Quick question for Amex MR experts. I have met my msr for my Platinum SUB (charge for paying quarterly taxes posted today). When should I expect to see the points for the SUB hit my account?

Proud new owner of an Amex Gold. I need the MRs (got a 50k referral offer for $2k in spend), and I can use the dining credits, plus I need to be getting a better return on my grocery spend (although I 'spose that the Freedom category will be grocery stores some of the time). No pop-up, so Amex still likes me.

We are just about done with spend on DH's CIP#2 (yay), and I just got approval to go to a conference, so I got the new gold card number online and am a third of the way to meeting the MSR already.

Did anyobody eles see Disney Riviera Resort avaialable at the Chase UR website?

Edit to add I was searching for Feb 11-17
We’ve seen this happen before. It’s some odd DVC listing - possibly somebody renting points?? The naming convention is not consistent with how you’d see a Disney hotel listed. I’d love for this to be good news but I’d be very cautious with it and wouldn’t get your hopes up yet.

EDIT: I'm going to revise my position and agree with @PolyRob that this might be something. Maybe it somehow snuck past the "disney block filter".

It does looks like it is DVC since villas are the rooms available.

Meanwhile, I've had to tell my BIL that should he choose to check a SECOND bag with SW and not have the yellow DME tag for it, we will not be waiting with him by the luggage carousel, and he can just come on the next bus lol.
In case this hasn't been mentioned yet, as I am behind again, he can just give the claim ticket to the DME people and they will get the bag like normal. I've done this a lot lately since we have been booking so last minute and not getting tags in time.

If that were an official Disney listing I think they'd say:
"1 Bedroom Villa"

This person is doing a REALLY good job faking some of the other stuff though (if it's not Disney).

Also, the cancellation policy is wild...how can you cancel after the check-in date??

Hmmm - maybe you're on to something though. That's just such a tough one - why only this ONE resort showing up?? Let's keep watching this!

Thanks, DH called this morning and the half that was paid with CIP is fully refundable if we cancel up to one day prior to the tip (in this case, Saturday). So, a little less than half of what we paid. Would still be out around $1000. At least we have another day or 2 to decide. As of now we're planning to pack like we're heading to WDW when we head down Friday for the wedding weekend in Savannah. If by Saturday morning it looks worse or no better, we may cancel and just turn around and come home Monday. Ugh. IDK. I hate the idea of losing money. I also hate the idea of missing Disney if it's not "that bad." I also hate the idea of putting my family in potential harm or having a horrible experience.

Did I mention we have the worst travel luck?
Honeymoon - rescheduled from weeklong island getaway to quick trip to Savannah, cut short by a vrbo nightmare (I should post pics someday for a laugh). Mountain getaway with friends - grandpa gets sick, dies, cancelled trip. Anniversary weekend trip, kids get stomach flu. Birthday trip last year, 104 fever for me and strep throat... Disney- hurricane... I think this is why we're scared to schedule a 10 year anniversary trip to replace the honeymoon we never really got.

Follow Mike's weather page on FB. He is thinking it might do that U-turn and go straight up the GA/Carolinas coast, which is basically wort case scenario for your plans. Happens to be worst for mine too, so I feel your pain.

IDK... I was able to pull it up for April with standard studio, preferred studio, and 1 bedroom options and can change the dates. Maybe its a glitch and the new resort got past the Chase Disney block? It is also an option to search by with the filter.

DRR is only composed of villas, no other room options.

Atlanta will be a hot mess this weekend so be warned if you'll be travelling through!! Dragon Con (80k people downtown), college foot ball kicks off (2 games) , black gay pride weekend, Braves playing the white socks almost every day, multiple other festivals as well.
The only reason we would’ve is if my family friend was okay with it. It’s still a 7 1/2 hour drive. She said her daughter is staying with her dog that isn’t good with cats so that’s out. I either need to book something in Orlando or just forget about it and stay home

I think you're on to something actually. This one may be legit! It looks almost identical to how Expedia lists it on their own website. I'm going to backtrack on my earlier statement...

I agree looks pretty legit with different options, etc. Its super expensive though! Even with UR's over $500/night

Dh is saying if we do leave we’re going to north Georgia. I think that might just be a mess trying to get all the way up there

You need to evac away from the path. The models are starting to show it turning and going north, which would cause you guys to have a hard time getting home from north GA. Once it gets closer, and they know more "definitively" the general direction it will likely take, you can plan to go north or south, or even just west to the panhandle....beautiful beaches there for a nice weekend.

Just bit the bullet and took advantage of the Delta vaction packages. For 5 nights in October I booked 4 nonstop flights from BOS-MCO with 4 nights a HRH club level. Cost was a little over 3K, i cashed out 140K MR's (i had 6K lonely DL miles) and put a little over $100 on my CSR. I did have to call in. I already had one night on the Chase portal at Cabana bay so we will keep that for the last night. I will get back 150K UR's (cancel my HRH UR booking), and 40K SW miles plus a gc payment. It seemed worth it to me as my original plan was to the Schwab plat and cash out my MR's at 1.25cpp. Now I don't need to rush and get that card (plus added pop up fear). I hope they do a sale like this again!!!!!

What was the last day to book? Delta doesn't have good flights for us, but maybe a connection is worth it to take advantage of the 2c/pp for amex MRs.

Yeah we aren’t doing Georgia. It’s too far of a drive and we can’t stay with our family friend anyway. I’m gonna get on the chase portal and see if there’s anything in Orlando that’s decent and allows cats. I’m not really sure what dates to book since it’s showing more like Tuesday now but I have a doctor appointment Tuesday that I’m really hoping doesn’t get cancelled.

Just got a call from Grant at Plasiq and he said if I push through 2K in payments he can lower my rate to 2% (will either get back a check or FFDs - I chose FFDs). Might give more if you have more to pay. AND they pronounce it PLASTIC. All this time I was giving it a french twist plastique!!!
