Do you happen to be on unlimited with the auto-pay discount per line? Last time I tried to use a CC to make a payment I got this notice:

I was trying to figure out a way to have my cake and eat it too 🤣
Definitely unlimited but not with a debit card. I share the plan with my kids, They reimburse me and I usually pay with my CIP. Payed before my autopay date. I did not get the message you see.

Just having multiple credit cards from one bank is weird. It may be normal in the churning world, but in the real world it's not normal. Most people have 2-3 cards. Nothing people do on these threads is exactly normal.

yeah i'm at 15 I finally got my dad to do the CSR and CUR combo it took him 10 years of me getting all these trips for 1050 that he was like what am I doing wrong for reference he is retired and my mom and him travel a good 3-6 months a year but he was using 1% cash back...

3 of my Chase cards have a $25 off $150 purchase at BJs. I’ve never had a worthwhile Chase offer pop up before. Would this be valid on Disney gift cards? And could I do 3 transactions of $150 on each card and get the $25 off each one?

Saw this offer on all 4 of my Chase business cards...no personal
Wondering the same thing....will test it with one card

Since I’ve never used one of these offers before, how does it work? I spend the $150, and then a $25 credit automatically shows up on my account? How long does it usually take for that to show up on the Chase app?

yes the credit automatic shows up on your account...for us it usually takes 7-10 days

I had the Lowe’s offer on 6 of my 7 personal cards. I have been able to use the offer and have it successfully credit on all of them. So yes just 3 separate transactions with each card that has an offer. It takes a bit for it to post. It is not immediate. At least a week.

I disagree. Every non churner which is pretty much most people, friends and family that I know hold multiple cards with the same bank. Prior to discovering travel hacking I held multiple cards with the same bank. A person opens up one card, gets comfortable using it and the bank issuer will begin sending them information and pre approvals on their other products. It is more likely for a person to apply with a bank they are familiar with and have a relationship with than to go exploring different bank products. Whenever someone asks me about travel hacking and I ask what cards they have,100% of the time the answer has been multiple cards with the same bank. Just my two cents and what I’ve seen. I’d be surprised with someone who doesn’t churn having different cards from different banks.

I know quite a few people who only have a few cards, which are all from the same bank. I was even just talking to my BIL and his SO last night and they have three AMEX MR cards and that's it... Biz Plat, Biz Gold, and Everyday. It was kinda funny to me because SO feels he knows a lot about credit cards. To his credit over the last year he has finally learned a lot of his CC benefits which he was not taking advantage of, which is good. He is one of those people that pays his points no mind though and first didn't realize he was earning them, and then he wasn't earning the correct amount and didn't know that either. He doesn't realize that the benefits on biz and personal cards are different though, as he was telling me about getting a rebate when paying with points on the Platinum, among other things

Definitely agree on having multiple cards from the same bank while not churning. DH had three BoA cards before we'd ever even heard of churning. Heck, even my mom had a BoA Visa, MC, and Amex lol.

so..... I asked a couple of questions over on Reddit but no response.... also weird CL redicing question..... Nope. Dumb question sorry I just found the answer.... it's a different selection box

Same here. I'm going to wait for my anniversary points to post, then will cancel the card. I might keep my Priority card for another year though, like you said, the extras are nice.
Thanks I forgot about waiting for that....P2 just got the AF but no points yet in acct...I'm gonna wait on that call for a couple of weeks.

DH is going to be gone to Orlando next week for a conference. I am thinking about joining him for part of the trip. His SW ticket is roundtrip so when I go to add companion it adds it to both. Can we call to only add it to one way? Has anyone ever done that? Or would there be a problem just wasting the $5.60 and adding to both but no show?

Call they should be able to add it to one, probably just have to break up your husband trips into two one-way but I wouldn't monkey with it when likely they can do it much easier and you don't have to worry if the price has gone up to rebook.

In the past, I would have answered "I like trains and the ride from DC is easy and quick" and while that is true to some extent, I've not often talked about the real reason because I'm very ashamed of it and have only recently come to terms with it. The truth is I'm very emetophobic, at times dehabilitatingly so. Couple that with chronic vertigo easily triggered by motion sickness and flying can be a total disaster for me.

I've spent most of this year working on my issues and I hope to be able to fly again issue-free next year, so hope springs eternal.
I don;t think you're the only one.....what is the best way to mitigate amtrak travel expenses? I have a relative who could use that info....

Some Amex shutdown reports on r/churning

No conclusions as to why yet, just something to watch. Amex is also plagued with technical issues right now so if you can't log into your accounts don't freak out. Shutdowns are people who can see their account listed online as "cancelled" and are having their cards declined. Only a couple so far.
I'm more and more confused right now with this aspire offer..... is it a god or a bad thing? It sounds awesome if you don't get a popup....what is the hazard here? I'm seriously thinking about it. Just unsure about those credits if they're useful to me. ETA sorry another edit here....too much to read this fast. I'm not playing with fire I guess. It sounds ugly -until things settle down I'm out.

I had DH as my companion a couple weeks ago on a roundtrip ticket with SW. He ended up needing to ditch me on the way home for a business trip. He called and they canceled the 2nd ticket and refunded the 5.60.

I'd give them a call, I imagine they will just split his into two one way tickets then. It's easy to split people on the same itinerary up over the phone (once DH and I and my ILs were all booked together to fly in on the same reservation, but DH had a work trip so we went a day before my ILs... I had to call and get me and DH each split onto our own itineraries so mine could be moved, DHs cancelled, and ILs stayed the same - it was easy for them to do)
