So I was watching the Disunplugged show on Youtube about the new DCL 2020 cruise release. Steve Porter was quoting some people’s posts from Disboards and he mentioned @GlamMistress and quoted what she said. I was so excited to recognize someone from the boards that I did not listen to the rest of what he said and came here to post.

I went back about 10 pages but did not see this mentioned. Just a shoutout to Glam Mistress for her 15 sec. of fame!

Finally caught up here so now I can share my good news. Approved for my second Citi AA biz card today! My first using a mailer (got it from my mom last week). This is my first true card to churn so I can officially call myself a "churner"!

I was totally cracking up over the baby churner talk earlier! FYI- not in that race by the way although my DS7 did just ask me yesterday if we were having any more babies.

So exciting about Hawaii! I was totally pricing out tickets although Hawaii is what I'm planning on using my AA stash for. I'm just jealous of those who are able to book a trip to Hawaii for like two weeks from now. Just the freedom to be able to do that kind of blows my mind!

So sad about Luke Perry, I grew up on 90210 too. I'd heard he was in the hospital but hadn't heard from what.

We went to KC over the weekend for an Eric Church concert, had tickets to Fri and Sat night, but because of the stupid winter weather we had to bail on the Sat night show and come home early. So of course now what am I doing? Trying to pull together a trip to Dallas in April! Trying to talk my mom into going as an early Mother's Day weekend, we could drive from Wichita to Dallas, and stop at the Pioneer Woman's Mercantile on the way, spend two nights in Dallas, and maybe even hit up the Magnolia Homes Silos (1.5 hours from Dallas). Of course I haven't mentioned this to DH yet, not sure he's going to approve....

Finally got my citi AA personal card today! Gonna hit them up for a match now

AND...I cannot activate the card. Same errors I was getting with the biz version Churning these cards is not going to be very fun if I have to call and talk to technical support every time

I’m roughly the same age as Luke Perry.

So DH’s credit card came today from the implement dealer. He’s okay with me calling tomorrow to see if we have to use this card. (Can places really do that?!)

I’m pretty sure that’s not legal, but I don’t know where to tell you to find proof of that. Maybe someone else will chime in.

I listened. It was a comment I made 2 days ago, talking about it would come down to price and that I can do RCCL for half the price.

So they were arguing that DCL is worth it more than RCCL.

Citi just sucks IT wise. Websites are hard to use, sometimes hard to even find the right website. I also have a Citi Sears Card that earns Thank You Points. I can login to my Sears account but not my TYP account even though they have the same user ID and password

Having lived in Waco for 4 years while I attended college, it's still so funny to me that people actually want to go visit there lol! It was the 'armpit' of TX for many years. Having said that, a lot of people want to go there now. If you plan to go to Magnolia, the weekdays are much calmer but there is also less going on. Weekends are crazy busy but there are food trucks and the lots of activity. Sounds like a fun road trip!

The TYP site does the same to me. Keeps telling me I have wrong info. I’m like, I just logged into your other website with this info.

Yes, it's same site as the Biz and I already have a personal login cause I have the citi costco card. Tried yet another browser and it worked then. Screen displayed differently than the other browsers. Just crazy! Now to go back and figure out how to send the SM.

Ugh, and I was just going to say at least your day was turning around with the Citi AA card coming in.
This actually happened to me when I was registering mine. It wouldn't let me enter the last number. I ended up typing in one number different in the middle and it took all the numbers , so then I pressed backspace and put in the correct number and it worked! Probably a fluke but worth a shot. So instead of xxxx 3xxx I typed xxxx 2xxx. Hope this makes sense

That is so funny though that you found a work around!

I sent my SM. Decided to GO BIG and asked for 75k even though I only signed up on the 40k offer. We'll see

My flights from OAK to HNL has already doubled in price. From HNL to PHX is not quite double at the moment. I'm still on the fence about placeholder tickets for the littles. I should have my CP next week so DS2 will be booked then. I really want to use DH's CP to take a trip before this (June maybe), then switch it to DD2 and have her booked to Hawaii. What would you do? Hawaii trip is August.

And if I book them, or her, on points now, is it easy to swap that to CP?

No, I don’t believe so. DH said that the implement dealers want you to have their card so they know you can pay for your stuff. I think that’s BS because they have our tractor. If you don’t pay, you shouldn’t get your tractor back. I’m assuming that the dealers do this because you may have a lien on your tractor and if you can’t pay, someone else could have a lien on your tractor and the parts and service people would be SOL. We own all of our equipment free and clear (thanks to inheritance), and I just want to pay using my own credit cards!

I’m going to call tomorrow. It just irritates me that DH felt like he had to sign up for this stupid card (and thus using yet another 5/24 slot for a worthless, zero benefit to us card).

You really aren't the only one. There's a whole thread about it on the boards.

So they were arguing that DCL is worth it more than RCCL.

I find the cruise board to lean far towards the "judgey" side of things. I'm dumb for paying for DCL in Europe. Others are dumb to try another line. Just depends who is reading what you type. I don't think that anyone can say that it's worth double except the person paying the fare. That's why I love this thread.

ETA - I write this as I sit here trying to justify the cost of DCL to myself and DH.

I need to look over to the cruise board and figure out if we can afford a DCL Caribbean cruise next year. I have not done any cruises yet but we love Disney . Hoping to do a few days in WDW then a cruise. We’ll see.
