I Kicked it I Played it and now..Wheeling & Dealing at the WL final 9/9 p87/88

Shame on you for teasing us with the very special pictures and then saving them for the next update! I hope you update soon, I'm dying to see them!

Maybe I need to go to the first Nemo show of the day, we tend to go in the afternoon when we're hot and tired and I always find myself nodding off! And it really is a great show, I hate that I have trouble giving it my full attention.

Great pics around Y&Y!

Wow, I can't pass up a drink either! :rotfl: I will have to say that last Sept for some reaso I was not in a drinking mood. I did so want one of those light up drinks, but never did get one. I had only two drinks in our 5 days there. :confused3

We did see Da vine, but it didn't really register with me until I started reading some of these TRs that she was something special.

Oooh the Nemo pictures are so pretty! I've never really had any interest in that show, but the more I see and hear of it from people's TR's, the more I want to see it! :)

I just don't get Dinosaur! :confused3 I don't like it, I didn't think it was fun or scary or anything, mostly just annoying! We only went on it once, on our trip in September 08 so maybe I will have to give it another try, but...I don't have high expectations! :rotfl:

Your Nemo pics are fabulous!!!

You know my opinion of Dinosaur after our trip last Oct! Not doing it again anytime soon!

I can't believe your making wait for your special pictures! The suspense is killing me but I bet I know who it was!

No egg rolls?! That's no fun!

Sorry you didn't get an egg roll at Yak and Yeti! We ordered the kids meal in March which was an egg roll with rice and a side of grapes. It made a great snack! I would think they'd have egg rolls on the adult menu too though

I can't wait to see your DeVine pics :)

Apparently from reading everyone's replies the egg rolls should have been on the menu. How could I possibly have missed them. I scanned that menu like crazy. Ugghhhhh...just another reason why I need to go back.

Devine coming up in the next installment.

That is really weird about the eggrolls because I had them!!! I think it was on Sunday but yes......I had two of them....I remember distinctly because I DIDN'T have a seat in the SHADE!!! ;)

Tracy

I don't know why I couldn't find those egg rolls on the menu. :confused3 I think I must need glasses! I'll blame it on the Flagyl!!!!! :sad2:

I guess you would remember the seat in the sun! Ouch! :headache:

Don't freak out but I have a confession. I've never seen the Nemo show. :scared1: If I'm being really honest I'll tell you I've never seen the movie either. :scared1:

Sorry you missed out on breakfast and egg rolls at lunch. Seems like you had a nice day in spite of these factors. Hard to have a bad day in Disney, isn't it??

I would never freak at that because there are a ton of Disney movies I have never seen. I really only know that ones that my kids watched and Nemo was at the tail end of their Disney movie days. It really is a cute movie. You should watch it one of these days then the whole attraction would make more sense.

It's very hard to have a bad day in Disney. And we did have a great day. I will just do breakfast another time!

Sorry you didn't like Yak & Yati CS - I loved it on my recent trip.
The Kung Pao Beef was awesome and a perfect quick meal!
I'm planning Yak & Yeti TS for our next trip...

Maybe I should have had the Kung pao beef because I had a honey chicken that was just "eh". I would have preferred the general tsaos at our local chinese restaurant. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great.

I am going to Y & Y TS in September. I am really looking forward to it!

The Nemo show looks awesome. Loving all of your pics!!!

The Nemo show is definitely :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 two thumbs up in my book! I recommend it for your next trip!

As usual, great pics!!
Too bad about missing the Donald breakfast, we really liked that one! Of course, I have yet to experience a TS meal that I didn't like! CS on the other hand, I could say a couple were nothing special. I had something like honey chicken at Yak n YEti CS once and was not impressed. Oh well.

Can't wait to see the special photo shoot!!!

I have heard nothing but good regarding Donald's breakfast, so I have that to look forward to on another trip. I tried so hard to get it last September, but ended up with lunch. Lunch at the Tusker House was excellent, too.

Ah - so you had the honey chicken, too. Glad to hear I am not the only one who thinks its "eh".

We have never seen Finding Nemo (I think we are going to forget the Studios this year and do half a day at AK and do the safari, the walking trails, Tough to Be a Bug and Finding Nemo.

Love your pics, as always. We've never done Pizzafari--I just can't do Disney pizza (or Florida for that matter). We've not done the CS at Yak & Yeti (we did the table service and lovded it); we usually do Flame Tree Barbecue or go to one of the resorts as AK is usually a half day for us.

I highly recommend Nemo. I can't imagine not liking it. So colorful and full of action!

I never have the pizza at pizzafari. Usually I end up with some type of chicken parm sandwich - just wasn't up for it this year. I do like FTB, but I am always hesitant to eat outside. Yet I know its shaded and would be fine. Next time!

Glad to hear you loved Y&Y TS cause I am going there in September.

I really need to make time to see the Nemo show at AK!

Can't wait to see which Meet and Greet you ran across on your trek to get safari fast passes!

No egg rolls? That's a crime! Thank goodness for lovely shaded umbrellas and more great shots of the theming in Asia!

Oh Jackie - you have to take the kids to see Nemo. Especially seeing that they are into shooting their own action films :rotfl:. They will LOVE it! It really is good!

I think the consensus is that I completely missed the egg rolls for some unknown reason. Doh!

I am being a little evil with the picture tease....:rolleyes1....but I promise to post soon. Of course, I will be ignoring everyone else's TR to get the next update done.

I hear ya about falling asleep in the afternoon. Find me a cool place to sit and watch a show and I am asleep in 30 secs flat.

I think when I eat a lot I don't want to drink as much alcohol because all the drinks are chocked full of sugar and that fills me up more. But to be in a room of people drinking ritas and not touch one - NO CAN DO!

I  Devine or Da Vine or However I should be spelling it.

Glad you like the Nemo shots. I guess its one of those attractions that you need to go see to make up your own mind, but I definitely think it is one of the more creative attractions. Really unique presentation.

As far as dinosaur, I think you either like it or you don't. My eldest DS hates it. He finds it loud and annoying and now that he can go off by himself he would never chose to ride it. EVER!

I'm not sure why I like dino. :confused3 I just do!

Oh yeah - I remember your Dino experience.

The pictures I am about to show you are some of my ALL TIME FAVS so I had to build the suspense just a little!!!!! A girls gotta have a little fun! :rolleyes1

If memory serves the egg rolls are listed as a side, in a wierd spot, like maybe under the desserts? So it'd be easy to miss.

You'll have to try again next trip. Worth going back for.

I totally get why you skipped the Cave. I probably would have too, no fun meeting people and being cranky about it!

Ah Nemo, must see that this trip!

As always....BEAUTIFUL pics!

I remember looking under desserts because there wasn't much to choose from in the way of desserts. Hmmmmm....strange......someone will need to take a picture for me.

Cranky - that is a perfect word to describe how I felt when I started taking the Flagyl again.... Cranky...yes, that was me. It was just below the surface and it emerged a bit more on my last day.

So it looks like I made a major fo-pah when I said I couldn't find egg rolls on the menu. Consensus is that the egg rolls DO exist on the menu, but are written in some non-descript place where harried visitors like myself can't see them. Bummer. Well, I AM eating at Yak & Yeti TS in September, so I will be sure to have an egg roll then. And then I will tell you all about their awesome goodness.

So, I am going a little out of order now. My memory is a little fuzzy, but I am ALMOST positive that I had my next encounter BEFORE lunch. I think it happened during my frenzied attempt to acquire Safari FP's. Since I had become the self-appointed FP runner I figured I might as well use the walk to capture a few more pictures. If you read my last TR you may remember that I spent close to an hour trying to photograph all the different animals and living creatures incorporated into the tree of life.

I added a few more pictures to my collection. These, of course, were taken on the walking path from Asia to Africa....

My new camera is so far superior to my old camera and I think it really shows in the TOL pictures. If only I had taken more. They put my old pictures to shame. Unfortunately, by lunch time the crowds were growing and I kept jockeying for position with a lot of first timers who were just catching their first glimpse of the TOL's back side. I decided to keep moving. No sooner had I abandoned m TOL photograph when I was greeted by one of my favorite, yet most elusive, attractions in the animal kingdom. Da vine had a small group of admirers surrounding her. I didn't expect to have such liberal access to her. Yet suddenly, and quite unexpectedly, I found myself almost face to face with her. I'll let my camera do the rest of the talking, but I will tell you that these are some of my absolute favorite pictures EVER.

So without further adieu.....

Isn't she GORGEOUS???? As soon as I looked in the view finder, despite the horrid sun glare, I knew I had gotten a few winners. Once I downloaded them, I realized that I couldn't possibly pick my favorite. So that's why I am posting almost all of them. If you have a favorite, show me. I am seriously wondering whether these are good enough for a photo contest on the photography board. And, seriously, they are all just dumb luck!

Clearly Da Vine is a model in real life. It is obvious that this particular model loves the camera and the camera treats her with great respect.

So, yes, its a short update. Let me know what you think!

I had a feeling that you were ran across Devine! Beautiful pictures! I can't pick a favorite, either -- they are all so great! You should definitely enter them in one of the photography board contests! :thumbsup2

WOW! I'm glad I stayed up to see your Devine pictures!
Just beautiful! The artistry of her and of your pictures really shows.
I don't think I could pick a favorite, but I like the up close ones and the effects you did on them.

I'm here, hope I'm not too late!! Ok, going back to read from the beginning! :yay: -Stace

Gorgeous pics of Devine. I've never seen pictures of her so close up before.

I have a Donald's breakfast booked as an OPPs coming up. I suspect mine might go the same way yours did but I'm not willing to give it up just yet.

You also reminded me I should make an effort to see Nemo again. I always make sure to see the Lion King but haven't seen Nemo in a couple of years. Nor have I seen Cirque in a couple of years either but I think since Nemo is the cheaper option of the two I'll stick with that one this year. I'm already shelling out extra money for the dance competition fees (the reason behind the trip or at least the reason I tell non-disers about) and we'll be watching plenty of fab performing at the competition.

Is this a new angle on the Dino ride photo? It looks new to me, and I like it a lot better!
They did a temporary change of the camera position so they could refurb the big scary dino at the end. I think it's been changed back to the right side now.

Wow! Great pictures!! I have never seen DeVine... that must be so cool! I agree, tough to pick a favorite and all worthy of a contest. Go for it!

What amazing pictures of both the Tree of Life and of Devine!! She is just gorgeous and those pictures you got are priceless WOW!!!!! And the TOL, can you just come and take pictures for me on the next trip I take LOL!!!!!
