The website was bleeped out. Can you tell us again without putting it in website form? My DD has a cruise next month with some friends and we have been looking into getting medical coverage for her.

The site is starred.because it's blocked by the dis and going around that by spelling out the website is against the rules. I believe if you google it's one of the.first results.

I bought a $500 Disney GC at Lowe’s a few weeks ago along with trash bags. No issues at Lowe’s and the Amex credit posted two days later. I plan on going back in a few more weeks for another $500 Disney GC and a filler item. I didn’t want Amex wondering why I spent so much in one trip and it being an obvious round number.
Will AmEx credit multiple purchases until the total hits $1K? I considered buying the $200, but wasn’t sure if that would cause problems.

Anyone here buy Disney Gift Cards at Lowe’s with an AmEx? Any problems or limits? I have the 10% Lowe’s rebate offer on two of my cards and went in today to buy $1K Disney cards on each AmEx. The manager said they won’t let anyone buy more than $200 in gift cards because they’ve had “problems”. I told him I needed $2K for our family’s trip next week and was paying in full with our credit cards, so I didn’t see how it was a problem. He refused to let me buy more than $200, so I left. Is this common? If not, can anyone suggest a Lowe’s to stop at between the Midwest and Disney? :) We are road-tripping to WDW and really wanted the 10% off for food and possible AP upgrades.

The Lowe's I went to wouldn't let me buy Disney GCs with a credit card (cash or debit only). We went back another day when DH bought a bunch of stuff, so I put a $50 one in the pile and the cashier didn't say anything. I think it's YMMV. Back when I posted about it, there was a theory that the stores in more affluent areas might not have this issue.

Just curious - is anyone else waiting a bit to use their Chase-Staples offers to see if RMN has any online cash back offers? A few weeks ago they were on there with 10% back, and I meant to buy DGC's using my Amex offer, and then of course I waited and missed it. I've been checking every day but nothing so far.

Sorry, OT question :offtopic:
Does anyone have experience or recommendations for waterparks around DLR? We’ll be there the last week of July and are thinking about trying one out. Two adults and two kiddos, age 7 and 9, none of us are huge thrill seekers as far as water slides. It doesn’t seem like there are a ton of options close by, one that I saw pop up is the Knotts Berry Farm waterpark. Any experience with it? Any others you recommend? TIA!

I'm using mine to buy the fee-free VGCs they have this week. If you did that, you could use them later as your payment method with a RMN deal or any other deal.

And one more please :offtopic:

Any recommendations for high interest savings accounts? We're really bad about leaving money in our checking and getting next to nothing out of it. I have some accounts with Discover, and like them ok except that the external transfers seem to take forever. Not sure if that's normal for online accounts between banks. Thank you!

Can you do that online? Fore some reason I thought it was in-store only. Our nearest Staples is a few hours away unfortunately.

And I just booked DNiece a ticket to Florence in late April for study abroad. I hope everything blows over by then.

I don't know what else you can do but watch and wait. As for insurance, I checked online but we are AAA members and they sell the same packages at the same price, so I just went in there and bought some because they are good about answering the many questions I have (and frequently call the insurance provider with the ones they cannot answer). I know we bought Allianz (sp?) because I wanted a "cancel for any reason" clause. DD is in Europe and we don't have insurance on her flights other than whatever AMEX provides.

I ended up using AXA. There were a few I had narrowed it down to but I needed to pick and I was running around in circles so I just bought it. Not the best way to do it lol but it should do what I need. I learned it takes a lot of research, you need to know your numbers of trip cost, and it's very personal to your exact trip. I added the cancel anytime feature as I don't want to lose it all just because I don't want to travel but the airline says it's safe. As a student your niece could very likely be in the "going unless the government says no" group so that feature may not be important to her, on the other hand if her school cancels her program but the airline doesn't cancel her flight are you covered? It just depends on her/your situation. And at the end of the day it might just be too expensive to be worth it. Personally I also liked the insurance covers expenses if I get stuck in a quarantine (something cc don't cover) but again since you're dealing with a study abroad thing she might already have that covered.... Since it's a study abroad program there might be specific insurance options the program recommends for students, I have vague memories of being required to buy some insurance thing when I went to China many moons ago.

Keep an eye on her program, a few US schools have closed their current study abroad programs in Florence and recalled students home, some are giving students the option to go home and some are proceeding as normal. NYU is closed through end of March a few others are closed indefinitely. ABC article on it here.
Right...so the day after I bought tickets, they started talking about possibly canceling the program (no decision yet) so I think I just need insurance for cost of plane fare for any reason.
I am not @gottalovepluto but I do buy Trip Insurance for every cruise we go on. I go to ************.com and put in all the particulars. Then you can compare all the different policies and prices. You can call them also and they will advise what you should be looking for. I always get cancel for any reason also - it costs a little more but worth it as you never know what can happen.

I have used Trip Insurance twice. Once I was sick on the ship and had to see the ships doctor. Got reimbursed. On another cruise DS broke his wrist in 2 places on the basketball court. Had to see the ships Dr and also go to a hospital in Mexico and have his wrist rebroken and a cast put on. We had to pay for everything right there but got reimbursed when we got home after submitting the claim.
Your website got starred out.

Interesting. Thank you for sharing that article. My DS is scheduled to leave on a study abroad trip with his college to Rome and London during the first two weeks of May. So far it is proceeding as usual. We’ll see what happens between now and then.

SW CP posted today, hooray! party:

I registered DD as my CP. Do I have to call to have the points from her 2 flights credited back, or can you do it online? I see the option to add companion to my flights, but she already has a ticket for the flights.

If you are all on the same reservation then you will have to call and have them cancel your DD off the flight and then added as a companion. If she has her on reservation # then you can just cancel her reservation and add her as a companion.

I just did this today but the points were lower, so I ended up cancelling both of us. Then I just did a reservation for me and then went in and added DD as my companion.

if she is on her own reservation number you can cancel online,
if she is on the same reservation number as others you have to call
