Thank you :) I know it'll be okay ultimately...just a big hassle, especially on top of everything else that's been going on today (all just little annoying things going wrong one after the other). I just really want to get all this money back home safe and sound in the right account by the end of the month. As far as I can tell Chase thinks everything is a-okay, since the points from the funding are all already posted or pending. So that's good.

I think it's time for a little whiskey and Disney movies in bed :faint:
Why is it stuff goes wrong in multiples? It’s like a law of the universe. And the correct response is almost always a little whiskey & Disney movies in bed!

I got my Serve today, yippee! Looking forward to giving that a whirl, it's been a long time, like 5 years since I've had one. I've got 2 vgcs ready to go, and I opened up a TCF account yesterday for a $300 bank bonus so I guess that's the one I'll be linking.

I've run into an issue with my CSR and am wondering if anyone else has had the same problem. I used it to pay the $5.60 tax/fees on a Southwest fare, and then our plans changed. [A quick aside: man do I L O V E SW RR's, I've made so many changes lately and it's just so nice to not pay a stupid penalty... although I did find out that SW will cancel a flight without your input if you put yourself on two flights the same day while debating which trip you'll take :rolleyes1... learn from my mistake!] So I got a refund of the $5.60, but it had already been automatically "erased" with the travel credit. Now, it used to be that you earned 3xUR on those travel credits, I know it changed ok I can accept that. But now when I get a refund, I'm LOSING 3xURs for the refund!!! That's bogus! I never earned 3xURs on that fee in the first place since Chase changed it! I've SM'd Chase, got the "escalating to different department" message and that department says I'm losing the 3xURs because of the refund and that those are balanced by the travel credit. That's BS and I'll be calling in to protest for sure. What's really weird is that my SW Priority card is being treated correctly: I earn 2xRRs on the $5.60 fee, I lose 2xRRs if I cancel the ticket, and I'm still getting the $5.60 travel credit. The travel credit is a feature of the card, both cards, outside of the 2x or 3x earning structure.

Maybe I'll need to start a Twitter campaign ala @SouthFayetteFan style. Me and my 0 followers haha.

I’m not gonna lie....I have this huge urge to go to universal in the near future. The new hp coaster looks amazing and I didn’t realize it was opening so soon. We’ve also never done volcano bay so that would be on our list as well. I think if we went down for universal we would also do Busch gardens. Their new coaster looks amazing too. It would be so hard to go down and not do Disney though

I can't get my wife on board with flying in November so we're probably looking at Great Wolf Lodge... BUT my idea would be a quick Universal trip. With URs and our CSR it would be amazing...FREE rental car...FREE on site hotel...FREE tickets...(FREE flights via my SW RR stash)...We pay like $300 for food and have an awesome long weekend in Florida! I don't think I'm winning this one though, lol!

I’ll go with you! lol

If we do decide to go to universal I would most likely apply for a CSR. Otherwise we may try some CIC cards and close out CIP cards.

Do you think universal will be less busy at the end of this year because of Star Wars opening?

HAHA - it wouldn't be the same without my girls :( We've gone on a Florida trip the first week of November 4 straight years. '15 Universal & Sea World; '16 Legoland; '17 Universal; '18 Sea World. It has ALWAYS been dead down there - minimal lines, lots of fun! A couple times my parents have headed to Disney after we headed home that same week and said it was crazy there. While Disney crowds have leveled out a bit, and your options at WDW seem to be Busy, Busier, and CRAZY BUSY... The other Orlando destinations seem to still have nice slow times IMO. So that was a long way of saying YES, I bet Universal will be awesome to visit in November if you avoid the holiday weekends.

So my Raise Adventure is finally done...My wife got her last $10 coupon, placed that order AND I got another $5 Raise Cash referral, Then I used my $30 Raise Cash (which came from my Wife's 6 orders). Here's the total haul:

$272.11 - Walmart
$50.00 - Papa Johns
$25.00 - iTunes (as a thank you to my wife for being awesome...I usually try to only by "useful" stuff from Raise, LOL!
$347.11 - TOTAL VALUE

Savings = $79.50; Out of Pocket = $267.61 (this doesn't include some random 1% EBates money I'll get too on many of these orders).

So all told I bought all those GCs at 23% savings. It was a nice little run and we're set on Walmart for awhile now too :)

The one thing I don't know is...how many times would they keep giving me $5 Raise Cash for her orders...I mean they did it 6 times for $30. I'm not sure it should work that way, shouldn't I just get $5 one time. I could keep going and abuse this with really small orders (Example: I earned $5 Raise Cash on a $4.91 order tonight...) but some part of me says I shouldn't over-abuse this...

We may or may not have to make a trip down in November lol.

You should keep going with it! Mine didn’t work like that. Only the one $5 from referring.

@amalone1013 on your question about packing toiletries, I use a version of this Tumi cosmetics bag, and I love it (need to give cred to @CaliforniaGirl09 for telling me about it).

https://www.ebags.com/product/tumi/voyageur-madina-cosmetic/365950?productid=10703674

I've had mine for 4+ years, and it has held up great. I have no problem getting it through TSA when I go carryon, but caveat that that is with TSA Pre. Regular TSA might be more picky. Since I travel so much, I just keep a complete duplicate set of all of my toiletries in this bag so I can just pull it out and go when I am packing.

I'm actually using mine right now in London! I've probably had mine 10 years, and it has held up really well. I don't take mine in my carry on so can't speak to that, but I will add that Tumi has amazing sales a couple times a year. So although they are expensive, I got mine 50-60% off. Apparently burnt orange isn't a popular color, LOL.

Speaking of London .... @calypso726 the London production was FANTASTIC. I loved the guy who played Hamilton and some of the others were just as good/better than the original cast members we saw. The NY production with some of the original cast members still holds the nostalgic #1 position, but I am completely *satisfied* (LOL!) with the price we paid to see it. I wouldn't hesitate to see it again here, and I will be trying for tickets when we come back in June.

Yes it’s refundable within a week I believe. I’m holding two reservations for the same dates Incase family joins us for our trip. I did hard rock since the deluxe room holds 5 and doesn’t charge an extra fee. Never stayed on site for universal so we will see how it goes.
We just stayed at HRH at the end of Jan and it is a great location and so easy to walk to the parks from there. I wouldn’t waste my time waiting for the boat.

We’ve actually stayed at all of them and they are all great. You can’t go wrong with any of them.

Instantly approved this morning for a Chase Ink Business Preferred card! Thanks everyone for your help!

I noticed that I had to check a box that said I would only use it for business purposes. Our phones, insurance, electricity, etc. are all house and farm use. Is it okay to still use the CIP for those costs? I'm assuming yes, but don't want to get myself into hot water!

Chase is not going to audit your statements to check if you’re using your business card for only business purposes; and almost anything can have a reasonable business justification anyway. Chase has to make you sign that disclosure to cover their bases because the CARD Act that gives a lot of consumer protections to personal cards does not extend to business cards. You’ll be fine.

Just finished running the Enchanted 10k and back at the room in Kidani waiting for coffee to brew. I'm wiped out. I trained by running in the cold and snow, which of course is not helpful when it's 73° with a dew point of 71°. Yuck. But after this and the 5k yesterday, I am done. DW is doing the Fairy Tale Challenge, so she gets the half marathon tomorrow.

Sorta :offtopic:, sorta not.....

Time was coming for us to refill one of DH's meds. I was really thinking hard on a new credit card to get as this med was $1050 for 3 months last year. Due to our pacing and spacing I just didn't feel comfortable getting another card at this time so I was going to use the CIU for the 1.5 for UR's. When I went in today to get the Rx the price had gone up to $1200 for three months. UGH The young man helping me asked if we had applied for assistance. We had tried three years prior when DH first went on the meds but we were denied for "making too much money" so we just let it go. He says the manufacturer doesn't ask for any financial info now and starts clacking away on the computer, asking me a few basic profile questions. Five minutes later he says we are approved and our new payment is $10/mo for the first nine months of the year. :scared1: The fourth refill will not be covered but by then we should have met our deductible and hopefully it will be less than $1200.
I have manufacturer discount cards for two of my Diabetes meds. One takes my $400/box insulin that my insurance won't cover down to $10 for six weeks. The other gives me my $300/month oral medication at no cost to me. Always worth looking into, without these two meds I'd be a real mess rather than being in the best health I've been in in almost 20 years.

I got my PNC bonus this morning!!!!! Posting date was yesterday but it just appeared this morning. I checked last night and there was nothing. I just got an email for a deposit and there was my $300. Check your accounts if you are waiting!

:cool1::banana::jumping1: Me too!! Me too!!! Tagging @elgerber and @DisneyMandC to check your accounts. I know you were waiting as well.
