CC’s with straight cash back rewards, do you guys tend to let it sit where it is or move it to savings account or something every so often?
I keep it where it is. I use the cash for my CSP AF and travel related expenses I don’t want to cover with points. That being said, I never had more than about $750 sitting there. If it builds up to over $1000 I would probably start moving it to my bank account.

I tend to move it periodically or when I know my monthly spending will be high. Sometimes I'll take it as a statement credit like when I've paid with the cc to fill my oil tank. It helps to take the sting out of that purchase. I zeroed out my straight cash back cards in December to help pay for Christmas. Theoretically, it probably would make sense to do it more often to take advantage of a little interest.

How long does it take foe the chase offers to show as used? It seems kind of slow... I just saw the purchase go off pending, no credit yet...

DoC article

Basically if the charge that triggered an airline credit was refunded for any reason Amex is clawing back the airline credit or you are at risk of having it clawed back. And they’re doing it from 2019 just to make sure you can’t go use the credit now 😡
I used my aspire card credit for upgraded seats. I ended up canceling that flight and the money was refunded. I can expect that credit to apply to this year. Now instead of 250 credit, I'll only have 115.00.?

Howdee! Long time lurker, first time poster. I am looking to start paying my rent using my credit card in order to meet minimum spend requirements. I am running into the following issues and am looking for some ideas or thinking outside the box...
I currently have an AMEX and Capital One Quicksilver.
1. I cannot pay using check or MO, must be electronic check or through money gram
2. Can pay with a credit card, but they charge a $45 fee (I have 1.5% CB right now and so its not worth it financially)

I signed up for plastiq hoping to use them in some sort of way, but it seems the options they offer don't match with what I can do through my landlord.

I would give consideration to trip insurance... I had until 14 days after purchase to buy and bought cancel anytime for 75% back (but miles aren’t covered).
Can you tell me whom you used? I should do my own research but I need a starting place. Also, I guess I need coverage for any reason?

.
This sounds correct to me, based on my 'ex' military spouse experience. Back in the day I had all the info on this as I regularly (unless I did an annual pass) bought tickets at Andrew's or Shades. Actually it was so much easier back then. No MDE, no restrictions on who used the tickets. And the room discounts were amazing - I stayed at Poly for $150, when Wilderness Lodge screwed up my reservation.
My military experience is also pre-MDE. Our very first trip was $49/night at All Star Music and 50% off gate price of tickets for dependents and free for active duty. I miss those prices.

Baby or Yoda? Lol....I was 2 weeks late with the first 2 and 16 days late with the youngest. My Mom always claimed she was a month late with my brother.....

Hopefully they both get here 'on time'!!!
Omg I won’t go to 2 weeks past! My doctor and I are gonna make a plan on April 8 for induction if I’ll need it. We talked about doing the Monday after my due date which is 4 days later.

Two weeks ago I was approved for BoA Premium Rewards card ($95 AF, $500 SUB with $3000 spend plus 1.5% cash back on purchases) because we have a big household expense coming up. Since the cost will be at least twice that, today DH was instantly approved for the same card. Yippee more cash back! It puts him 5/24 until June, but we are slowing down at this point with cards so that's fine.

BoA included my credit score (from Experian) when they sent my card, definitely proof that this hobby, at least at the rate we do it, does not hurt it.
