Guys. It’s only Sunday night and I have an entire month of kids in this area not in school and they are already annoying the crap out of me! NO!!! YOUR CRAPPY SINGING TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS OUTSIDE IS NOT FUNNY!!

... sometimes I worry I am an old grouchy man at heart 😂

Sorry, that’s my kiddo singing “Into the Unknown.” Didn’t realize you’d hear her from Fresno’ish.

They'll formally announce tomorrow but they are closing all restuarants, bars, entertainment and recreational centers in WA tomorrow and in my county it's supposed to be immediately but I don't know how that works. My mom's annoyed she can't go to the gym now and doesn't get it when there was only 8 other people there friday at 9am. Well yeah cause everyone was working, go at 530 and it's way different. I'm just glad it'll force her to stay home. And happy the weather will be dry and in the mid to upper 50's all week so she can walk outside and I can run Wed outside. With this change and them also enforcing the 50 people thing I wouldn't be surprised to see them make most of us work at home, or at least those that's job allows. I have my orientation and safety training at 6:30am so I guess I may find out then otherwise when I finally get into work around 11 since I'm at the other office for this stuff.
I wonder if they are going to close other retail stores soon? Im interested to hear what he says in the morning. DH has a jobsite downtown Seattle that hasn't been shut down yet so he will go in the morning, but I'm kind of expecting it to close soon. I haven't heard anything about how other construction is being handled.

My first AP expires 2 days later. Amazing that I bought it specifically for this May trip I have to reschedule. Now squeezing in that silly Vets Day weekend trip doesn’t seem so dumb in hindsight. Who’d have thought that would be the last time I’d go until 2021 potentially?

Between this and the gift card theft I’m starting to think May was just doomed. I feel like I’ll never be able to enjoy Flower & Garden.
I was looking forward to my first F&G also. We definitely got our value from our AP's but there was so much more potential. Hopefully, we are able to make use somehow once they reopen.

Just got the email that Disney will be closing DS and all resorts and yet, they allowed people to check in today. My aunt said she saw a ton of people checking in at BC and YC.
I would guess that situation changed with the recent CDC recommendations maybe?? I feel like there's gonna more thoughts of dog in our future here!!! 🤣 🤣

Do you have any other symptoms?
Not really. My breathing seems normal, no coughing, no runny nose. My chest actually feels better right now so maybe it was all in my head. I took my temp but I swear our thermometer doesn’t work. It said my temp was 96.6 and I doubt that’s right. I messaged my OB but probably won’t hear back from her until tomorrow morning. I’m just gonna get some sleep and hope that helps

I just logged on to the public library's website to add to my social-distancing reading supply and learned that the library will be closed this week. Of course, in the scheme of things at the moment, the library closing is not a big deal (and I should have expected it with local schools and daycares closing), but this is the first total closure that's impacting me directly, which is increasing my anxiety a bit.

It also didn't help that I read earlier today that even though young, healthy people are very unlikely to develop covid19 symptoms, if they contract the virus they can still experience lung damage despite the absence of symptoms. Fortunately all of my and DH's parents (the over 70 folks) are sensible and taking this seriously, and even though my kids are also taking the threat seriously, they do still need to go to work/school and otherwise be out in the world to at least some extent. I'm not high-anxiety worried yet but I'm definitely more worried today than I was yesterday.

I’m getting more worried too. A newborn baby just tested positive in London. That doesn’t make me feel good at all. I’m going to my gym tomorrow to talk about putting my membership on hold. I’m honestly more worried about Dh getting it at work and bringing it home. They haven’t said anything about them working from home and there are tons of people at his office

I think your husband needs to be proactive on this. If it's possible for him to work remotely, he should insist on that. To me, your pregnancy means he needs to be there to help care for you (and a soon to be newborn) and he should be afforded the right to protect himself from exposure to the disease in a busy office setting.

EDIT: I don't say this to scare you or anything. I just feel like it's an unnecessary risk for you guys to face if WFH is possible in his job.

I suspect that if the number of cases keeps increasing the way that the experts predict, based on other countries' experiences, your gym will be shut down soon anyway (some states are already closing non-essential businesses and only allowing restaurants to do take-out or delivery).

And I'm sorry you have this to worry about with your pregnancy :(

They sent an email telling people they would have to use PTO to work from home. He’ll already be using all of that for when the baby is actually here. Idk what to do. I’ll ask if he can talk to them tomorrow about it

FYI: Chase Ultimate Rewards now has an online form to request cancellation of your reservations booked through Chase Travel. If you have upcoming travel that you want or need to cancel, you may want to try this route to avoid long hold times instead of, or in addition to calling on the phone. Chase says they’ll try to get back to you within 7 business days, which isn’t very assuring so be sure to call if you’re traveling in the next 72 hours.

By submitting a cancellation request, you authorize Chase to cancel your reservation(s).

Submitting a cancellation request does not guarantee a full refund. Cancellation policies differ depending upon the airline and if you wish to cancel, not all airlines allow for a full refund at this time.

If your airline does not offer a full refund, our customer support team will contact you to advise you of your options prior to cancelling your booking.

I cancelled JetBlue flights booked on URs directly with JetBlue on Thursday night. Over a 2 hour wait, but Chase travel wouldn't even connect at the time. JetBlue said normally I would have to go through the 3rd party, but given the unprecedented events they would gladly give me my funds back to my travel bank good for 12 months.

That is unbelievable sucky! In a time when the government is encouraging working from home, no company should be expecting people to use PTO to work from home. That is being a responsible citizen.

I've cancelled dd17's March trip and I cancelled dh & I's April trip. Still hanging on to the May trip but definitely not hopeful at all. After that, our summer gets crazy busy. Now all those things could get cancelled but if all those things are cancelled, then wdw is probably still closed too. Not sure when we'd be able to take another trip there. We had such high hopes for our first AP's lol!
I am so sorry! I remember the AP excitement after you guys got your DVC points!!! It is all so crazy! I had to cancel my first DVC stay and am still concerned I may end up losing my 2018 points. I waited years to buy and the first reservation I make is affected by a pandemic. WHO would have thought that?!?

I would definitely see if he can work from home with a baby coming next month. My DH can't really and I'm feeling concerned about him bringing it home since the baby is only two months old. I've kept myself calm reading that it hasn't seemed to affect children as much, but its still so new and unknown......
