Congrats

Aaaaand Dh was approved for CIP #2! What a good night!
The funny part is that I am a scientist and work in the lab doing precise measurements, so when I get home I do not measure anything and I can never follow a receipt! I always add/take somethingUsed our credit at Swan last week. Charged dinner at Fountain to our room, plus snacks from Fuel and the resort fees, for $270. Checked out Thursday, I think the charge posted yesterday, the credit posted today. Also spent $11 at Java Bar but they wouldn’t let me charge to the room (which T&C say is necessary for credit) but got the credit for that also. Lastly spent $17 at the Springhill at Marriott Village on snacks for the flight home, waiting for that to post.
Baking is more science than art, so I make DS follow the directions and measure accurately. He loves math, so the measuring and numbers is fun to him. For the cake he made with his cousin, I did have to supervise to avoid fighting. I divided the jobs, one measured liquids, the other dry ingredients, etc. The recipe required caramel made from scratch, which I did because 2 ten year olds and boiling sugar was too risky for me. The chocolate cake was delish and I would make it again. The rainbow cake everyone agreed tasted like Fruit Loops, which is not my preferred flavor profile.![]()
That was going to be my suggestionFidelity seems to trigger a lot of other banks, I think most have luck with it coming from the brokerage account but I think I saw some where even the cash account worked. With it not having any minimum balance or activity fees that I recall it seems a handier account to keep.
Can someone remind me....can the CIP by canceled by SM?
Okay, don't laugh at me but I only have 1 credit card that I have had for probably 10 years (and I swear I'm not like 80 or anything like that). Anyhow, I have finally given in to DHs request to fly to FL next year. Today I plan to apply for the Chase Southwest card. I just want to make sure that when I get the 40,000 after I spend $1000 in the first 3 months that I can then use those points to book flights for me plus a few of my kids. DH has the card already and probably has enough on his card to cover 2 flights so I'm hoping to cover the other 3.
Yes! Another great point. To add to this, I'm also keeping my Fidelity account because it seems like a pretty good account for occasional overseas travel. It's not as good as a Schwab account, but I don't have one of those. Since we don't travel often internationally, it doesn't seem worth it to open a Schwab account just for that.
Sounds lovelyBack from a wonderful spring break trip to Maui. Wailea Beach Resort Marriott is awesome, even DH (who says he doesn't like Hawaii) liked it. The only thing I would change about the trip is to stay longer!! Being Plat didn't do a whole lot for us since the hotel was sold out because of spring break, but we used our daily continental breakfast coupons at the on-site Starbucks and paid $2-$3 upcharge to get sandwiches instead of the daily pastry. Each coupon was worth about $25-30 I figure, so that was nice. I used URs to book United tickets, whale watching (saw whales breaching very close to us!), Molokini snorkeling, and a luau. Marriott points covered the hotel (I attached a Cat 8 travel certificate before 8/18/18). I used 2 x $200 in Courtyard gift cards (purchased with the Amex Offers) to pay for resort and parking fees. Car rental was paid with DH's new Arrival+, so I should be able to erase that charge. I'm still waiting to see the balance post to my Brilliant (aka Lux), but thanks to @DisneyMandC's posts (I read DIS when I could!) I was able to load the Marriott Amex offer to my card. I left the bill with a $309 balance to be paid on it, and since my card anniversary was on 3/27, I'm expecting to see a $340 credit ($300 Brilliant credit + $40 Amex Offer). I failed at getting our Econ Plus seat upgrade covered with the Arrival+ because United charged each seat separately, so even though it appeared that the charge would be over $200 for the 3 seats, because of the way United processed it, each charge is under the $100 threshold for Arr+ travel redemptions. Blech. On the bright side, I was able to chat with Amex to change the airline on DH's Amex Gold to United, so our checked bags were free.
Today being April 1, and in celebration of being 4/24, I applied for CIP #2 thru DH's CIP link, and was instantly approved! This is my 4th Chase Biz card, and I still have CIP #1 opened from 6/2018. I lowered my CLs to about 50% HHI a couple weeks ago, and I did end up using my middle initial because I'd been getting mail from Chase to open up a CIP addressed to me with my middle initial. Next, I'll get the CIC for DH then I can cancel my CIC and go for a new CIU in a few months.

Can you expedite the card for free?DH approved for CIP 2!! Looking forward to 110k URs coming away ($2500 of the MSR will be a travel charge, so 3x). Already sent an SM asking for the card to be expedited.
As DP info: I applied for this card for him 28 days after closing his first CIP. His only other Chase biz card is a CIC and he has 3 personal cards.
