Unfortunately If you click apply now it probably will say offer unavailable. The SW 30k offer with CP for 2019 is still on the chase page, though it says expired on 2/11. Do y'all think the offer would still be good? My aunt is thinking about getting it for her 21yo grandson. He has no chase cards at the moment but is an AU'er on one of hers.
most likely its an approval thats what mine said. try calling the status in a few hours. good luck on the approvalApplied for CIC yesterday. Got the more time and the phone line today said 2 weeks....not sure if that is good or bad. This is my first entry on the business side although I did all the work and got my wife approved for the SW Biz last year to get the companion pass.
Also PM for getting in on the reddit thread??
I won't lie, I was sort of secretly hoping they would close it... but I guess they were happy to take $19 a year even with no actual spend. If that's his oldest card, I'd just PC to the no AF version and keep it open. I wouldn't pay $1 of AF to have it...but since there's a no AF option, take it and keep it![]()
Yes those picture at universal were terrible! I didn’t know they don’t do that anymore. We haven’t been since 2016The picture that prints out when you use the GE kiosks at customs is equally as bad. I think they must be doing some type of facial recognition between the two. (I remember when The Universal on-site hotels had the picture kiosks for the Express pass and those pictures were the worst ever.)
Drats! You are right!Unfortunately If you click apply now it probably will say offer unavailable.
That makes sense them paying a tech fee. There are a lot of low income families here that probably wouldn’t be able to pay the fee. I’m guessing your district has a way to help those families though.Yes, it is a bigger district and families are charged a tech fee to offset some of the cost.
Apparently it was considered a state secret on reddit, lol, but here's the write-up by DoC . If you join using the app you won't have to be on the waiting list (at least for now). Until you join you won't know what's available to you, for me the only thing available in my area is 5% back at Office Depot and local restaurants I don't go to (except for one to be fair- but it burned down in a freak fire right before the Holidays so it's obviously not open right now). Kinda crushes my soul my In-N-Out doesn't participate but it's probably better for my waistline...speaking of.....Pei.....can anyone tell me more or is this a state secret?
Somebody on r/churning is trying to bash DoC today on the discussion thread...hmm this probably won’t end well for that poster LOL!
Sounds like fun!! I've only done the South Rim. I need to put the North Rim on my bucket listHiking in late September---North Rim, Bryce, and Zion
I just hit MSR on my SW with DH's medical copay yesterday and should have the 50K points when the statement closes on the 22nd. I'm planning to do the same thing as you did. I have DS's flights booked on points now and will cancel and change to the companion. I didn't want to chance anything being sold out or if I missed getting the CP. Another good reason to book everyone separately. Makes stuff like this easy.Woo hoo! DH's 50K SW points from the Priority SUB were in his account when I checked this morning, and his account was already reflecting the CP as well!! I've already designated DD as his companion, cancelled her two existing points bookings and re-booked her on those flights as DH's companion. Everything was instantaneous in terms of the points going back into the accounts from the cancelled flights, and I was able to use the $5.60 in travel funds from each cancelled flight to pay the new $5.60 for the CP fares. Love love love when things are this easy peasy
You just use your room key now for Express Pass. Makes it easy and less to carry around.Yes those picture at universal were terrible! I didn’t know they don’t do that anymore. We haven’t been since 2016
Yep. The EP is part of your room key now which is so nice not to have to keep track of a separate piece of paper since we already have our room key and AP to track. Most of the rides they just scan the key and a few have facial matching so you can’t just share your key.Yes those picture at universal were terrible! I didn’t know they don’t do that anymore. We haven’t been since 2016

Kinda fun seeing live downvote results now ...and thanks @amalone1013 it's 9:30am and I'm now craving some popcorn to go along with the dramaSomebody on r/churning is trying to bash DoC today on the discussion thread...hmm this probably won’t end well for that poster LOL!
Another one in this camp. I only got referrals from DH on the SPG Biz and Hilton Biz. But no 1099 from AMEX. I'm going forward without it. Figure if I wasn't on this forum, I wouldn't even know that AMEX/Chase were sending these and I would proceed the same as I am doing.Still no 1099s so I'm going to do my taxes by Friday.
