Those of you who have been offered 10,000MRs to sign up for Amex pay over time feature....did the offer come via email or is there a section in my account I should check for it ?

It was a pop up when I logged into my and DH's accounts.

I checked through my old emails and found the Amex pay over time 10K offer. Just signed up. Anyone know how soon those points post?

Mine took 3 days, DH's took 7.

In light of the AmEx pop-ups and bonus denials, I've come up with a plan for me and P2. Would like to get some thoughts?

Me: at 4/24 (will drop to 3/24 in August)
very old EveryDay
01/19 BGR
01/19 Hilton Biz
Planned:
02/19 Marriott Biz (when elevated bonus comes out)

? Somewhere in here maybe the personal Plat, which will make me temporarily 5/24 (AmEx seems to take a long time to report new cards? So maybe this won't matter). I can't get the 100k offer to come up though, have tried some of the tricks like drop letter in name, use old address. I may just give up and take the 75k before my AmEx spending drops off.

P2: at 2/24
3 year old BCE
01/19 Rose Gold
01/19 Hilton Biz
Planned:
02/19 Marriott Biz (when elevated bonus comes out)
04/19 Lux (once out of 2/90 and before elevated bonus ends)
05/19 Hilton Aspire (once out of 2/90 again) - this will put P2 at 4/24

My sense is that AmEx is probably not looking at the old cards. Hope that's true since spending is sporadic on those. All the other cards I'm working on MSR and spreading it out. If I keep spending on all the cards until the last SUB posts, think I can keep the pop-up and denials away??

ETA: edited for error, only P2 will get Lux.

Got the direct deposit notice for my PNC account, got the debit card yesterday, time to get those reloads done!
What does the DD notice look like? Did you get an email? I did a transfer from Chase (ACH Dep) and wondering if it will trigger the DD requirement.

There is no referral for Barclay Arrival + as of right now, correct? I've been helping a friend and she wants to use my referral link....

Nope. Barclays rarely offers targeted timed referrals that expire after a month or two, but I don't think I've ever seen one on the A+.

Thanks for confirming! I steered her away from Chase for now, just because she's only had a Capital One Venture for their business for so long and loves it. I figure Barclay Arrival+ is a great start for her since she understands how the redeeming goes. Then I said I'd help her down the Chase path. They just bought a lot in Costa Rica so she wants to get down there as much as possible, FREE of course!

Without an extra deal both BJ's and Sam's are just below Target at a 4% discount. Only the $150 multipack at Sam's Club online gets close at 4.7% discount so when you add on any other rewards from a CC on top, it edges out Target. But then you factor in that it's a 3pk of $50's so there's extra time involved consolidating and using them. I guess technically if you have a 1.5% card (or better) even the 4% comes out to 5.4% off. Very much a shame that I don't see any warehouse categories yet this year. If you had a 5% category even the 4% discount would come out ahead then.
u can add another +3%(CIP) or +5%(CIC/CI+) by buying walmart gift cards on gyft.com check out via paypal and then using them to buy Disney gift cards at Sams Club.

soooo...tell me if this is worth trying..... still working thru P2's MSR for CIP... but reeeeeellllyyyy want that WoH card before offer is gone (feb 1 via email link) aaaaannnnddd that Barclays AA offer is a dream come true. Think it's worth a shot for P2 (4/24) to app today for WoH,and then today or tomorrow for AA card? too soon? I'm thinking MDD,even tho different companies? I was gonna use that last chase slot (hopefully) for Hyatt...and then move on? wwyd?

have you check the hyatt link? i checked one not to long ago and it was dead. :(

Southwest flies to both San Jose and Liberia airports in Costa Rica if your friend is near an airport with SW flights, that CP is such a good deal...

Also, be aware that you're shortening her Chase runway by advising her to sign up for other banks' personal cards first.

This was the title of the email I got for mine...

"Direct Deposit Greater Than $1.00 Credited To Your Checking Account"

@castoral I agree with the above. Chase cards are what she should go after first since all bank's personal cards will count against her with Chase.

I accidentally deleted the part about SW but I'd encourage SW cards, and maybe even going for the SW CP if she will be flying with a companion.

I have a question about AA biz mailers...I am hitting up people to see if I can find anyone who receives them...BUT I'm wondering if it affects that person in any way for me to use their mailer? Will they keep receiving them?
