I love DH. I told him to pull out his clothing last night and I would pack today. Also planning to run to the store and grab some snacks and water, to check a bag in case we'd get shut in our room...
I just asked, is this pile the clothing you want?
Yup.
As planned, we will have 5 days this trip - 4 park days and an early flight home on the 5th day. He picked 5 shirts. You, uh, don't want an extra shirt or two in case we'd get stuck? :confused3

Meanwhile, I've had to tell my BIL that should he choose to check a SECOND bag with SW and not have the yellow DME tag for it, we will not be waiting with him by the luggage carousel, and he can just come on the next bus lol.

She’s already an AU on my BCP, but what I learned with my DS2 the last year or two is, my kids don’t spend much on groceries, it’s mostly “dining”. Lol
HHBiz isn’t as good as the gold or CSR on that, but at least it’s better than BCP.
Gotcha. I have searched the employee screen on all of my AmEx biz accounts for any age indication and there is none. It just says when you receive the card, you will need to enter the employee's SSN and DOB. It certainly can't hurt to give it a try.

Call Chase and ask -- they are super helpful. I have called a few times and asked questions about what is covered and what isn't. I would say that a hurricane would trigger "trip interruption", but definitely confirm with them.
Thanks, DH called this morning and the half that was paid with CIP is fully refundable if we cancel up to one day prior to the tip (in this case, Saturday). So, a little less than half of what we paid. Would still be out around $1000. At least we have another day or 2 to decide. As of now we're planning to pack like we're heading to WDW when we head down Friday for the wedding weekend in Savannah. If by Saturday morning it looks worse or no better, we may cancel and just turn around and come home Monday. Ugh. IDK. I hate the idea of losing money. I also hate the idea of missing Disney if it's not "that bad." I also hate the idea of putting my family in potential harm or having a horrible experience.

Did I mention we have the worst travel luck?
Honeymoon - rescheduled from weeklong island getaway to quick trip to Savannah, cut short by a vrbo nightmare (I should post pics someday for a laugh). Mountain getaway with friends - grandpa gets sick, dies, cancelled trip. Anniversary weekend trip, kids get stomach flu. Birthday trip last year, 104 fever for me and strep throat... Disney- hurricane... I think this is why we're scared to schedule a 10 year anniversary trip to replace the honeymoon we never really got.

Haven't seen it mentioned here, but I have several Amex offers on mine and DH's accounts for Disney Springs restaurants. Edison, Morimoto, Maria & Enzo's, Vivoli Gelato. I added them all! Sad we just did brunch on Sunday at Maria & Enzo's, but my parents paid anyway so not a big deal.

They can get your bags even if you don’t have the yellow tag. You just have to give them the claim number when you check in for the bus. Or if you have a grandmother that realizes she was supposed to put the yellow tag on when she is on the DME (when the video is playing showing people putting the yellow tags on) you can call and give them the baggage claim number lol

So does anyone here actually buy trip insurance (like through Allianz, etc) or do you just rely on your credit card protection? Our Med cruise/trip was really pricey. I used SO MANY different cards to make payments on things throughout the 18 rolling months beforehand it was kind of a mess if I would have had to make a claim. With the year I've had (sick husband, sick mother, crazy job) I vowed this would be the last trip I'd take without some real insurance. It would have sucked to flush about 10 grand down the toilet, you know?

So now I've got to buy some coverage for my Disney cruise - just wondering who others have used? And of course - does it code as travel (lol)?
I've only booked one pricey trip since starting with cards last year (oh wait, one not so pricey also) and I've been using the CSR for insurance. Our health insurance is really good so we don't have to worry about that aspect. The CSR max is $10,000 pp for interruption/cancellation, and they count "family members" quite generously. My parents are both gone, but dh's are in their mid70s and not in the best of health.
Disney Plus is coding as entertainment on the Freedom not streaming.
oh bummer, but thanks for letting us know!

GUYS!!!! THEY ARE BACK...

ALL THE MODERATE AND DELUXE DISNEY RESORTS APPEAR TO BE SHOWING FULL AVAILABILITY ON AAVACATIONS and USEAAMILES!!

Special thanks to @pinkxray for mentioning something causing me to check again today. Very limited availability had been coming and going BUT this morning...EVERYTHING!

Sorry just to clarify this is for 2020!

EDIT:
FYI, they may only be available through the end of May. I struggle to find availability for June and beyond.

For me, medical evacuation insurance is a must-have for a cruise. In our dozen or so cruises, I can recall twice that we have had someone med-evac-ed from our ship. That can be $100,000 and more.

Does anyone use postmates? Just got this email of spend $15 get $100 credit for September.

When I was searching I got an error message that said to choose check out date prior to 7/24 at one point so possibly only half the year is loaded and more will come up later.

Thanks for backing that assessment up :) I was feeling crazy for a minute there, lol. Good news that they're available for the first part of the year though :D

I was just about to mention this! I've never done it, but it seems simple enough. I love how the DME videos mention "your properly tagged luggage" lol. Another favorite of mine is when I see people attach the yellow DME tags to carry-ons. Why do they do this? Did they have extra? Do they not use the service? I am genuinely confused. :confused3

I think it depends on which credit agency Chase pulls from and when it shows the account being opened....since it’s so close to 9/1 you could wait until then to apply
I saw that staples is running the fee free deal again.... timing....I need to get started lol! I guess we could expedite via SM and still get some before sale ends....

UGH - more bad news on the hurricane for our florida friends and visitors - NOAA now predicting it could reach Cat 4.

My son lives in Orlando and just let us know....he’s downtown in a new apartment building, stayed there during the last hurricane and had lots of friends there who lived in houses that lost electric, while his building didn’t but it was very hard to find gas, water etc after the storm when through
