46 when she passed. Yesterday was her birthday and she would have been 53. I can't believe it's been that long...

I'm so sorry.

I've learned that there is no easy way. Ultimately the outcome is the same. (((HUGS))) to all of you who have lost loved ones recently, and all of you who are still mourning regardless of the time that has passed.

Cracking up at gross hotel room stories. A bunch of us went to Newport RI for a bachelorette party and stayed at this horrible place. There were HotPockets and half drunk water bottles in the fridge. Then we open the window and in the sill (in the actually room part it was like a bay window) was a dirty pair or men’s underwear.

During a recent trip we found a used towel and dirty underwear in our "clean" room - at a Hilton! They are suppose to send us a voucher for 1 night stay good for any Hilton. I've got plans for that voucher!

You guys are killing me with these Disney deals. Dh and I already said we wouldn’t go to Disney next time and would do universal instead but it’s always hard to pass up those kinds of deals

Exactly! That's why we're doing both this year US & WDW.

Omg, our flights home were canceled and we were scrambling to find replacement flights. We found 1 seat into Boston, and at the time DD was only 1 so she could sit on my lap so I took it. Our car was parked at PVD in RI so my dad had to pick us up. DH rented a car and drove to his brother's house in North Carolina and caught a flight home the next day!
We flew down for the wedding on Sept 14th. I had to tell DH I was going to put him in a suitcase if he kept bringing up Irma since it was out of our control. Everything was fine and Universal was DEAD.

Hey @SouthFayetteFan - do you get a 1099 if you cash out MR via Schwab? I wouldn't want to pay tax on that money if I went that route... but doing so would give me a few thousand more for DHs new car next year. So plotting and planning....

FYI anyone selling giftcards DO NOT sell to Cardpool. Doc posted a while back right after I sold them 2 cards in January that people were having issues. I had sold to them in November with no issues quick payout. Apparently they were sold and it’s gotten really bad. I sold to them 1/24 and my order remained in review. I went on vacation and completely misplaced the dang cards so I was stuck. Multiple emails, a phone call and NO ONE responded. Finally took to Twitter and FB. Said my check is coming in 3-5 days. I’ll believe it when it arrives. Stick with Cardcash or Raise.
Ughhh... That's probably why it took them a month to verify a GC I was trying to sell. The first time I thought it was a fluke after 10 days or so and still in verification, so I cancelled/relisted. Then I completely forgot about it but got an email it was verified and listed and then sold all last week within 48 hours. I'll have to check on my payment...
Two years of spaceship earth closed is a long time. Sad about that. Illuminations, I’m fine with.
Illuminations is special too. DH wants to do the special farewell dining package at Rose and Crown

Illuminations is very special to my family, we are super sad to see it go. It will be very emotional for us. I WILL be at the final show if it kills me (which if they don't hurry up and give us a date, it might).

I flew out right as Irma was heading in, from my solo trip. The last couple of days were amazing for crowds, the place was dead!!!

I have what is probably a stupid question, but I swear I can't seem to find the answer on my own. How do you know what airlines use an airport as a hub? And does it matter? I'm researching flights for Costa Rica and for Italy out of Seattle and I can't seem to figure out which airlines I should be checking into most.

Also, I just caught up from over the weekend. The kid discussion had me :rotfl2: We have five (2-13). They make it much more expensive to travel and our points certainly cant go as far. It's more a savings towards a trip vs the free many of you can do. Watching them discover new things and reliving our trips through shared stories is so great though. I am hopeful that now we will be traveling even more since I'm venturing into the churning world.......and you never know, we aren't completely opposed to a baby #6......

Has anyone done any of the SPG/Westin time share offers? I got one yesterday for The Westin Lagunamar in Cancun. Looks like its actually a great place. They do offer rooms for 6 people (although the offer stated 2 adults, 2 kids). Reviews say its low pressure but a lot said they didn't even have to go to the presentation (this clearly states we do though or they'll charge the seasonal rate). It goes through Mar 19, 2020. I asked for availability for Mar 14-22nd, 2020 (my kids Spring Break) so we'll see. If it happens, it happens, if they can't accommodate us, I'll go back to the cruise idea.

There's been a couple that I remember from the old thread but I think they were mostly Hawaii locations. At least one location didn't require the presentation, I think @calypso726 did go to a location with one and reported back it was very low pressure. I'm not sure if anyone did one in Mexico, though.

Can anyone help with travel insurance. Leaving the 14th for a cruise (cruise 17-24th). 2 adults, 4 kids. I looked at insure my trip.com BUT there’s still a lot of options. Is there certain things I should be looking at?

For cruises, I look at medical evacuation. I like seeing a high coverage amount, like 500k, no idea if that's really necessary, but it makes me feel better. If I'm flying in the day before, I look at the missed connection coverage. But you're getting there 3 days before, so you might be less concerned with that. If your medical insurance doesn't cover you outside the country, you'd want to look at that first.

No you do not. I cashed out thousands in multiple years and never got one.

I use Google Flights to search fares - at least initially. I would start there.

Don't know if anyone is doing the Ebates MR thing, but Lifelock is 80% cash back on Ebates right now.

I wanted to sign DH up for the Ebates MR earning, but DH doesn't want to give them access to his Amex login information. I don't blame him but I'm bummed nonetheless. I have my own Ebates regular cash back account, so I could do it for the straight up cash back. Anyone here use/used Lifelock (identity fraud monitoring service) and have opinions?
