit card on this without that $25 back. :tink: Here’s hoping it works!

Mine MF did too! DH’s hasn’t even tracked.

I’m also worried about meeting DH’s Biz Green $3k before 3/18... we don’t have any additional spend coming up and our biggest spending are grocery, Costco & gas, which all go on Plat and Hyatt. Ugh. We are going to have to switch our grocery spend over. We do owe the state $600 hopefully we can pay that with a credit card.

In reviewing my cell phone account to add the $15 credit, I jumped into another abyss!

I have a barely 1 year old Samsung S10+ and I debated on buying the S20 5G when I got it last year but I got cheap and went down a notch.

I'm not an Apple person. Can't do it.

But, I started looking at upgrading my phone. There is no good reason for this. I do not have a need for an upgraded phone. This is purely a want for a 68 year old grandma that just happens to love technology and who wants the latest and greatest.

Up to now, I've changed out phones in a little less than 2 years on average and usually for top of the line. The S10+ was a departure. Now I'm hungry to rid myself of it. Again nothing wrong with it.

The phone is in perfect condition, unlike the one I turned in last year which I had dropped and mussed the corner of.

I 'could' sell it outright or take a credit from the buyback program. Selling outright if I find a customer - about $400. Buy back - about $200 (based on internet googling and as days pass this goes down).

I can afford whatever phone I want. But I do tend to err on the skinflint side occasionally, so I'm slightly at war with myself.

This is akin to my camera upgrades. I've got a closet full of working cameras that I don't use. Even the smallest are a nuisance to carry.

Youngest DD is still using her S9. Doesn't care that much. But, talk to me about the elaborate work from home computer system that doubles as a gaming system with a couple of huge monitors.

When do new phones come out? Perhaps I should google what the next Samsung will be and then I can anticipate and keep what I have for some more months.

Whatever I get will coincide with one of my next MSR's. Yikes - just gave myself some more incentive to get an upgrade - a bonus!

I used my Uber eats credits yesterday at a local restaurant. We don’t usually get take out there bc it ends up being like $50/$60 for burgers and nuggets.
I used my doordash $60 last month and my $25 Uber yesterday. The girl was kind of snotty to DH when he picked it up and said to just call/don’t use Uber eats. I get they probably have a % go to Uber but we would go elsewhere if not for using the credit.
Anyone else run in to this? Don’t know if I want to deal with the snottiness and get my yummy patty melt with the credits or just go somewhere else. We will end up usually them for something lame like McDonald’s or pizza otherwise.

Is this with a CSR? That’s odd - I’ve never had any charge show up for DasPass. With the $60 DoorDash credit, the charge shows up and then an offsetting credit, but the monthly fee has never appeared on my statement. I’d probably bug them.

The S21 just came out last month.

I had S9 until DD killed her phone (J7 I think) in December. I could have gotten her a cheap replacement, but like you, I want a good phone and usually the most recent or one step down. I ended up passing my 9 to her then debated between the S10 and S20, knowing the S21 was coming. She couldn't wait though. I went with the S10 to save $200. Then in January I did have the option to upgrade to the 21 either free or $200-ish I can't remember, but passed. Starting with S21 Samsung has dropped NFC which is how Samsung Pay works. I use SPay a lot and it works everywhere so I'm sad to see it go. I wish I had gone with the 20, but I couldn't justify the $200 extra when I thought the phone might drop in price a month later. I refuse to check pricing now so I won't be disappointed lol
