Could you check full size car in St. Louis for 5/24 at 8pm to 5/27 at 2 pm so I know what kind of rates I'd be looking at if I got a card?I have to do a dummy booking (and usually when you do that it will log you off and you have to login a second time). Once you do that the points needed usually drops by 50%. What city are you looking at and I will try on my end?
I love Tax Hawk. And was easy to switch from Tax Act to Tax Hawk when Tax Act raised their prices. The great thing about the southwest portal is you don't have to actually pay anything to get the 1000 RR's. Just filing will do. I did my DS's taxes and because he doesn't make much and it is a simple return, it was free and I still got the 1000RR. For mine, I used Tax Hawk at someone's recommendation here and I was able to file my fed for free and only paid $9.71 per state with code TaxHawk25.
Yes, thank you so much for recommending it! I have to file 3 states so this saved me so much money!I love Tax Hawk. And was easy to switch from Tax Act to Tax Hawk when Tax Act raised their prices.
That is EXACTLY what I did. PDX was out 4 months for a GE appointment so last December DH and I went M-F, booked hotel and air on points and oop for food and drink. Our $39/day resort fee came with a free breakfast, booked through Chase UR's. (Weeknights are generally MUCH cheaper than weekends.)Now DENs next GE appt is showing as June. Vegas however shows tomorrow... so I should totally book a weekend to Vegas just for GE interviews, right?
Sure. Give me just a minute.Could you check full size car in St. Louis for 5/24 at 8pm to 5/27 at 2 pm so I know what kind of rates I'd be looking at if I got a card?

Wow thank you, that is a LOT lower!15,500 miles. Before logging in it was 34,500 miles. That was National for full size. Another great thing is they have a sliding scale to use for virtually any combination of points and dollars.
It seems so backwards that they hide the good rates unless you have a card. I guess some people might be like "oh I'll get the card to see..." but wouldn't that be a turn-off to a normal person. They'd be better off to show the good rate and say it will be higher if you don't have the card. Although then I guess they'll just get a bunch of complaints from people about bait & switch pricing. I guess they just can't win, HAHA!Could you check full size car in St. Louis for 5/24 at 8pm to 5/27 at 2 pm so I know what kind of rates I'd be looking at if I got a card?
I'm seriously considering it. Like maybe take off Monday and fly in Sunday, stay the night and do interviews before coming home Monday night. It will probably depend on how long it takes to get my new passport, I'm sending it in today for my name change. DH is going to start travelling for work some so I'm going to have him stop by the GE office at DEN each time to see if he can do his... I figured why not stop and ask? But if he doesn't have his done by the time my passport comes back...That is EXACTLY what I did. Can we just pause for a minute and say how awesome this place is! People helping people, it's so coolWow thank you, that is a LOT lower!
If it's still saying 30 days I wouldn't jeopardize it with another Chase application. We've seen things stay pending up to a week. Also keep in mind that several days ago may include a weekend and a bank holiday. I'd probably be patient until at least Friday. My CIP application from several days ago is still pending with a 30 day notice. Would it be a bad idea to apply for a different card? We are planning a cruise in Jan 2020, and I'd like to use points for the hotel in San Juan, which will likely be a Marriott or Hilton.
Checked the National site and without any extras the rate would be $282 dollars. Not a bad redemption at all.Wow thank you, that is a LOT lower!

Now if you're looking to Hilton that would be AMEX so probably not as much risk. Do keep in mind though, what if you get approved for both cards - can you meet the MSR on both?
This has been so crazy. I was just reading last night that my hometown has had 3ft so far this winter, which is 10in more than they typically get all winter. And they were predicting another 5-9in last night.Oh yeah, it's official, snowiest February on record, it's still snowing, and there are still 8 days left this month!
Obviously only you can make that decision. I'll just say that when you apply for a Chase Business card you need to be patient and give it up to a week to play out. Applying for ANOTHER Chase personal card while your Chase business card is still pending might not be the best move (what if both end up declined and they shut you down because they suddenly see you as risky seeking too much credit). I'm not trying to sound scary here, but I just don't understand why waiting until Friday or Monday would hurt? You could also call recon if you're feeling bold and see what they can do to move your biz application along (but understand your risk there is you could create a decline when an approval may come with no intervention). It would either be Hilton or the new Marriott Bonvoy business card. I'm pretty confident I can hit the spend.
