Currently burning through P2's CIP #2 MSR. What is the current advice on app timing for P1's CIP #3? I was approved for P1's CIP #2 on 3/6/19. Am I good to go?

Anyone get anything today? I feel bad I crossed a picket line but I got the American Eagle giftcard.
We haven't bought anything yet. I don't really see a whole lot on Amazon that we need. We wanted the $15 Fire stick, but now it's $25 because we missed it earlier. We are buying clothes from Old Navy. I went in a little bit ago to try things on and I'll be ordering the things I liked online.

Some people here fuel their whole house generators with the same propane or natural gas they regularly use if available. We are on natural gas, and my quote for the system was only about 10K, a few years ago. Big but - other costs - digging up my driveway and the days or hours without electric just didn't seem worth it. So I've got a little standby and a window unit plus some space heaters for winter.

My mom just had a new one put in after her original one died after 15 years. I think her new one was maybe 6k-7k but she already had the propane tank and all the wiring for in the house done. They are a lifesaver for us since we're in a rural area on well water, so it runs our well pump. We got it after we lost power for 10 days after Hurricane Isabel and had to haul in 35 gallon tanks of water for the horses everyday from a house 10 minutes down the road. It was a nightmare.

DH tries to help his customers figure this out... it's a nightmare!

I can't imagine! Definitely above my head, but it would seem like something that would not only address the issue of working conditions for warehouse workers, but also their efficiency. Maybe your DH needs to make a bid on it :rotfl:

What's funny, in a way, is Amazon recently opened a huge warehouse down the street from us... DH designs warehouse systems, and one of the racking vendors they work with went straight to Amazon to cut all of the systems people out of their profits. And now, no one really wants to use their racking in new projects... can't imagine why

I feel like such a loser. I haven't bought anything through Amazon today.

I had a ten hour round trip drive to a horse show while I was listening to it so I knocked out a lot then. I also listen to my books on 1.5x speed so that knocked a little bit off of it. I think it's the longest I've done on audio though. Gone with the Wind is right around 50 hours and I did that recently, and the Game of Thrones books are all around 40.

I have listened to all the GoT ones and also Gone with the Wind. :) Just takes me a long, long time to get through the long ones.

anyone used Plastiq today? Trying to set up some payments, but can't select a delivery date. It's just spinning. Tried two browsers so far.

Nevermind, first two browsers still spinning, while all 3 pyaments needed to set up are done on browser #3 :-)

I always figured their clothing would be junk, but I've gotten a few things that are actually nice and I love for under $30. Don't do it too often though. The best part is just being able to order it all and send it back...

I will say, Amazon's policy on easy returns has caused other stores like Banana Republic to now offer free returns as well, so it's just as easy to get clothes where I prefer to shop.

Amazon's extreme competition has at least caused many other stores to step it up.

its kinda weird not seeing any target and walmart deals on deal sites... its all amazon for some reason.

Thank you!! Honestly Grand Canyon is the one I am least excited about as well. I wasn’t considering Arches, (was thinking it was too far), but may have to research a bit more. My kids will be 10, 12, and 14, so theoretically should be able to do some longer hikes, but I feel like they were better hikers when they were 6-8!

Arches was a bit of a drive but there was so many good hikes for them! We went down Ut-12 and it was almost 6 hours from Arches to Bryce with a stop at Capitol Reef NP to get their ranger badges. It was a beautiful drive thru Grand Escalante but if your against much driving I think you could easily due Bryce, Zion and Vegas and turn that into a GREAT trip. We drove almost 1500 miles after flying out there and although I’m glad we covered as much as we did, I don’t know that I would do it every time.

I forgot to add that our kids loved Vegas. The pools were neat and we saw the Bellagio Fountains and the Mirage volcano. I probably could have spent a couple nights there. They would have loved to have seen one of the America’s got Talent winners shows but we just didn’t have time.

Sorry I know this has been asked before but how long after lowering Chase Credit Limits should I wait to apply if hoping for auto-approval.

Good point. I do try to shop locally when I can, especially since I really want our few remaining local bookstores to stay open. My largest Amazon purchases are actually Whole Foods gift cards when I can get the AMEX discounts (don't even get me started on how they both ruined WF and made it more expensive at the same time). Prime was really useful when DD was in college since she didn't have a car and it was so easy for her to get whatever she needed without having to leave campus, but now that there is no Amazon where she will be living for a year I wonder how much we will actually use it.

Just bought my first international flights with miles! I’m so stoked, I’m driving my dd nuts with crazy texts. Told her she’d be celebrating her 17th birthday in Scotland, complete with a Braveheart gif. Went with longer layovers just for peace of mind (hoping for lounges to help relieve boredom, but we’ll survive without if necessary). Thanks @calypso726 for the timely advice. So we’re spending 4-1/2 hrs. in Newark instead of 1-1/2 hr in DC. We’ll be visiting Edinburgh, London, Paris, and Venice. Will have a 4-1/2 hr layover in Zurich if that’s enough time to see anything. Would welcome any more tips or advice. Thanks everybody!

It was shockingly easy to cut them off - local bookstores are far better than Amazon could ever be, for example. Always thought their clothing was crap and never got that stuff anyway. Lots of other options for electronics as well. And local grocery stores and farmer's markets for far higher quality produce and goods than they could ever have.

I like what you are saying, don't get me wrong. But, look where you are located - you (and I) have everything at our fingertips. we don't actually need Amazon or even Walmart.

What Amazon reminds me of is when Walmart started to invade small towns.

YAY! :cheer2: This sounds so exciting! Can't wait to hear more as you plan it all out!

I'm in the hate category. Rejected my third dispute for my 100,000 Brilliant upgrade offer, and no communication about it as promised. I canceled that particular card, and cashed out all my MRs. They offered me 20,000 points to keep the card. I told them absolutely not that's an insult and I'll be filing with the CFPB.

ETA: oops, forgot to insert the quotes about Amex and love/hate realtionship from yesterday, LOL.
